From a farm girl to a slave. From a slave to a warrior. From a warrior to a Taung.

Natasha Orel, daughter of an ex. Jedi named Sevron, didn't have the normal upbringing that most little girls would normally have. This might of been obvious since her father was once a Jedi. But those days were over now. He had broken one of the many rules that the Jedi had put in place, letting his feelings for someone go beyond that of friendship. When Natasha was born and his identity as her father revealed, he was exiled. The mother dissappeared once she had recovered from the birth, leaving only Sevron to take care of little Natasha.

He took his daughter to the planet Drall where he wanted to start a new life for him and his new daughter. He had a countless amount of credits that he had earned and scrapped up for the many years he had been with the Jedi order, and he used it on buying a farm the moment he set foot on Drall. For the short amount of time he had spent with his family before he was taken to the Jedi at age 4, he was a farm boy on Dantooine. It was a good upbringing from what he could remember, and that was all that he wanted for Natasha.

So the child grew up as a farm girl. Her duties were mainly feeding the Tusk Cats, watching over the Shaak as they roamed the fields, and helping her father take care of the crops. She enjoyed every minute of every day working at the farm with her father, riding the Tusk Cats and sheparding the Shaak. It was the perfect life, but Sevron's past was soon to return to visit him, and he knew it. He didn't know when, but he constantly felt a tremor within the force and was afraid that his fears of being hunted down would become true.

Worried for Natasha's safety, he began training her in combat at age seven. She was not force sensative like her father, but that didn't mean she couldn't learn how to fight with a sword. Sevron purchased for her a vibroblade, and taught her many sword techniques and fighting styles just in case she would ever need to defend herself. She learned very quickly over the next three years and was becoming very adept at weilding a blade. But she wasn't skilled enough to prevent her father's death.

At age 10, they came for her. The Taungs, Sevron's most dangerous enemies, had been looking for him. Ever since the day Sevron was exiled, the Taungs had searched for their enemy, knowing he would be alone. He had caused much trouble for them as a Jedi, and now they would have their revenge. They descended upon the farm like locust, too many to count or run away from. So Sevron stood his ground, his green lightsaber twirling in the air violently as he cut down one enemy after the other. Natasha could not bring herself to fight beside him. She was too young and frightened to even move away from the battle. She simply watched on as her father fought for both their lives.

It wasn't enough. Finally after killing a countless number of Taungs, Sevron fell beneath a rain of blaster fire that came from behind. Shout of victory came from every surviving Taung as Natasha looked on in horror. She tried to run to one of the Tusk Cats to escape from them, but there were too many. They grabbed her and took her captive, taking her away from the peaceful farm life she had loved so much.

They took the girl to the planet Mandalore, their homeworld. There Natasha's true destiny would be revealed. But not yet. For now, she was a slave. A play thing for the Taungs own amusement. Or that's what she was at first. She was put to work cooking the animals and the meat that they brought in from the hunts. She thought several times of running away, but it was no use. She had no where to run, and the Taungs would kill her in the blink of an eye once they caught up to her. So sadly, she believed she would have nothing more to do than to accept her life as a slave.

But one day, an oportunity in disguise presented itself. It came without warning and without any particular purpose. Some of the Taungs still aren't even sure what caused the event. Several of them claim that one of their own had stumbled into a nest of Strill and accidentally led them back to camp while trying to run to safety. Whether that was true or not, they came in large numbers and many waves. It was like fate had decided that the Taungs were to be exterminated.

The camp was crawling with the beasts, attacking Taungs and devouring slaves, like Natasha. Despite the fear biting at the back of her mind, Natasha knew she had to move and move quickly if she wanted to live. She ran to a weapons stash that the Taungs kept in the camp and grabbed a vibrosword, falling into a defensive stance as she heard a pack of Strill come up from behind. When she attacked, she did so without hesistation and without emotion. She let her instinct and her skill with the blade take over. Her fear of death was her secret weapon, it was keeping her focused and alive.

One by one she struck down each beast that came her way, soon finding herself next to a few other Taung warriors who had survived the attacks. They fought together for survival, no longer master and slave, or at least for the moment. By the time it was over with and every Strill had been dealt with, over a dozen of the creatures' corpses littered the ground around Natasha's feet. The Taungs almost couldn't believe it. Their weak human slave destroyed countless Strill alone and without any aid. To them she was still a slave, but they could not let her skills go unused.

They put her to much more dangerous work now. She actually attended the hunts with the Taungs, soon earning herself the title of a hunter. The Taungs couldn't help but slowly grow to respect the girl. She was a credit to her race and she even fought like one of them. It was after several months of hunting that they decided keeping her as a slave was a waste of talent. She was still considered beneath the Taungs, but she was given the chance to become similar to them. A warrior.

They trained her in the ways of death and battle, teaching her to feel no fear and to strike without mercy. They taught her how to use hand-to-hand combat and how to professionally fire a blaster weapon. They did this in the hopes of using her in battle if the need arose for she was a potential weapon of doom. She soon proved to be all that they hoped she would be, and she even grew to understand how the Taungs thought. She began to think just like them, always seeking to do her best in anything and everything she set her mind to in order to gain what honor she could. Some of the Taungs even began to think of her as an equal, one of their own. But others hated the girl, and sought to end her life for the good of the other Taungs. When they attacked her, they all fell without laying a finger on her. She killed each attacker just the way she had been trained to, without mercy, fear, or emotion. She was impressive, and their leader was beginning to take notice.

Mandalore summoned her one evening to see this girl for himself. Natasha was astonished to find that Mandalore was just like her. A human. The man acted and talked just like one of the Taungs, and then Natasha learned that he had lived among them all his life, living and learning to become one of them until he soon became their leader. After telling the girl a little about his past, he pushed the matter aside and began to speak about the reason why he had asked to see her. He wanted to rid her of her slave status and make her own of his one personal warriors. Basically, she would become one of the Taungs, just as he was!

After talking it over with him, Natasha finally agreed to do as Mandalore wished. The leader of the Taungs had a set of silver armor made for her. Swearing herself to her new family of Taungs and her new leader, Mandalore, Natasha rose into the ranks of her fellow warriors and began to make a name for herself amongst them. This was her life now, no matter what had happened in the past. She was now a part of the Taungs.
