There was no going back now. Xetno activated both beams once more then flipped her saber to its unfolded position. Without giving the droids any time to get their weapons she would attack. Her blade spun in her hand slashing the one she'd landed on (just for good measure) and then she hurled herself to the next one. She arced the blade around in a circular motion to her left side and sliced another clean in half. Turning then to her side she used one hand to spin it outwards and slice another, ending up with the blade behind her back. She continued with the momentum of her arms -while running to the next droid and expertly danced the blade around her hips while it spun. The whirlwind motion of the blade cut the droid in half at its torso leaving it to die on the ground.
In just a matter of seconds she'd already killed three of the dozen or so droids in her immediate area. Now she had to worry about all the other ones she'd passed by in the shaft. And no matter how badly she wanted to kill each and every one of them, she was vastly out numbered. So she did what she could, and ran. With all of her speed she bolted for the exit to the shaft but there were still a good handful of droids ahead of her, and all the ones coming still from behind. She got no more than ten feet when she had to slow her run and bring up her blade again to defend herself.
Trusting in the Force, Xetno used every trick she knew to swing the blade around her body in every which way. She'd trained for this when she was younger, fighting a dozen remote droids as they spun around her. This was no different. Well, except for the fact just one of those blaster bolts would end her life in a millisecond. Her master tried to make contact with her, but Xetno pushed him out; there were other things she had to focus on and no time to explain to him that she'd messed up. If she were to die, it would be no one else's fault save for her own.
Xetno was thankful that she chose to learn the double saber. She didn't think she would have survived if she only had one blade. As she spun, turned, flipped, rolled, and every other way she could move around with the blade, she managed to at least deflect every blast that would have hit her. Only she wasn't getting very far at returning the bolts back to their owners. And the droids were getting closer with every second. Xetno tried to focus her timing to take out the ones now behind her (as she had to turn her back to the exit), she simply couldn't get the angles just right.
Trust in the Dark side. Trust in the Ren.
The words in her mind suddenly hit her like a rush of freezing cold air. Xetno's mind was instantly taken to a feeling of something...otherwordly. Had she died? Was this the end? Flashes of memories would then flood her consciousness. She saw rain, and a bunch of dark figures standing within in. She saw fire and destruction. She saw death. A strange feeling of pure loyalty hit her. A fealty to something dark in nature. The Ren. The flashing scenes continued until Xetno saw her parents. They were kneeling and she herself was holding her blade between them, the red beams each at their necks. And then a pair of screams that abruptly ended.
And then she woke. She had somehow fallen to the ground; her saber in her hand and still glowing, just barely hovering over the floor, threatening to burn away with it. As she gets to her knees she closes her hilt and holds both blades up high. Around her, broken droids lie defeated, each one with a perfectly positioned burn in its core. Xetno gasps and backs up. Her feet scratch the edge of the shaft causing her to nearly fall. Somehow...somehow she'd killed every last one of them. But she had no memory of doing this,
To the others though, they each would feel it. A powerful disturbance in the Force. The Ren had found her, and took hold of her. It showed her images of the past, the present, and the future. And while her soul (if you will) was lost in the divine light, her body moved with speed and accuracy unlike anything else. A true warrior. It demolished the droids with precise accuracy and got her body to safety. Then it released her. This was nearly twenty minutes ago....
