BIOGRAPHY
Born on Nar Shaddaa as the daughter of a brute enforcer for the Hutt Cartel, the first thing that Neeka Larc was taught was how to survive the Smuggler's Moon. The only gifts her father ever gave her were a low powered hold-out blaster and a strong emphasis on why she needed to be good with it. Bruises were her main form of schooling. Anything else was won through them. Like most on the Smuggler's Moon, Neeka was exposed to an environment that rewarded the cunning and punished the slow, which forged her into a trigger-happy yet upbeat cynic.

Even cynics have their passions and Neeka's comes in the form of quick, dangerous thrills. She had picked up rudimentary knowledge of engineering and mechanics from where she could, but it was not until her first race on the back of a speeder with the lights of floating advertisements flashing past her like blaster bolts did it become her entire life. Ever since that moment Neeka has worked hard to refine both her technical skills and her ability to pilot any craft she can manage in the hopes of eventually making it off Nar Shaddaa. She would come to achieve that goal, though not without sacrifice and hardship and foolhardy actions that nearly got her killed. She was a force of chaos, doomed to implode inward on herself until she found a real purpose.
She found the Way.

LIFE TIMELINE

Family Meeting - At the ages of 4 and 6 respectively, half-siblings Neeka and Kolvin Larc were informed that they would be now living together in Evett’s house after Kolvin’s mother dropped him off like a casual package. The two formed a relationship quickly and soon it was them together against their Hutt’s Enforcer of a father, against the streets of the Smuggler’s Moon, and against the very galaxy itself.

He’s Dead - Neeka’s first inescapably bad situation. After being blamed for a snitching that she never actually did, the girl was cornered in a Nar Shaddaa alley by three larger youths and beaten badly. It would have resulted in a permanent injury, but something within her snapped and she launched into an attack on the leader that was so vicious that he passed away in that very alley from the injuries. Neeka was never the same after.

The Thrill - The concept of streetracing had never really stood out for Neeka Larc as she was growing. It was just something to avoid when it happened, for the kind of people that the events attracted were dangerous and volatile.

Then, she met Be’nni.

The Twi’lek boy was filled with more life and more desire to be the best than anyone she had ever met and soon she was head over heels for him, ready to try brand new things in the name of their love. Eventually, this would result in Neeka clinging to Be’nni’s back while they sped through the streets of Nar Shaddaa in the hopes of winning a fat chunk of credits that would buy them a better life. The girl had never before felt such a rush. While they did not come in first place, the addiction had been set deep within her permanently. Only a few cycles later Neeka had managed to get her hands on the barest bones of a speeder and, with the help of an engineer she had met by chance named Sadies Eradi, she learned how to finish it.

The Escape - With new resolve to put the Smuggler's Moon behind her, Neeka began chasing down leads like never before. Eventually she managed to catch wind of a dangerous swoop bike race that had a big payout while her half-brother managed to track down a broken down freighter that someone was willing to part with for a reasonable price. The race was deadly and the girl witnessed things on that converted sewer track that changed her, but she emerged victorious at the finish line. The credits were theirs.

A few weeks later they had repaired the freighter fully, been connected to a distant channel of the Republic, and set out to the stars as brand new freelancers.

The Purpose - The Larcs ran cargo both illicit and otherwise for years on their ship the Starsong until finally the time came for the siblings to part. Kolvin had found employment as a doctor with a corporation and Neeka assured him that she was capable enough to continue her carefree lifestyle alone. She was wrong. A misstep had ended up with her fleeing through the Outer Rim from bounty hunters, eventually being shot down and crash landing upon an icy planet. Though she was able to evade her pursuers by convincing them she had perished in the fiery wreckage, her supplies were already low and the planet she was on appeared to be uninhabited by any civilization. She had no way of leaving and no one coming to get her.

Neeka lost track of how long she was fighting for her life in that snow-covered forest. Time had lost all meaning to her, for the survival was harsh for a spacer that had no real knowledge of any kind of forestry.

She was hovering at the edge of death and she knew it. The best thing Neeka could think of was to crawl into a clearing so she could at least pass while looking up at the stars that had once been her salvation. This final act had ended up saving her life, in a way, when a passing scouting party of Mandalorians spotted her from a routine patrol. When they landed near the emaciated, filthy girl she was almost feral and suddenly set upon the perceived threat with such ferocity that the Mandalorians nearly put her down right then and there. After some discussion, they decided that for her to have survived in this state for so long proved a strong spirit and instead brought her back to the Wren Stronghold.

The Way

Clan Wren nursed the almost-deceased smuggler back to health and offered Neeka something that she hadn’t known she had lacked until her life had nearly ended. A purpose. A reason to live. There was no doubt in her mind; Neeka Larc was no more and Neeka of Clan Wren would take her place.

For years Neeka trained under Clan Wren and refined previously sloppy styles while also studying their history as well as the tactics, techniques, and past victories of the Mandalorians in general. Though she has completed the trials put to her and proven herself capable enough to achieve the rank of warrior, she has yet to win any great glory and thus her armor remains void of particular pattern or depiction.

She intends to change that as soon as possible.

Personality
•Crafty
-Born on the Smuggler's Moon to a man too obsessed with his own masculinity, Neeka has always had to think on her feet and adapt for the advantages of others. She grew up slick, witty, and savvy.

•Determined
-Neeka believes that those who wait around always miss the best opportunities, but the smartest make their own. The ones that are most successful at it back it up with a quickdraw and lots of firepower.

•Flirtatious
-Attractive, fit, and attracted to extravagant comforts, Neeka tends to celebrate her victories with plenty of scantily-clad suitors of all varieties.

•Reckless
-Neeka has a bad habit of not caring to look before she leaps. For her, luck has been the kindest companion.

•In Over Her Head
-She won't say it out loud, but often Neeka wonders if she shouldn't have just stayed on Nar Shaddaa her whole life. The galaxy is a big, dangerous, weird place that makes Neeka want to run screaming and hide somewhere.

•Flirtatious?
-Things don't always go according to plan, and sometimes those plans are subverted by someone with a disarming smile and secret ambitions. Neeka has known more than a few exes that have screwed her over, much to her own chagrin.
Skills
Neeka has basic comprehension of many different weapons drilled into her by the warriors of Clan Wren, though she favors a single blaster for deadly accuracy. As a racer turned spacer she gained rudimentary knowledge of engineering and mechanics and her skills as a pilot have gotten her out of more than one bind in the past. Neeka is far more agile than powerful and tries to both keep constantly in motion to offset her lack of strength as well as making liberal use of various trickeries.
