After training thread is over, you are no longer a Recruit and you become a Corporal.

Must be a new rule. When Matt and Dar ran things I had to have Dar co-op the training when I was a Corporal. Still, I agree with your decision. Not like we have too many active above NCO though it is a decent amount.

It would make more sense, but i think that Sergeants and anyone else above that rank could instruct better, as Corporals are mainly the Soldiers of the Mandalorians.
