Location: Naboo,the Praji Estate

For centuries, Naboo had nestled far away from the troubles of the galaxy. It was here he had been raised, and it was from here the Prajis would seek to expand their fortunes and wealth. The Baron had grown up in his fathers shadow, skulking as his now late-father simply 'stuck to the land', shoring up what little vestige of power they had left in Theed, the planets capital, as their wealth stagnated and their influence lost its lustre.

But since he Arastrian had assumed the title after his fathers passing, he had seen opportunity on the horizon. The Stygian Reaches presented the chance of a lifetime, the way to build a fortune that would stand the test of time, and place his family firmly back on the map. He stood on the balcony of his ancestral home, gazing out at the tranquil lake that mirrored the sky. This morning marked the beginning of a new chapter, not just for him, but for his family’s legacy.

The establishment of the Stygian Reaches Company was no small feat. He had needed to shake down countless business contacts, many of whom to little to no avail, just to russle up the credits needed to secure a ship and the first few people to crew it. In the end he had needed to sell off parts of his collection artwork, centuries of works sold for the future ambitions of his house.

He breathed out, pent up tension causing his shoulders to tense. He cast his eyes over the CSS Endeavour, an Itinerant-class Freighter, and the CSS Hotspur, a sleek S-161 "Stinger" XL Yacht, standing ready for use on the open land below. A skeleton crew of seasoned spacers and engineers moved with practiced efficiency, loading supplies and running final checks on the ships. The Endeavour, with its robust frame and ample cargo space, would be the backbone of their expedition, while the Hotspur, fast and agile, would serve as Arastrian’s personal vessel.

Arastrian started slightly as a droid opened the door behind him into his study, notifying him that his guest from the Blackwell Corporation had arrived. Quickly, the Baron checked himself once-over. He wore a tailored dark blue tunic adorned with the emblem of his house, his demeanor as composed and dignified as ever.

Despite the calm exterior, his mind was a storm of calculations and contingencies. The journey ahead was fraught with unknowns, and he had little tolerance for failure.

The Blackwell Corp was a powerful and influential business entity, someone you did not want to cross. Arastrian had never met this individual, but the potential for a trade alliance with Blackwell Corp was too significant to ignore. The Stygian Reaches Company needed allies, and Blackwell Corp’s resources could prove invaluable.

The door opened, and a tall, impeccably dressed being stepped inside. His eyes, sharp and assessing, met Arastrian’s with a hint of curiosity. Arastrian rose from his seat, extending a hand in greeting.

“Welcome to Naboo,” Arastrian said, his voice steady and authoritative. “I am Baron Arastrian Praji II. It is a pleasure to finally meet a representative of Blackwell Corp.”

And here Nye is, back in the main galaxy. It wasn't too far removed that that Blackwell has establish the first transgalactic colony from this galaxy to the other one. The colony known as Arden is taking off. It is a successful model. Now it's not surprising that other parties are now wanting in. Could this be the start of a scramble for the Reaches? It remains to be seen.

Father has dispatched Nye to meet with a noble in ISC space, Naboo in particular. There is potential for cooperation, as the 'tygian Reaches Company' has been formed, with the intent of venturing into the new galaxy. Having allies and partners in that theatre would be a boon, suffice it to say.

The clone would nod at the nobleman. "Nye Arden. Pleasure to be here as well" he introduced himself with a nod, a slight smile with confidence, and a slight wave gesture. Nye would be wearing some business-casual attire. Not too formal, not too casual.

This meeting should be interesting.

Arastrian clasped Nye's hand firmly. As he did so
he noted the man's confident demeanor, the way he carried himself with a degree of casualness and relaxtion that was a marked contrast to the more formal gestures Arastrian was accustomed to - a refreshing change.

"The pleasure is mine, Mr. Arden," Arastrian replied, his voice measured and polite. "Your achievements with the newfound colony have not gone unnoticed. Blackwell may be a corporation of considerable clout, but it is undoubtably built through the efforts of people such as yourself."

He motioned for Nye to take a seat across from him at the elegant table in the center of the room. As they settled in, Arastrian moved to a side cabinet, retrieving a finely crafted decanter and two crystal glasses. "May I offer you a drink? Nabooan wine, a fine vintage. I find it helps to ease the flow of conversation."

Arastrian poured the deep, ruby liquid into the glasses, handing one to his guest before taking a seat himself. He observed Nye closely as he sat down, the man was evidently accustomed to quality, but not ostentatious about it. Nye's business-casual attire suggested a pragmatic approach, one that resonated with Arastrian's own sensibilities.

Arastrian knew that Blackwell Corp. was a formidable player in the galaxy’s economy. Their establishment of the Arden colony in another galaxy alltogether was a testament to their ambition and to their resources. The very name Blackwell carried weight and influence, things that Arastrian respected and sought to make use of. Yet he was acutely aware of his own precarious position. The Praji estate was a shadow of its former glory, and the Stygian Reaches Company was barely more than a concept with just two ships at its disposal.

"I believe that our mutual goals can be greatly advanced through cooperation," Arastrian began, swirling the wine in his glass. "The Stygian Reaches are a vast and uncharted region, brimming with opportunities for those bold enough to seize them. With your expertise in establishing successful colonies and our drive to expand and trade, we could create a powerful partnership." the Baron chose his words with care.

He leaned forward slightly, his eyes fixed on Nye with a penetrating gaze. "The Stygian Reaches Company aims to find and extract valuable resources, returning them to the galactic core for sale - the possiblity of profit is something that I believe we can both benefit from."

Arastrian took a measured sip of his wine before continuing with a slight lie. "We have already begun assembling a fleet, modest but capable, to ensure our interests are protected. Our plan is to establish a series of trading posts, not colonies, which we intend to leave to others, strategically located to maximize trade and resource extraction."

He paused, studying Nye’s reaction. Arastrian continued, cautiously concealing the full extent of their limited resources. "We are well aware that the region is rife with unknowns, and while the rewards are great, so are the risks. So, I shall be clear - we have no intention to compete with Blackwell, merely to cooperate. We will not establish colonies, we shall establish trading posts only - centers, most likely small docking facilities, where our ships can land, load, unload and trade goods, and depart. The administration of colonies is not of interest to us, that - we leave to you."

He met Nye's gaze, hoping his message was clear. The future of the Stygian Reaches Company—and the Praji legacy—depended on strategic alliances, but not at the cost of losing control.

As the conversation delved into more detailed planning, the door to the room opened quietly, and a guard from the Stygian Reaches Company stepped in. He wore a simple yet functional uniform: a dark grey tunic with the company's emblem, durable trousers, and sturdy boots, fit for the frontier they were about to embark upon. The guard's presence was a reminder of the delicate balance Arastrian was trying to maintain.

"Baron, the preparations for departure are complete," the guard reported, standing at attention.

"Thank you," Arastrian replied with a nod, dismissing the guard who exited as quietly as he had entered. Turning back to Nye, he continued, "Our ships are ready to depart. The CSS Endeavour and the CSS Hotspur are modest beginnings, but they are well-prepared for the task ahead."

Arastrian maintained his composed exterior, not revealing the anxiety gnawing at him. This alliance had to succeed, but he couldn’t afford to show weakness. "Mr. Arden, with Blackwells support, enabling us to establish a trading post - before we delve further into the Reach, we can ensure the Stygian Reaches become a new frontier of prosperity."

As they continued their discussions, Arastrian felt a sense of cautious optimism. The pieces were falling into place. With partnerslike Blackwell, the future looked promising, provided they could navigate the complexities of this new venture without compromising their goals.

"By all means." he would accept the offer of the Naboo wine. Nye would sit as well

So after listening to the nobleman, there were some good takeaways. Establishing trade posts is a good idea. The commerce will flow, a supply line would be established, and the trade posts would be stepping stones for further expansion/exploration into the new galaxy. Those would be useful, suffice it to say. Nye heard that the company's vessels are ready for launch. "Good."

It is assuring that the upcoming company won't be competition to Blackwell's efforts in the region. "Establishing trading posts is a very prudent idea as things that get started. They will be a much needed supply line for necessities and for commerce down the line." Nye said.

"We have dispatched probe droids and have charted a good portion of the the galaxy at this point, using probe droids around the Arden sector, and are aware of two major native star nations in that galaxy. I would be willing to lend the the data we have. We are also aware of some of the dangerous areas and where to avoid them. You won't be going into the Reaches blind." Information is power as they say.

"Also, I'd be willing to let you place your first base of operations on Arden or in it's orbit, should you need to do so. It is guaranteed safe harbor."

He didn't really look down on the nobleman's modest fleet. Nye might be a corpo but he's not stuck up. It's not always about how much resources you have. What's most important is how you use them. But this sounded good. This was going to be a mutually beneficial deal for both parties in this room.

There was probably more to talk about before the noble-mans ships head of.

Data? the Baron did well to mask his shock.

Such an exchange of information was increadibly valuable - for he knew little about the political makeup of the reaches at this juncture.

Thus far the Blackwell representative’s feedback was encouraging, and his interest in the trading posts validated Arastrian’s strategy. Establishing a series of trading posts as stepping stones into the Stygian Reaches was not just prudent—it was essential for the long-term success of the company.

There was no need to distrupt things, nor compete with the better established players in the Reach.

A Trading Post to begin with was all they needed.

He took a measured sip of his wine, considering Nye’s words carefully. "I appreciate your support and insights, Mr. Arden. Your experience with the sector and the data gathered by your probe droids will be invaluable to our efforts. Knowing the locations of native star nations and dangerous areas gives us a significant advantage."

Arastrian leaned forward slightly, his gaze intense and focused. "Your offer to share this data and provide a safe harbor on Arden is most generous. It will allow us to establish a secure base of operations, ensuring our initial forays into the Stygian Reaches are well-supported. The ability to operate from a stable and safe location cannot be overstated."

He paused, contemplating the potential of this alliance. The resources and knowledge Blackwell Corp could provide would indeed mitigate many of the risks associated with their venture. However, maintaining the independence and integrity of the Stygian Reaches Company was still paramount.

"Our initial operations will focus on resource extraction and establishing trade routes. The trading posts will serve as supply lines, enabling further exploration and expansion - and start to bring in a profit I am sure. While our fleet is modest, it is well-prepared for the challenges ahead."

Arastrian set his glass down, folding his hands thoughtfully. "We must also consider security measures. The uncharted territories are fraught with unknown threats, and while our ships are equipped for defense, how sure can I be that our Trading Post will rest safe on your colony?"

He studied Nye's reaction, ensuring his intentions were clear. "Our aim is to create a mutually beneficial relationship, leveraging each other’s strengths to navigate the complexities of this new venture. I am confident we can transform the Stygian Reaches into a thriving hub of commerce."

Arastrian allowed a brief smile to touch his lips, a rare display of his cautious optimism. "There is indeed more to discuss before we launch. We need to coordinate our initial movements, finalize our security protocols, and perhaps most importantly, establish clear lines of communication between our organizations. The success of this venture depends on our ability to work seamlessly together."

He raised his glass slightly, a gesture of camaraderie. "To our partnership and the promising future of the Stygian Reaches. Together, we can achieve greatness."

As they clinked glasses, Arastrian felt a renewed sense of determination. The road ahead was uncertain, but with strategic allies like Blackwell Corp, the vision of restoring the Praji legacy and transforming the Stygian Reaches into a beacon of prosperity seemed within reach.

"Arden is safe and secure. We have droids protecting our investments on the ground, complimented by a contingent of outside contractors and our very own security agents. The space in the Arden system is patrolled by droid ships as well. Our probe droids are still constantly scouting, always on the lookout for anomalies, and potential threats to be aware of. The protection of your assets on Arden will be assured." Nye would answer that point.

The agent would nod his head, there is indeed a lot more to go over. "Indeed. I would be very happy to discuss such." But yes, to camaraderie yes. Nye would raise his glass. "Yes. With cooperation, we will enjoy the fruits of our work, bringing in prosperity and success in this new and unprecedented frontier. " he would say with a confident smile as he clinked glasses, and then taking a big ship of his drink.

With the deal agreed, Arastrian felt a wave of satisfaction. The alliance with Blackwell Corp was a significant step forward, and now it was time to put their plans into action. He rose from his seat, offering a firm handshake to Nye.

"Thank you for your cooperation, Mr. Arden. This partnership will undoubtedly lead to great things for both our ventures."

Arastrian led Nye out of the private meeting room and into the bustling hangar where the CSS Endeavour and the CSS Hotspur were being prepared for departure. The skeleton crew worked with practiced efficiency, making final adjustments and loading supplies. Arastrian walked briskly, Nye keeping pace beside him.

"As we venture into the Stygian Reaches, the potential for discovering valuable resources is immense," Arastrian began, his mind already racing with possibilities. "Rare minerals and metals could be a primary focus. The galactic core always has a high demand for unique and precious elements that can be used in advanced technologies and starship construction."

They approached the sleek form of the CSS Hotspur, its polished exterior gleaming under the hangar lights. Arastrian paused, admiring the yacht for a moment before continuing. "Exotic flora and fauna could also be of great interest. Medicinal plants, rare biological specimens—these could fetch high prices with pharmaceutical companies and research institutions."

As they boarded the Hotspur, the crew saluted Arastrian, acknowledging their readiness for the mission ahead. Arastrian returned the salutes, then turned to Nye with a thoughtful expression. "We should also consider the possibility of ancient artifacts or remnants of lost civilizations. Such discoveries can be incredibly lucrative in the collector's market and provide significant cultural and historical value."

Moving to the bridge of the Hotspur, Arastrian took his place in the captain's chair, a position that felt both familiar and invigorating. He gestured for Nye to sit beside him. "We must remain adaptable and vigilant. The Stygian Reaches are uncharted, and we will likely encounter unexpected challenges and opportunities. Our ability to swiftly assess and capitalize on these will be crucial to our success."

He activated the ship's communication systems, issuing a final command to the crew. "All systems check complete. Prepare for departure."

The engines of the Hotspur hummed to life, the subtle vibrations filling the ship. Arastrian looked out through the viewport, taking in the sight of the Naboo landscape one last time before their journey. Turning back to Nye, he continued their discussion. "Consumer goods, agricultural products, and even luxury items could all become viable trade goods once we establish stable routes and supply lines. The key will be to assess the needs and wants of the populations we encounter and adapt our strategies accordingly."

As the Hotspur lifted off, Arastrian felt a surge of anticipation. The alliance with Blackwell Corp. had set the stage for their ambitious venture, and now it was time to embark on this bold journey into the unknown. "Mr. Arden, I look forward to the opportunities and discoveries that await us in the Stygian Reaches. Together, we will forge a new chapter in our histories."

With the stars beckoning beyond the atmosphere of Naboo, the CSS Hotspur ascended, marking the beginning of a daring expedition that would shape the future of both the Praji legacy and the Stygian Reaches Company.

The clone took the nobleman up on his handshake. Nye would then follow him onto the ship and during the tour of the ship listening to his speech. All very good points. All true. The possibilities are unless. From flora, fauna, to technology, and the history of alien civilizations. Every aspect yields potential all of it's own to be something more. That's what it's all about.

Now once on the bridge, Nye would sit down as he was politely gestured. "You are correct on all counts." Now the ship is taking off.

Nye would nod as he further reinforces the value of the commerce that will be brought to the Reaches. At the end of the day, the natives are potential consumers, and the galaxy is a new, untapped market. The clone was very impressed with Praji's business acumen. It shows in not only how he thinks, but how he put this operation together with the resource hes has.

"Likewise. Good fortunes for both of us." Nye would smile. So now that the ship is starting to break through the atmosphere, Nye would then ask the good nobleman. "Got any drinks on this ship?" he asked with a smirk. It's going to take awhile before they get to their destination.

As the Hotspur ascended, Arastrian felt a renewed sense of purpose. Nye’s enthusiasm echoed his own thoughts about the great opportunities that awaited them in the Stygian Reaches. The mans appreciation of his business acumen was a silent validation of the efforts and sacrifices made to bring this venture to life, albeit only just.

"Indeed, Mr. Arden," Arastrian replied, a smile touching his lips. "We do have a selection of fine drinks aboard. Here,"

Arastrian rose from his seat, motioning for Nye to follow him. They made their way through the elegantly designed corridor of the Hotspur, the subtle hum of the ship’s engines providing a steady background rhythm. He led Nye to a small lounge area, tastefully decorated yet functional, designed for relaxation on long journeys.

"Please, make yourself comfortable," Arastrian said, moving behind the bar. "We have a variety of choices—Nabooan wine, Corellian whiskey, and even some rare Alderaanian brandy. What would you prefer?"

Once Nye had made his choice Arastrian poured the drinks with practiced ease. Handing a glass to his guest, he took one for himself and raised it in a toast. "To new beginnings and prosperous ventures," he declared, the clink of their glasses marking the start of their shared journey.

As they settled into comfortable chairs, the ship continued its steady ascent, leaving Naboo behind and setting a course for the uncharted territories. The view from the lounge’s modest window was breathtaking, the stars stretching out like a vast, unexplored frontier as they slipped into hyperspace.

"Mr. Arden," Arastrian began, taking a sip of his drink, "I am curious about what you know. You mentioned probe droids and charting new territories. What other things do you think will be crucial for establishing our presence in the Stygian Reaches?"

He leaned back, listening intently as Nye shared his thoughts.

"We must be prepared for anything," Arastrian mused, his gaze fixed on the starry expanse beyond the window. "From negotiating with potential hostile alien civilizations to navigating treacherous territories, our success will depend on our ability to think on our feet and leverage our combined strengths."

As they delved deeper into their plans, the Hotspur continued its journey, the anticipation of what lay ahead palpable. The spirit of adventure thrummed through the ship, a reminder that they were on the brink of something monumental.

"To the Stygian Reaches and the opportunities that await," Arastrian said, raising his glass once more. "Together, we will carve our names into the annals of history."

With that, they toasted again, the Hotspur surging forward into the unknown. The journey had begun, and with it, the promise of a new chapter in the storied legacy of the Praji family and the ambitious reach of the Stygian Reaches Company.
