DESCRIPTION​

The Newt Horizon is a BSV-01 interceptor like the one that Song Wren and Kotii Solus used to escape Tol Amn. The Solus eventually parted ways with the Wren but he acquired a starfighter for himself of the same make and model. Modifying it slightly, the Mandalorian in exile de-limited the thrusters and changed the medium laser cannon to a light ion cannon.

After Kotii Solus's disappearance his son Hauron Solus took it for his own uses. The Newt Horizon is exceptionally fast and has two seats making it an uncommon interceptor. Hauron uses it both for tours of Rancor Squadron and also to train pilots in atmospheric and space combat. It is usually kept onboard the modified Berex class carrier, Dralaalar.

LEGALITY​

Restricted. The armed Newt-class interceptors are military vehicles, and are subject to extra licensing requirements and increased scrutiny by authorities. The weaponless "Butter Newt" modification is legal, and is classified as an ultra-light courier. Scanners easily tell the armed and the unarmed variants apart.
