The ride was bumpy to say the least, Artacus shifted in his seat as the Z Freighter flew through the atmosphere of Onderon. The giant trees of the near planet wide wilds began to come into focus as the ship slowly descended from space. His astromech had control of the ships piloting, not that Artacus himself was not a decent pilot himself but he preferred to leave the mundane flying to the droid. His blaster rifle lay across his lap as he cleaned the weapon ready for the job that lay ahead. Aurelius Kold an old friend from his time serving had given him the inside on what was apparently a well paying job out here in the middle of the Onderon Wilds.

He turned to face the giant cat that was Drax in the seat behind him. "What do you think? Wanna go climb some trees?" He said in jest to the Fars. The astromech beeped and buzzed to let them know they were coming up on the landing point shortly. "Excited to get those claws working?" He added.

Rax lounged across the passenger seat, his tail sweeping soothingly left and right as he manipulated the datapad with long narrow claws. Artacus's joke was standard fare and Rax bared his teeth at the soldier in mock hostility.

"You better hope there's no need to climb out of harm's on this mission" he sneered, "I might forget to wait for you to catch up". He turned back to his pad, closing down his search. He had come up with little anyway. He would have to try again when their task on Onderon was done.

Rax checked his vibroblade and blaster were safely holstered, slipping down off the chair and stretching out across the floor, his back arching. Almost every inch of Artacus's ship was still terribly uncomfortable. Humans were so fond of folding themselves up in their unforgiving little chairs. No matter how many credits the arms trader earned,it seemed he could never be persuaded to spend them on luxuries. Maybe this job would be different and the Fras could finally swap his austere bunk for a plush cushioned bed. A cat could dream.

He turned and felt a stab of discomfort as the old wound in his side brushed against a console. It was healing, but it would sting for a while and he shook himself in an effort to brush it off.

"Please tell me this place is a lot better than the last?" he asked, looking up at Artacus with little hope. The man never took them anywhere easy. "I left most of my nine lives in that warehouse on Ord Mantel".

Artacus smiled at the Fars comment about their little venture on Onderon, it had gone from mundane to life threatening in an instant, but It had kept the pair on their toes and combat ready so Artacus wasn't to displeased by the outcome. "Meh, I could lie to you and say yes, but you know I'm an honest solider. And considering the company Aurelius likes to keep, I doubt it." He said with a little jest on his voice.

The droid beeped again informing them that they were their. Looking out of the view port Artacus spotted a small clearing between the towering trees, inside sat a small hunting lodge, only two stories tall and not overly large. A half dozen tents sat around it people bustling between them and the aforementioned lodge. The lodge itself seemed well made and opulent, a rather expensive looking shuttle sat on a pad to the rear forcing them to land further away on the opposite side of the clearing. As their thrusters blasted dust and grass into the air, Artacus spotted Aurelius making his way out from the lodge followed by a pair of what he guessed were other guards. "This is going to be interesting." He said out loud before turning and making his way for the loading ramp.

He left his blaster rifle and helmet on a ledge just inside the exit ramp, heading out with just the blaster on his hip. He was meeting a friend after all and he knew the sight of Rax would get most people on edge no need to add a fully armed solider to the mix. Aurelius was pretty much at the base of the ramp as Artacus stepped off, he quickly greeted his old friend with a hug their plasasteel armor slapping together. There was some cheery greetings exchanged before Artacus stepped back and introduced Rax. The solider held out a hand as he introduced the guards behind him.
