Olympus

A private security contractor, or as some may choose to call it, a paramilitary organization, that was founded sometime after the Imperial attack on Naboo. While the founder isn't some full on patriot to the planet, he still considers himself a son of Naboo. Olympus was founded with two factors in mind. The first, and most obvious, was a business as a private security contractor to make credits. Squads get hired out to perform missions and the organization gets paid. A very simple and straight forward mechanic. The second point is less direct and straight forward. The second reason for the creation of Olympus is to create another armed security force on Naboo, should its people ever need it.

Obviously a portion of the business is the personnel involved, but the other side of the coin in that particular situation is strength of arms arms well. In that respect Olympus has contracts with existing arms dealers and shipyards, but also keeps its own research and development teams on staff at its own facilities in an effort to self sufficient in the fabrication of their own arms and armor. It is hoped that that in the future the organization can procure enough materials, contracts, space and personnel for Olympus to own and independently operate its own shipyard. In the meantime the scientific staff focus on ways to aid all active Spartans in the field with state of the art technology for both advanced and basic points of research and development in a multitude of fields including, but not limited to: biology and medicine to aid with helping injured Spartans get back out into the field, but also to attempt to advance general fields of medicine for the public as well to aid in fixing the far too often occurring situation of medical supply shortage. Physics, quantum physics and engineering- All apply in ways to help field Spartans become more dangerous and more efficient in their efforts. These areas of science are used to design new weapons technologies to bolster offensive capabilities as well as armor and defensive technologies to help ensure that field Spartans make their way home after a mission.

Those that secure a contract with Olympus need not always pay with credits. A sharing of resources in a mutually beneficial arrangement can be made to appease both parties. Such examples include information brokering, use of resource facilities, trading of Weapons, armor and ship technologies.

Because of the lack of their own shipyard and need to depend on contracts with existing shipyards Olympus' naval fleet is very basic. For now Olympus specializes in ground assault. Outside of the issues with the fleet the reason is due to the effectiveness of Spartan Armor. All active field Spartans are given basic powered armor with no added features, save for a multi optic visual system and holographic stealth system. Why a holographic stealth system instead of refractive stealth? The answer is rather simple. Cost effectiveness and multiple options. Refractive stealth only allows for a point of visual camouflage while holographic stealth offers that and more. With holographic stealth the operator can in essence "cast illusions" around themselves. Enabling a mock form of shapeshifting, as the operator encases himself in a holographic disguise. Outside of the basic and we'll known point of visual stealth, such technology is used for infiltration and creating a point of mass confusion within enemy ranks. How does the enemy react when it looks like one of their own operatives begins attacking their own? Holographic technology is commonplace, and with the demonstration of its application to Spartan Armor shows how even commonplace technology can be transformed into potent tools. All Spartans are allowed to make additions to their armor, but must submit the additions so that the information can be better integrated into strategies for attack or defense.

All those that are employed by Olympus are referred to as Spartans, though not all Spartans are field agents. Currently there are three divisions within Olympus. The first is the most basic, field division. The second is the Cyber Division, with the third being research and development. The responsibility of the field division is somewhat obvious. Essentially a support unit, the cyber division is used to keep all field Spartans linked together for operations, helping with strategies, gathering and relaying information as well as cyber defense and attack. Not all field Spartans are tech savvy, so the cyber division relays information and instructions when needed on a mission. Fifty members are currently active in the division, each with their own terminal work space. The cyber division has its own building spanning five stories tall with two sub levels that act as a bomb shelter should the grounds be attacked. Each above ground floor holds ten terminals, spreading out the operators among the five floors.

The research and development division of Olympus is pretty straight forward. As with the cyber division, the research team is given their own facility spanning five above ground floors and two sub levels. Each floor being staffed with ten personnel. Each laboratory is stocked with the best equipment currently available. The obvious reason is to help make leaps and bounds in fields of technology immediately beneficial to Olympus and its Spartans. The not so obvious reasons are to aid the general public in fields of medicine and biology and even something as unrelated as agricultural assistance. The latter is a point to aid the galaxy and for whatever break through that help the general public to be attributed to the people of Naboo.

There are no ranks within Olympus, outside of High Command. This is to aid in creating a better point of unity and teamwork amongst all Spartans. Just because someone is following today doesn't mean that they can't be leading tomorrow. Leadership within squads are done on a mission by mission basis. Squads consist of a five unit team based on the strengths and weaknesses of each member. Though that is one of the standard practices, another is to permanently keep a squad together while keeping rotating command. Within each squad there is always a medic. This role normally falls to the force user in the squad, but is not solely dependant on that aspect.

Olympus fully supports and sympathizes with

So far, i'd like two add one or two critiques, although I assume you have more to add anyways:

- Basic Organization: I'd just recommend separating out all the information on display so it's easier to pick everything out without it becoming cluttered. Try using some boxes. They're really handy for stuff like this.

- The Tech: You should probably run your tech by @Clayton to see if it's generic or not. If it is, then you can put it up on the workshop and be on your way. If it isn't, youll need to put it through the tech board.

Otherwise, not bad. I'll check it out again when it's updated,

Part of the post got cut off. I'll have to fix that later. But holographic technology is commonplace. It's commonly used in communication devices.

Seeing as ghost's activity is spotty, coupled with unapproved tech, and the tech board being closed, this faction is getting archived.

Feel free to poke me or Clayton if you'd like to revisit avenues that'll help you get the faction approved.

~Cheers!
