The hologram burst into life and Darth Evandrus, the High Judge, stared at his assembled allies as they began their mission. He flashed them a quick smile before it was down to business - his face almost uncharacteristically serious as he stood before them in his casual clothes,

"The bandits have been coming from the ruins of the Jedi Temple Library - which is a different, although local, site. Go there and wipe them out."

He frowned,

"Once they are destroyed in their homes we shall use our builders from Serenno to make a military base upon the ruins of the Library. Everything Jedi shall be defiled until only the Sith remain."

The hologram shut itself off.

Jade had already faced some of these bandits, having defended the site of the new Sith temple from their raiding parties. That mission had resulted in their utter and complete destruction, now it was up to them to finish the job. They knew where the bandits were coming from, so the logical thing to do was to simply destroy them at the root before more sprang up to interrupt the construction work on the new temple.

As was norm before any mission, she checked all of gear to make sure that she had everything she wanted and that everything was in proper working order. The last time she had faced these bandits she had procured some ball bearings and a blaster rifle to deal with them. She still had the rifle and extra ammo, but she instead of the ball bearings she had brought along a couple of detonation packs. What fun was blowing up stuff if you didn't actually make them go boom!?

As the hologram shut off, Jade pulled up a small holo projector of her own and activated it, a small three dimensional map of the library glowing to life above her palm. Holding it up so that the other Sith could see it as well, if they were so inclined, she studied it once more and made sure she had a general idea of the lay of the land. They were invading someone's base after all, the bandits had the advantage here, so it was best to be prepared.

Kano listened silently to Darth Evandrus, preparing himself and all his gear for the next mission, he had defended the builders from those bandits, but now? Now he had the pleasure to attack them, to retaliate and make them pay dearly for their insolence and their cowardice, attacking innocent citiziens of the empire would not go unpunished, that was something Kano would make sure of.

The Kaleesh abomination looked at the bandit's base, a...jedi temple. Kano would have found that amusing or ironic, except for the fact that this could mean so many things, there could be some symbolism, some reason why the bandits chose the old jedi temple as their base, they could be more than simple bandits, they could be rebels, they could be jedi sympathizers, they could have been sent by the jedi themselves, they could be just a small part of a group of insurrectionist that were rallying on the Sith Empire. It could mean so many things, but Kano wouldn't know which one was correct until he found out, until they reached the core of this problem and erradicated every single one of those "bandits". If they were simply bandits, they would be killed as criminals, if they were sent by the jedi, they would die like any other enemy of the imperium. If they thought they were a spark that would create something bigger, Kano would stomp them before they had a chance to lit a single flame.

Kano looked at his companions, Jade Du´kal, who took part of the defense operation alongside him, and Xornoth Sk'ar, a fellow Kaleesh warrior, sith master and warden. The Kaleesh abomination let out a confident smile, looking at the temple they soon would wipe of life, those bandits didn't have a chance against them. Kano looked at the map Jade was sharing to refresh his memory a little, just in case, but it didn't take long for him to get back into position. "Are you two ready? Because we are going to enter that temple and make these bandits understand why they don't mess with the sith" He said, his voice calm and confident "Darth Evandrus told us to show no mercy, and we will show none" The Kaleesh abomination turned to his two partners for the mission "I suggest leaving at least one alive, so we can gather some information from him about their little group of bandits, know where are the rest of them, if there are any after we are done with this place, that's it"

Sith Master Xornoth now made Warden under the High Judge, watched the hologram recording with great interest as their mission was given. The foolish bandits had done a poor job of hiding their whereabouts and had thus condemned themselves to be found out and put to the sword for their crimes. Xornoth stood confidently in his custom Sith armor as his hand rested calmly upon the hilt of his Sith sword which he hoped to use in this mission if he didn't require the lightsaber or blaster pistol.

"The plan sounds simple enough, as long as there are no unpleasant surprises, I suppose."

"No mercy. Make an example. Leave one alive. Got it."

With not much to be discussed, she began leading the way towards the bandit base, the erstwhile Jedi Temple Library. The other two might be stronger than her, and did outrank her, but she got the feeling that she was sneakier than them. And wasn't the point of working in a team to use each other's strengths?

So she marched on, picking up trails, avoiding areas that she thought looked like prime targets for setting up traps, and on the whole trying to be as inconspicuous as they made their way towards the Library. The ship had dropped them off not too far off, but could only get so close without warning the bandits that they were coming. So they still had about an half hour's trek ahead of them.

Ultimately they were within sight of the Library, and coming to a stop on the edge of a clearing, Jade peered out from under the cover of trees as their target. They hadn't been spotted so far, be it due to her skills or just pure luck, and that gave them an advantage. They were going to win this fight regardless, it was what was demanded of them after all. But the element of surprise was always a good thing to have on your side.

Turning to the others, she waited on how to proceed from here. "Charge in from the front and make one hell of a mess or sneak in from the side and take them all out before they even know we're there?"

The Kaleesh abomination followed Jade, moving almost completely silent, the only sound coming from him being the low, faint noise of his metallic leg stepping on the ground with every step forward, something that wasn't noisy enough to draw attention.

Kano looked at the entrance from behind their cover after hearing Jade explain the two possible options, thinking of what would be best for their operation, he really liked making a mess out of the poor enemies he usually fights, but this was a sith operation...and bussiness came before pleasure "As much as I would love to charge and massacre their forces head on, a wise warrior must use every advantage he has on his favour, sneaking and catching them of guard would be the best course of action in my opinion" He stated, looking at Xornoth "Like hunting a pack of Mumuu what do you think, Xornoth?" He asked him, knowing if he was fine with working that way, would he agree, they would proceed with the plan

Naturally, Xornoth followed the apparent guide Jade, it didn't really matter to him how they arrived but everything seemed to work out fine. The smaller Kaleesh of the pair, he walked under the shadow of Kano and watched the ghastly warrior sway as he walked with dread in every step taken.

Finally before them stood the temple they had sought, two paths could be taken to cleanse the temple of the heretic bandits.

"If they do not know that we come, the less chance they will be able to run. I agree with this plan."

There were times when you could do everything wrong and still come away with unscathed simply because luck was on your side. There were other times when you could do everything right and still fail because the stars were not aligned in a favorable manner. This was one one of the latter instances.

Even though they did everything right, making almost no noise sneaking in, just as they had snuck past the first series of tents that the bandits had set up in the ruins if the library compound, a nexu pup came scampering out of the corner and just stood where it was while the pup and the Sith stared each other down. There was a moment when everything was quiet, no one moved, no one made a sound. And then the pup exploded into barks that split the silence. The next moment a young woman came around the corner and stopped as she spotted the Sith.

Jade wasn't sure if it was because of her, or the fact that there were armed intruders in their camp, or that Kano was about as scary looking as anyone could be, but she let out a loud shout. "INTRUDERS!! SI.." She was about to shout more but Jade promptly put a blaster bolt in her head and brought that to an end, following up with a shot to the nexu pup for good measure.

But the damage was done, and bandits began appearing from the tents, armed and ready for a fight. "Well," she muttered to her fellow Sith as she raised her rifle and got ready to get to work, "so much for that plan."

"Well, it is time for plan B, then "Kano said, a predatory smile coming from his lips, there were not many situations where the Kaleesh abomination liked things not going his way, but this had tl be one of the few instances where he didn't mind, he liked being sneaky when hunting animals, but in situations where it were sentient beings that were being hunted down...he preferred to let out the merciless, scary monster that he enjoyed being from time to time.

Only three bandits had time to come out to try and defend their base from the sith before the Kaleesh came into a frenzy and runned towards them. These bandits where located in the tents that were nearby the woman that just got shot and had little time to get on their feet before Kano was already breathing on their face. The Kaleesh abomination let out a loud, deep growl which accompanied the sound of the crimson blades coming from the hilts that he was whiteknuckling, the first bandit had it easy, getting his chest impaled and a quick death. The second one had it a bit rougher, cut in two, an horizontal cut that separated his upper body from the lower one, followed by one lightsaber blade going through his eye and skull. The third one was the one that had it rougher, he aimed at the Kaleesh abomination with only a couple of meters between them, but failed to understand that he had to aim where the blades weren't protecting him, like his legs and feet. The bandit instead tried to shot him in the face, the bolt being deflected without too much trouble. The bandit didn't have a second chance, though, one of the four lightsabers going through the blaster and then through his arms. What folloed next was Kano's robotic hand wrapping around his neck, inmovilizing him, making i easier for him to use his teeth, his unnatural teeth, to carve a big hole on his face. Kano dropped the body, spitting out the chunk of meat he took from it, realizing how slow the bandits were, how untrained did they have to be to take so long to fight them? Kano certainly wasn't going to wait for them, swinging and stabbing as many tents as he could, trying to end the life of those that rested within them.

Sneaking through was no longer an option, which sat well with Xornoth as now they were going to have fun with these bandits. Xornoth spread out from the other two to ensure that their little fight would not allow bandits the ability to run, the tents themselves were easily set aflame as he walked on by looking for targets of opportunity to either cut down with his now ignited lightsaber or with blasts of lightning.

A trail of bodies and flame would follow him as he made the way through the bandit camp, occasionally glancing up toward the temple in case they had further reinforcements from there. At first, there was nothing but silence but as their assault picked up in both chaos and destruction, the first hints of bandits began to appear from the temple entrance itself. Xornoth smiled and began to make his way toward them and easily kept their incoming blaster rounds away with his lightsaber.

He trusted that Kano and Jade would be able to handle themselves while he entered the temple to hunt and crush the remaining opposition within. It was like a wulf cornering the last few hares, it was only a matter of time.

Jade didn't charge the bandits, she simply opened fired with her blaster and started dropping them one by one, only stopping when retaliatory shots finally started flying her way. She let the rifle drop, letting it hang by the strap she had slung around her neck.

Instead she drew her blade and began charging in Kano's wake, cutting down any leftovers the Sith Master hadn't already dealt with. While the two Sith Masters went about doing her thing, Jade began looking around for the best place to set up her charges. But the bandits seemed to be as disorganized as they were foolish, and their tents were set up in a weirdly haphazard manner, and she couldn't spot any spot that seemed perfect for setting up a chain of explosions by taking out a large number of them. No matter where she placed the charges, they would manage to take out just a handful of the tents.

Giving up on an easy end to this, she ran away from the two other Sith towards a cluster of tents and dropped the first charge, waiting till she was far enough to turn around and shoot at the charge to set it off. She repeated the process once more as she circled around back towards the other Sith, both explosions setting a few tents on fire and taking out a few bandits but not putting as big a dent on the structures as she would have hoped for.

"Incompetent fools." She muttered as she continued running back towards Kano and Xornoth, hoping they had more success than she had.

The darkness of the temple was corrupted by the dark crimson glow of his lightsaber and the eruption of blaster fire in his direction as the Sith Master took carnage across its inhabitants without mercy. Each corner he took within its walls stood another helpless victim who tried to surprise him but was met with a violent slash across their chest or burst of force lightning to stun them while the lightsaber destroyed their body instantly.

A trail of bodies littered the path he took cleaning out the bowels of the temple from the raiders and bandits that hid within. They were peasants and untrained, it was more of a slaughter than a battle but it had to be done as these heretics had defied the empress and stood against what she intended to build up. Their defiance was heretical and had to be crushed with impunity lest others think they could have a free hand at rising up themselves against her and making a claim for themselves in the stars.

It was only a matter of time before he had crossed every path, entered every room and doubled back toward the entrance. Several bandits had fled the temple hoping to escape out the entrance only to find themselves running into the other Sith present. With the temple secured, all that remained would be cleaning up the rest of the bandits in the camp and they were home free.

Kano looked around after cutting yet another of the bandits trying to defend their base and save their lives, Xornoth was off making sure nobody was left alive inside the temple, Jade was trying to use the explosives to make a quick work of the tents and the poor bastards that didn't already get out of them in time without much success, who would have known that their incompetence would work in their favor? The Kaleesh abomination sighed, they would have to make this the old way, kill them all one by one, limb by limb, slash by slash, it would take a bit longer than Kano initially thought, but it had to be done.

However, the Kaleesh abomination examined the bandits once more, they looked really scared, some were crying, others were praying, many were going deeper inside the temple to try and get away from the sith (and finding the other Kaleesh that had gone that way) Their pulse trembling, begging for mercy, abandoning their comrades to their fate, some sith would have loved to see their enemies be so scared of them, so scared they could barely fight. Kano, however, was not like most sith "And you consider yourselves soldiers, warriors? You disgust me!" The Sith warden said, anger coming from his voice, he could not believe that the people that were trying to fight the Sith empire were so stupid, did they think the empire was made of just peasants without knowledge about fighting? Did they expect the Empress to send a couple of rookies? But, that was not what angered him the most, it was how honorless they were, how they didn't even try to defend their cause, what they were fighting for, but most importantly, how Kano was once again in an unpleasant fight, a fight that didn't thrill him, a simple slaughter that lacked any kind of challenge.

However, their pathetic display was worth something for him, it gave him enough rage to end the fight even quicker, the abomination's eyes began to glow brighter, his mouth letting a predatory smile, The Kaleesh let out a monstruous, eldritch growl, his blades now asking for more blood and carnage, the dark side of the force gathering on him, feeding on his rage and bloodlust, he was now using a technique which was called force rage, Kano ran towards the bandits, his speed, strength and reflexes dramatically increased, the four blades deflecting bolts and returning them to the bandits, the abomination jumping into groups of bandits to cut them into pieces, using his lightsabers, his hands and his teeth to tear them apart, the Kaleesh warrior was acting like a human blender, turning the bandits into paste, making a Bloody Mary with the blood of the cowards and the honorless, making a quick work of the survivors and accelerating the whole process.

After maybe a few minutes, the tents were no more, the bandit opposition had been dealt with, the walls of the temple were painted with blood, and so was Kano, who looked a lot more red than he was before. The Kaleesh abomination was breathing in an agitated manner, he was now exhausted, but he had vent off a lot of anger, which would facilitate controlling himself in future operations. Kano looked around, his partners were probably near by now, and there was no one present but a last bandit, the lucky (or unlucky) bandit that survived Kano's slaughter by cowering in a corner and not drawing attention. the Kaleesh moved towards him with the lightsabers still turned on, but didn't kill him, he really wanted to, but they still needed someone to interrogate, he would let either Xornoth or Jade do the talking, however, he still needed some time to catch his breath...

OOC: Let's make this the last round, interrogate the guy so we wrap up this thread

"Speak." Jade braked at the bandit she had brought dragging with her. Seeing another bandit lying in front of Kano, she realized that he had come to the same conclusion as her, leave one alive to get whatever info they could. Well, that also meant that the one she had brought was expendable.

So as the bandit whimpered and resisted, Jade tossed him in front of her, in full view of Kano, Xornoth and the last bandit, and let out a sigh. "If you can't speak then you are of no use to us sweetheart." With that she pulled up her rifle and shot him in the face. With a sweet smile on her face, she turned to look at the last bandit and raised the rifle to point at him.

Turning to Xornoth, she gestured towards the bandit with a nod of her head. "All yours."

The finality of the assault was drawing near as the last few bandits were being cut down just leaving the terrified last captive to enjoy the fruits of Sith interrogations. The force gave them one advantage that their capture did not and that was the ability to defend ones mind effectively. The scared cowering man looked up submissively toward the trio looking for mercy where he could find none.

Xornoth did not have to be kind, nor take his time as he brute forced into the mind of the defenseless man in search of clues or useful information. The attack cared little for the welfare of the target and would leave his mind utterly destroyed in its aftermath at the conclusion of the interrogation. His limp body lay broken and mind consumed, a person no more.

The Sith had completed their task and extracted the information they could from the group. The time now came to report back to the High Judge on their success.
