Interest Check Osarian Rhommamool RP

Hey folks,

It may come to no surprise for the discord folks, but I'm a fan of the (now amazon prime) The Expanse.

Now, star wars has a similar situation with the FWA-membership enjoying rich world of Osarian (earth) and the impoverished former mining world of Rhommamool (mars). Each decade their orbit comes so close that they're in each other's missile-range, usually resulting in a war that lasts for as long as the planets are this close to one another (couple of months).

Add an Ossein spacestation to the mix that's mining valuable ores from asteroids (intended for Osarian and Rhommamool, with ore traded for foodstuffs, fresh water stuff like that) and you basically have the setting for the Expanse.

But instead of some OP alien dna I want to introduce the Sith. They'd go to Rhommamool to help them prepare better for when the planets are close again and use pirates to raid the ore transports intended for Osarian (both further impoverishing the Ossein space station).

BASICALLY, I'm hoping I'm not the only one interested in a story on such a small scale compared to the usual grabbing planets and conquering the map. If you'd like to write this story with then please let me know and if there's enough people I'll be starting this off with a narrative-starting mission pack to introduce NPCs and the Ossein station.

I'd be interested in this. Either with my Sith Acolyte or with a new character (a miner who's all ready to be a fighty belter). Whichever is most useful.

@Eccles, if there's room for Jedi, @Lani Tallis exists for "small-scale and personal" (at least for now).

I also have a pirate NPC (no profile yet, but has prior involvement with the Sith). That is, unless @Mr. Teatime or @Topher want to acquire that NPC and associated assets after "Forging Bonds". I'd actually prefer it if they did make use of the "Forging Bonds" stuff somehow. ;-)

oh yes. this looks quite interesting! Count me in for something somewhere. I haven't watched the expanse. But this reminds me of the thread fall on Pern due to the rotational time period of events.

Yo count me in for some Sith shenanigans! This seems like the perfect way for Ignis to gain more clout amount the Sith.

Hey @Eccles is this something you'd still be interested in doing? If not, then maybe a smaller plot we could 1x1?

I am a big fan of The Expanse. I'm too embarrassed to admit how many times I have seen the show (though I haven't read the books).

I think you found the treasure chest with your setting comparison, beratna, especially the Earth/Mars/Belter substitutes. Either way I may just make a beltalowda character for this setting anyway. I was also a fan of your Ben Haradan character!

Yeah I checked the date too lol but wanted to ask anyway. Sometimes ideas don’t die with time.
