“I'm fiercely independent, but I'm also terrified of being alone.”

Twas the first adventure that wasn't dictated by some form of a higher authority; the choice derived from the self. In the past, Syrin yearned to finally obtain this freedom, but at the moment it felt as if something was missing. Was it the loss of her family or purpose, or was it the need to have a hierarchy in life that offset her; None of these thoughts occurred in Syrin's mind, but they crept in her subconscious. The reality was too harsh to handle, the bravery needed for a mere being to face the truth of that level was impossible to obtain.

Coruscant had always been on Syrin's go-to list of planets; it was, of course, the 'Queen of the Core'. Her indifference to the planet was mostly due to the visit being a chore, not a vacation. Syrin wasn't entirely sure what level she was on, but she concluded it must be one of the upper levels since there was rain. She made her way to a cantina, hoping there will be someone there looking to hire an extra set of hands for a job. There were a variety of faces inside, all of them hideous but some less hideous than others. Syrin took a seat at the bar and ordered herself a drink, and at the same time, three men, who seemed to have bad intent written on their face, walked in. Everyone in the cantina quickly got off an left, Syrin stayed to finish her drink. One of the men approached Syrin from the side "I think it's time you left little lady, we have some business with that bartender hiding behind the counter." Syrin set the drink down and glared towards the man "I'm not ready to leave this fine establishment yet." All three men pulled out blasters and pointed them towards Syrin. She let out a sigh, running into trouble this early was a sign of bad luck creeping around. Somewhat concealing her left hand, Syrin used the force to fling a chair towards one of the three men. The other two, not understanding how the chair was moved, stood confused. Syrin force pulled one of the bottles from the bar shelf towards her and smashed it over the man directly to her right. The last man turned to fire on Syrin, but she used the force to send him flying out of the cantina. The man who got hit with the bottle attempted to stand back up, but Syrin kicked him right underneath his chin. Sirens could be heard in the far distance and the sound of a door opening was heard in the back of the cantina. The bartender signaled for Syrin to come over "Coruscant Security Force my friend, you must go."

Syrin spent the rest of the day moving through the alleyways of coruscant. Eventually, she stopped and decided she should look for a place to say, but it seemed as if she misplaced her wallet. It clicked in her mind that bartender most likely snatched it off of her; Syrin was furious but it was pointless to do anything. Syrin was too tired to walk all the way back to her ship, so she had to settle with sleeping in a dirty alleyway. At this precise moment, Syrin realized how badly she took her childhood for granted.
