DESCRIPTION
The life of a mercenary pilot can be lonely, dangerous, and often uncomfortable. In an effort to mitigate at least one of these factors, many independent owners of small combat craft - which are not typically fitted for extended occupancy - will do their best to make their ships more livable. In the case of two-seat ships without crew spaces besides their cockpit, such as heavy starfighters and starbombers, a common practice is to remove the copilot or passenger position, freeing up extra space and often installing some amenities.

Typical passenger deletes include various "luxury" features, such as a small autochef or fold-away galley, a holographic entertainment system, a fold-away refresher with sonic facilities, and some storage space for regularly used personal items, such as clothing and weapons. Additionally, the pilot seat may be modified to fold back into the space, creating a bed.

Installation of a passenger delete package will naturally remove 1 slot from the crew or passenger roster. If a crew member is removed, all responsibilities of that individual are transferred to the pilot or shared among the remaining crew. This should be reflected in role-play.

Ships with over 3 crew or passengers, or which already have amenities listed in their description or elsewhere in their write-up, do not need this upgrade. Likewise, this upgrade can only be used on ships which have the crew and/or passengers sharing the same space; single-seat ships, or ships with physically separated crew positions or passenger compartments likewise cannot use this upgrade. Ships with over 3 crew and/or crew spaces other than the cockpit are assumed to have the listed amenities already, or can be updated with them at no cost.

LEGALITY
Legal. Amenities upgrades are fairly standard in civilian and even some special forces small craft, and are not regulated by most governments.

INTENT
To create an amenities upgrade for starfighters, intended for characters who live out of their ships, but don't want a whole light freighter weighing them down in a fight.
