4500 BBY: The first noteworthy species the Kemetians meet are the Chiss. The meeting did not go so well, as the two quickly entered a war with one another. In Kemetian teachings, it is said that the Chiss, who were already weary of outsiders, feared how technologically advanced the Kemetians were and believed that they would be enslaved. The war only lasted for a few years, as the two civilizations did not wish to shed blood for no purpose.
4000 BBY: The Kemetians encounter the core of the galaxy, meeting various species and governments. However, a sickness began to spread swiftly amongst them. The Kemetians were isolated on their homeworld for so long that meeting new civilizations too quickly brought forth many unknown disease and illnesses they never experienced. Believing that the sickness was a sign from the Netjer, the Pharaoh at that time declared that intergalactic travel would be banned as to keep the illness from getting worse. All Kemetian colonies were abandoned, and all ships capable of hyperspace travel were dismantled.

The Kemetians, referred to as “Egypti” in ancient times by outsiders, were a species of mammalian humanoids from the unknown-region planet of Kemeta. They were known for their culture which included their magnificent architecture, clothes, and religion.

Biology & Appearance

The Kemetians were typically taller and in better shape than the average humanoid. Their hair was curly and kept in braids. The copper skin glowed flawlessly when standing in the sun.
Physiology
“O people of Kemeta, men and women born and made of the elements, but with the spirit of the Divine within you, rise from your sleep of ignorance! Be sober and thoughtful. Realize that your home is not on the earth but in the Light. Why have you delivered yourselves unto death, having power to partake of immortality?”

The Kemetians are very similar to humans regarding structure and how their bodies operated. The only notable differences include:
- Slight increase in average height and weight
- Longer lifespan
- Affected less by the sun's rays
• Skin cancer, signs of aging, sunburns, and harsh reactions to the eyes were mostly non-existent to the Kemetians
Lifecycle
Kemetians were capable of living up to 200 years old, but it wasn't uncommon for some to come up short or live past it by a few decades. A Kemetian is considered an adult once they turn 18 years old, but they are assigned a pre-determined occupation at the age of 10 through their coming of age ritual. The ritual was simplistic, and involved testing the force sensitivity of children.
Reproduction & Offspring
Kemetians reproduce the same way humans do. The gestation period was similar as well.
As part of Kemetian culture women typically gave birth to 6 or more kids. They did so hoping that one of their children had a strong connection to the force, leading them to receive a well sought-after occupation.

Kemetians were a proud people who believed in honor, bravery, and the utmost respect for each other. They carried themselves in high-regards and believed that living a virtuous life filled with wisdom and hard-work provided a happy end. Overall they still experience emotions the same way as humans do.

The Kemetians lived within a monolithic society. They all followed the same religion and lifestyle. Kemetians who chose differently were viewed as outcasts or even as far as evil. There were a few minor differences in how each Kemetian lived their life based on their region; those who lived in coastal cities would have a few differing interests than those within the capital. Overall however, the Kemetians believed in upholding their way of life believing it was the correct way to honor the Netjer.
On top of worshipping their gods, the Kemetians worshipped their Pharaoh. The Pharaoh was originally an individual chosen by the gods to lead the Kemetians and act as a spiritual link between the two. The title of Pharaoh was passed down through blood. The title would handed to the eldest force-sensitive child, regardless of gender, upon the death of the Pharaoh or when the Pharaoh deems the child worthy. The eldest child could also be challenged for the right of ascension by their younger siblings but this could only be done so on the day of appointment.

Girls with a strong connection to the force would work in the medical and other scientific fields. Those who had a weak or non-existent connection were typically left to pick up trades or agricultural jobs.
Once a child received their occupation, they would immediately begin apprenticeship. Until they turned 18, they would study and learn their trade under the adults. These children wouldn't be compensated in pay by the government, but were typically gifted food and coin by their masters for their hard work. When a couple decided to start a life together and announced it to their parents and friends, they simply started living together. There was no religious ceremony held between the families. However, there was a contract involving the transfer of property, which made both of them financially obligated to one another.
Divorce was uncommon, but still existed. According to the 37th Pharaoh's law, the parent that kept primary custody of the children received a majority of the finances. The decision on which child went to which parent rested with the child. If the child was too young to make a decision, typically the older sibling would make one. If there wasn't an older sibling, the child would immediately be given to the mother. Due to this ruling, mothers received custody more often than not.

Most Kemetians eat twice a day with their meals typically consisting of poultry, legumes, and various vegetables. Fish and seafood were common within coastal cities. Red meat was considered a luxury, and typically eaten during religious ceremonies.
Clothing & Appearance
The Kemetians style of clothing is very open and extravagant. Both men and women wear golden jewelry ranging from earrings, necklaces, and rings. They spin and weave fibers into light and comfortable robes, dresses, skirts, and loincloths. Most wear white clothing, as dyes are a luxury typically used by the wealthy or for religious ceremonies.
Some cruder outfits involve the wearing of animal pelts and skins. Most travelers and warriors wear these to protect themselves from the harsh desert environment.

The Kemetians do not have an official name for their primary language, but the Chiss simply refer to it as Kemetian. Certain key distinctions include:

Ancient History
Circa 35,000BBY: The oldest known stone markings and writings were made. Kemetian historians and scientists believe that their species has lived even beyond that point, but view these findings as the first instance of recorded history. Many of these markings portray the Netjer; the Kemetians believe that their gods arrived around this time.
Circa 25,000BBY: The Kemetians enter a golden era full of vast wealth, knowledge, and advanced technology with the assistance of the Netjer. Many pyramids, temples, artifacts, and other monuments were built around this time to honor the three gods.
Circa 20,000BBY: The first Pharaoh is presumed to be chosen by the Netjer based on an epic etched into a stone tablet. The outcome of the epic entails that the Netjer left, leaving the Pharaoh to continue leading the civilization.
In the land of Kemeta, where legends and myths intertwine, a majestic phoenix soared through the skies, its vibrant plumage ablaze with the hues of fire. This phoenix, known as Bennu, possessed a power unrivaled by any other creature in the realm. Its very existence was tied to the life force of the Netjer, and as long as Bennu thrived, so would they.
But darkness loomed over the land, as an evil sorcerer, Hakor, sought to extinguish the light of the Netjer. With his dark magic and cult followers, he began to spread chaos and despair across the realm, causing crops to wither, rivers to run dry, and the hearts of the people to grow cold.
As the people of Kemeta lost hope, Bennu sensed their despair. With a resolute spirit and a heart filled with compassion, the phoenix decided to save Kemeta from the clutches of darkness. Bennu descended from the heavens and alighted in the village of Eldoria, the first place that had suffered under Hakor's tyranny. The villagers, downtrodden and weary, greeted Bennu with a mix of awe and reverence. The phoenix's radiant presence brought a glimmer of hope back into their lives. However, the village was a trap set up by Hakor in order to capture the great phoenix. With the combined might of his dark followers, they imprisoned the beast within an amulet. Hakor now wielded the power of the great phoenix, and sought to use that power to overthrow the Netjer.
Ankhtakelot was a poor farmer who lived alone on his small plot of land until two individuals, brother and sister, in poor health and condition sought refuge with him. He took the strangers in without hesitation and attended to their needs. The siblings questioned Ankhtakelot on why he had no qualms with helping them although he could barely take care of himself. He eased their minds, stating it was simply the right thing to do.
The two siblings revealed themselves to be the Netjer, the son and daughter, Ausare and Aset. They explained that their powers were being drained by Hakor, the wielder of the mystical powers of Bennu, and that they would cease to exist if it persisted. With what little energy remained within them they poured into Ankhtakelot and bestowed tasked him with saving the phoenix and bringing balance to the world.
Ankhtakelot journeyed to the decrepit palace of the sorcerer god and confronted him. The two engaged in battle, but Ankhtakelot was outmatched. Hakor was delighted as the Netjer were brought before him, and with their power he would become the most powerful being throughout the land. He drained the godly energy out of Ankhtakelot, eventually casting him aside and proclaiming himself as the "Man God". To his surprise, Ankhtakelot rose to his feet and with all of his might let out a mighty battle cry that shook the sky. Hakor was fearful for a moment at the sudden burst of power Ankhtakelot had within him, but quickly regained his confidence as he now possessed the power of the Netjer.
The two clashed for a final time. Ankhtakelot fell to his knees as he was sliced across his chest. All hope was lost, until he revealed the Amulet he snatched from Hakor as the two collided. Without hesitation he poured all of his power into the Amulet until it bursted, freeing Bennu from his cage. Hakor attempted to escape upon seeing the phoenix escape, but Bennu quickly set the sorcerer ablaze. The searing flames enveloped the sorcerer, consuming him in a torrent of purifying fire. With a final cry, the darkness was vanquished, and balance was returned.
In the aftermath, as the people of Kemeta celebrated their liberation, Bennu's magnificent form slowly faded revealing itself to be the Father, Amun-Re. The Netjer all three approached Ankhtakelot and bowed. For his act of bravery, the Father, Son, and Daughter bestowed upon him the mantle of Pharaoh and handed him the responsibility of being the link between the Kemetians and themselves. The divine entities then dissolved into a cascade of shimmering sparkles, slowly fading into the air.
From that day forward, Kemeta thrived once more, and Ankhtakelot became a legend, a symbol of honor, courage, and selflessness. The tale of his journey echoed through the generations, reminding all who heard it that no matter how dark the world may seem, the light would always find a way to rise again.

For his act of bravery, the Father, Son, and Daughter bestowed upon him the mantle of Pharaoh and handed him the responsibility of being the link between the Kemetians and themselves. The divine entities then dissolved into a cascade of shimmering sparkles, slowly fading into the air.
From that day forward, Kemeta thrived once more, and Ankhtakelot became a legend, a symbol of honor, courage, and selflessness. The tale of his journey echoed through the generations, reminding all who heard it that no matter how dark the world may seem, the light would always find a way to rise again.
Circa 10,000BBY: With their gods gone, the Kemetians begin traversing the unknown regions utilizing their own method of hyperspace travel which is now long forgotten. They meet primitive species and begin to establish colonies. They also begin studying hyperspace anomalies and the Purrgils.
Introduction to the Galaxy
4500 BBY: The first noteworthy species the Kemetians meet are the Chiss. The meeting did not go so well, as the two quickly entered a war with one another. In Kemetian teachings, it is said that the Chiss, who were already weary of outsiders, feared how technologically advanced the Kemetians were and believed that they would be enslaved. The war only lasted for a few years, as the two civilizations did not wish to shed blood for no purpose.
4000 BBY: The Kemetians encounter the core of the galaxy, meeting various species and governments. However, a sickness began to spread swiftly amongst them. The Kemetians were isolated on their homeworld for so long that meeting new civilizations too quickly brought forth many unknown disease and illnesses they never experienced. Believing that the sickness was a sign from the Netjer, the Pharaoh at that time declared that intergalactic travel would be banned as to keep the illness from getting worse. All Kemetian colonies were abandoned, and all ships capable of hyperspace travel were dismantled.
Modern Day
The Kemetians live in peaceful isolation on their homeworld. Crime is low, and most people live their lives accordingly. They pray, eat, work, pray again, and sleep. They know very little of the galaxy, but occasionally get big news from Chiss merchant ships that arrive.
While relatively advanced in their fields of study, the ancient technology and history is still relatively unknown to modern Kemetians. Their method of hyperspace travel is long forgotten, and they are still wonder how exactly their temples, pyramids, and other world wonders were created.

Intent
I stumbled upon some Egyptian art and I thought it would be interesting to introduce something similar to Star Wars. This species and their homeworld may be a cool part of the Decs-Pathfinder event as well. I also plan on adding some cool site lore locations and artifacts based around the Kemetians for others to discover.
