STRENGTHS AND WEAKNESSES: Poknor’s main strengths are his agility and his skill with a blaster. His piloting ability is another strength. But he doesn’t have a lot of physical power in him, having the average strength for a human male. He is uneducated, and also isn’t very good at holding a pleasant conversation (let alone making friends).
GEAR: A long-range slug-thrower with a scope and very powerful shots, but a fairly low rate of fire, kept slung over his back. Also two small blaster pistols with high rates of fire but low-power shots, hidden in his boots.
SHIP: Pok’s current ship is a teardrop-shaped craft, the wider end being the stern and the area with the main cargo hold. The middle-area of the ship is devoted to its engines and the batteries for the ship’s twin laser cannons (one on each side). The narrow ‘top of the teardrop’ is the front of the craft and home to the cockpit. Underneath the pilot’s seat is a hidden cargo area for smuggling. Because it is an old craft that has been re-built several times, and also as a reference to his species’ feline nature, Poknor has named this ship ‘Nine Lives’.

PERSONALITY: Poknor is generally a rude person. Fond of sarcasm and jeering insults, his sharp tongue is often getting him into fights. He isn’t especially patient, and when things aren’t going his way he can be temperamental and irrational. Despite being a criminal, he also has a certain sense of justice. He makes a point of not harming innocent people, and is quick to jump into a fight that isn’t really any of his business when he sees someone else with the odds set against them. When he finds himself with more money then he needs, he often donates it to charities, quietly and anonymously. This isn't due to any self-righteousness - he simply doesn’t care very much about making lots of money. He wants to have enough credits to survive, but his main goal in life is just seeking thrill and adventure.
If one earns his respect, or is able to stand his attitude long enough to become his friend, they see a different side of the Cathar. With such people he is usually rather quiet (which most find to be a refreshing change), as he doesn’t really know what to say when just being an annoying prick isn’t really an option. He is a loyal friend, and this spreads over into his business - he doesn’t betray his employers, even if he does mouth off to them from time to time. He has always been very honest; even when he knows the truth will hurt someone’s feelings or cause conflict, he comes out with it.
HISTORY: Poknor was born in one of the poorest areas of Coruscant. He grew up on the street, never knowing his parents as they abandoned him when he was very young. He survived by stealing, and eventually killing, for food and money. By the age of 10 he had his own blaster pistol and practiced regularly. He kept himself in good physical shape, though he was a bit underfed and thus ended up with a smaller build then most Cathar have.
In his adulthood, he earned some money by placing first in a shooting contest (he was one of the youngest participants) and used those credits along with his life savings to get himself a starship. It had always been his dream to buy one of those, and get himself out of the ghetto and on to a better life. But the only starship he was able to afford was of poor quality, requiring repairs before it would be able to do so much as get off the ground. Besides, he didn’t know how to fly yet.
Fortunately, an elderly human who had participated in the shooting contest that got Poknor his ship was trying to get off the planet as well - and he was a pilot. He offered to teach Poknor the basics of flying, by driving his ship for a short time with Pok as co-pilot. Through this man’s teachings the young Cathar became an amateur pilot. Having a natural talent for it, he quickly got better with practice.
After aimlessly exploring the surrounding planets for a while, doing odd jobs here and there to keep himself going, Pok decided he needed a direction in life. First he became a smuggler, and after a few years of experience in that he started hiring himself out as a mercenary.
One fateful day in Coruscant, the Cather met a man who worked for the infamous crimelord Govon Sontrebren. There was work available in the Sontrebren Crew, and Poknor eagerly became involved. He has since then risen to the rank of Capo.
