Mandalorians: This is the big one. Per Vencu’s suggestion, and based on an idea some admins floated about a year ago, the Mandalorians will no longer be a main faction. This is not just something Corden decided, but something the think tank unanimously agreed on. Instead, the current Mandalore, Corden Vencu, will die, the faction will fracture and each clan that wants to will become an independent faction. However, MandalMotors will remain and will use its influence to ensure that the Mandalorian territory remains Mandalorian.

Given that there have always been disagreements about what the Mandalorians should be, this lets each clan run things their own way as their own independent faction. Additionally, it was becoming clear that in an era that will be increasingly dependent on espionage, intelligence gathering, and guerilla warfare rather than battles, a purely military and warrior faction would be a lot less relevant as a main faction. None of this, though, precludes the Mandalorians from coming together again in the future. We will have more information on this moving forward, since Lavish, Vencu, and the rest of the admin team can help the clans get set up as indie factions.



As you can see chaps, the Admins have decided upon a course of action post time-skip. If you have thoughts to share, slap them down here. If you've got complaints or things you want to bring up, check out the Think Tank update thread. Feedback is essential. But try to keep it positive guys. Raging and throwing the toys out of the pram at the Admins isn't going to help anyone.


In my own thoughts though, I like this change. It'll give us all the freedom we want to explore every aspect of the Mandalorian's culture beyond galactic conquest. As for what we'll be doing after this comes into effect, several of us will be forming indie groups based along clan lines in the future. You'll all be kept in the loop as these develop.

Clan leaders are already talking for some joint storytelling, but Ordo will stay the same, highly militant, highly industrialized, commanding multiple planets as Protectorates, along with some other stuff I have planned. With the exception of the industrialization, they're going to be based heavily off of Sparta.

Marren's main focus will be returning to the Pre-Civil War Glory (From this timeline) they had, where they were respected and trusted by the Clans.

Also: So, earlier Corden's Dreadnaught idea was great. And the division of the Clans makes it even better. Every clan wants to Claim it as their own, so we have to fight over it. :3

I think a lot of Mandos are going to go solo until the clan situation stabilizes.

Lyon Skirata, as the Alor of Aliit Skirata, will maintain his clan after the time skip. Skirata will become independent of Bralor as opposed to a minor clan under it, and will be holed up in the Kyrimorut region of Mandalore. They will stick to the Resol'nare and the Mandalorian way of life, and will come to embody that of honorable warriors, rather than just pirates who raid people for the hell of it. With the skill of our Commandos almost rivaling Vencu's Supercommandos, Skirata will dabble in mercenary work, using their skills as Commandos and their expertise in Armored Cavalry to their advantage. Another focus I'd like to expand upon is the Skirata Combat Medics, which will be quite useful both in combat and in the wilds of Mandalore. Lyon will also get Skirata into the trade markets on Mandalore, teaching his armorsmithing skills to others in the clan. Also, I plan on having Clan Skirata be pro-Jedi, but will be discreet in acknowledging their stance, so not as to arouse the Sith.

I expect there to be raiding against the Cin Tracyn base upon Concord Dawn. The Tracyns will pay in both food and credits to those who assist in defending the farms.
