It was a pleasant day in Yavin IV, with a mild temperature. The Padawans had the day free, this way most of them were outside in the gardens. They were talking and playing with each other. Meanwhile, Elidan was walking through the Temple courtyard, going toward the corner of the gardens where he knew that he would be able to stay without no one being able to disturb him. It was close to the entrance of the forest and the Temple outerwall was a bit damaged there. With Padawans still being forbidden to go to the forest alone, people were also avoiding this area. So it was the only place where he could go to have some silence.
Today Elidan had woken up with some nostalgia. He had spent most of the day reminiscing about his life at the Jedi Temple of Ajan Kloss. He missed so much having free days in the gardens and visiting the library. Someone could say that the Temple on Yavin had basically the same places, but for him everything was different.
For the half-Sephi, Yavin could have the same places that Ajan Kloss had, but they lacked the memories and the feeling of home. Even after five years, Elidan still couldn’t feel totally at home there. He missed his old room, his holobooks and most important his dead friends. All lost because of the Sith.
He needed to stop thinking about that, it would only hurt him. Maybe he should visit Healer Asadra Seh, she had said that when these thoughts started to make him sad, Elidan could always talk with her about them. But he didn’t want to disturb her. The Healers are always so busy, he couldn’t make her lose a precious time that could be used to heal someone only because he wanted to talk about how he missed his old home. That was selfishness.
After arriving where he wanted, the Padawan looked around. There was no one there, so he could read without hearing the whispers or comments of the other Padawans. Sometimes his Sephi hearing was very annoying. He sat below a tree and opened one of the books that he had saved on his Datapad. A good read always helped him to forget about his sad memories.
