With the rise of the second Hutt war, Knight Tak'n took her padawan with her to Coruscant. Rehni was familiar with the temple on Coruscant before its destruction by the Bogan years before but now she was finding it hard to navigate due to its reconstruction. However, it never ceased to amaze her how marvelous it had become.

Monkey had progressed in his senses, she was past satisfied how he had grown within the Force. Until now, she had only worked on the more basics of blade fighting, she did not feel he was ready for the longest time; but for the past few weeks, it looked like Monkey and to Rehni, felt like, he was ready to pick up a blade. She had sent him to the library to study and to meditate for a few days; his assignment: to pick a blade form.

She found him early that morning and instructed him to meet her in the gardens. In the controlled environment, she heard a rumble of thunder, a drop of rain fell, then another, and another. The Knight waited.

Ryuku was late again. He knew he was late again. And unfortunately, as he avoided one blow to the head by ducking down quickly, he knew he was going to be far later than anything. What had turned out to be a philosophical discussion about politics and which side had the better standing on that ground as well as militaristic and morality, had quickly escalated into one helluva fist fight between the Padawan Monkey and that of three others. Ryuku lashed his foot out in a swift sweep, taking the leg out from one person and dropping him to the floor. He barely had time to register the fact that a second had jumped into the air aiming to tackle him. With a quick move of the force push, he launched himself off of the ground just enough for him to roll over the air born man’s back and onto the floor in a crouch.

There Ryuku eyed the three padawans there in the library before he heard shouts of profanity and other things as well. There several Knights were rushing at them and he just sighed. Unfortunately for the two that were still up, they didn’t clue into the fact. Whether it was general stupidity or just adrenaline in their veins, Monkey would not know as one of them rush at him, throwing fist after fist. They weren’t quite wild but they weren’t trained either. And Monkey just backed up and danced around them until his back met the wall. One final strike was sent, and Monkey force pushed himself out of the way, and onto the top of a desk two feet away. Of course though the mans’ fist shattered upon the contact of the wall before the knights restrained him. Of course Monkey held up his hands in surrender.

“Hey there… before you get the wrong Idea, I was totally my fault.” He explained simply and with a shrug of his shoulders. He had humbled them, there was no reason to embarrass them any more with any sort of further problem from an investigation. He wasn’t going to rat on them saying that it was they who started it. It was the way he was. Of course though, eyewitnesses and video evidence would disagree with the statement. And thus he jumped down from the desk, and looked to the knights before he was escorted towards his knight master in the gardens. When they arrived, he just gave her a big grin, despite his bruised jaw and a black eye that was beginning to form from the initial beginnings to the scrap.

“Heya Master… Been waiting long?” He asked.

The knight felt it in the Force and she let out a sigh, no matter what, Rehni knew Ryuku was going to be late. She didn't even need the Force to let her know that, she even begun counting how many times he has been on time for his training.

When her padawan approached her she looked him over and pursed her lips, "Notting think reading could take so muching out ofing one person." she spoke, "What did you decides?" she asked him moving onward, not giving another thought to his bruises.

Ryuku just chuckled, scratching the back of his head all embarrassed about the whole ordeal really. “Twasn’t the Reading that took me out, Master… Twas the binding in the book itself.” He commented before he shook his head and then he just rubbed his jaw lightly. He remembered something that one of his first teachers in basic hand to hand combat said. The Best way to handle a punch. Don’t be there. Thinking back to what he had read there was style that specialized in quick manuvers, high flying dodges and seat of the pants sword work. Ataru.

“Ataru Master. The one where I must always be moving…. Less chance of me colliding with something solid.” He stated simply as he rubbed his head lightly. Truth be told he had learned much with her. And if it was one thing that he had learned from his master is that she was dedicated and ensured that you learned the lesson before moving on, no matter how many bumps and bruises you get. “Did I decide well?”

A slight grin formed on her face. "Deciding very well." she told him and unequipped a lightsaber from her belt handing it to Ryuku. It was a training saber used by the younglings. She meant no offense to be giving him one that was so weak, but until he learned control of the blade, it was best to avoid any possible limb losses. "Feelings I hading you would deciding Ataru." she unequipped her own blade, "Always moving, like the Force, willing not to colliding unless something ising thrown at you." she told him speaking from previous experience, "Good for multiple opponents, good for taking out ofing an enemy quickly."

"Questions?"

Ryuku just scratched the back of his head and gave an embarrassed chuckle. It was true. He wasn’t one to accept compliments with out their being some sort of catch to them. “Nah. Your just saying that Master.” Ryuku replied, before he caught the light sabre with his one hand. “You know master, after our talk about the Force when we first started out… I guess I made some uninformed observations about it to you…… You asked me what the force was to me. And I answered with some sort of stupid cliché one line saying. But, reflecting on that…. I think of it as water. It’s always moving. It doesn’t fight. It flows around obstacles. And nothing it softer than it either… And with that softness It can over come anything…. Listen to me.. Rambling on. Sheesh. I swear, Cookie must be rubbing off on me. Him and his philosophising.” He commented before he nodded his head as Ryuku listened about the way of Ataru.

“Yeah… I don’t have to do any really ackward stretches do I?” That was indeed a dumb question. Ryuku already knew that he would have to. However he had yet to resign himself to the fate of it yet.

"Alchaka? No, notting something I'm patienting enought fors." she explained to Ryuku, she turned around and lead him to a clearing in the garden for them to practice. "Asing your explanations, exactlys. The living force it ising, always moving, like water. Always shalling moving with it padawan, like when you ising in the midst of battle. Notting being a stone padawan, or risk being overcome by enemies." explained the Knight then ignited her blade.

"There ising notting anything specific move-wise when it coming to Ataru. It ising a thought, theory; Ataru: being quick, exterminate the threating immediately. Moves are quick, precise, strong. Relies on the continous listening ofing the Force."

Ryuku nodded his head as he walked forwards, his peering down towards the practice lightsaber. It was slightly off balance, but still usable. Something to fix later. For the time being though his thoughts were focused upon that of his Master, who explained the ways of the Ataru, and he nodded his head. “Right. Penetrate, Annihilate and move on to the next. I can remember that.” Ryuku stated as he watched the glowing blade of his masters. It was ouch time. He knew it, She knew it, even the force knew it. And somewhere in the back of his mind, he could hear it laughing at him.

Well it better have a kick out of this. Ryuku to ignited the blade, before he spread his legs, bent the knees and put the blade up over his head. A over the head guard, it was high, but from that angle he was able to deflect and attack from upon high. A good opening move considering his opponent. “Well. Class is now Pain One-oh-One. The Instructor is my master. Student is being me. Class is in session. Let’s dance the jitter bug.” Ryuku stated. He wasn’t anxious to get his ass kicked, but he was anxious to learn and to improve.

A warm breeze passed through the garden signaling another controlled rain storm was coming. Rehni held her blade in front of her in a defensive position, "Tryings to disarming me; vulnerable areas: legs, arms, head." she explained with a quick nod signaling for him to attack when he was ready. The garden's atmosphere begun raining on the Knight and padawan.

Ryuku had smelled the change in the atmosphere. The Rain. It was calming. It was reassuring. It was a reminder. The Rain. He closed his eyes, and felt the first drops upon his face. The coolness was a constant echo in the mental balance that he achieved. Of course Ryuku had heard the information that the Master had provided. He assimilated it. Like a piece of machinery he had designed in his little work shop. He broke it down in his mind and began to plan. Far to much time for a enemy, that would have cut him down by now. But he knew his master wouldn’t do anything to hurtful to him, and thus he would have the time to learn, or he would have to learn quickly.

Ryuku’s eyes snapped open, and he moved forwards at full sprint while bending low at the waist line. The light saber that was overhead was now at his side. When he was within striking distance, his sword arm was swung out low towards the legs of his master. Of course he had timed it to the point where he wouldn’t inflict any deadly or long term damage, he was going for something superficial and could be patched up with a rag and some rum that he had stashed away somewhere for a special occasion. Yes he was a JedI Apprentice. He wasn’t a saint.

Rehni could feel a calm from her apprentice, and a quiet of the Force. She could tell the wheels of his very mechanical mind were assessing the situation and how he would play it out.

She watched him come at her, head-on, blade swinging towards her legs. She meet his blade before he made contact with her. She held her blade against his and with her non-dominant hand threw a Force push at him to move him back.

"Goods," she replied, "However, you must thinking faster, relying more ons the Force to guiding your actions; letting it shows you every scenario befores you strike." explained the Knight.

He could feel the shifting in the force. There it was. And then he saw the movement. Ryuku shifted his body, his weight moving to the side and thus his dominate sword arm was struck with a grazing blow from the force attack. Something that hurt, but something that he had deemed necessary. And thus using the momentum, he top danced into a low sweeping blow, the light sabre going low once again while his mind analyzed and took into account what he needed. And then his mind registered the words of his master.

And thus as needed he raised an eyebrow towards her. He wasn’t sure if he could ever trust it like that. However, there he was relying upon it far more than what he usually did. A step with in the right direction that was for sure. He didn’t even bother chancing a look at his arm that seemed to have that numb tingly feeling to it. He knew it wasn’t broken, and he knew he could still use it. The question was, would it respond in the way that he wanted. Well time would tell.

"Staying predictable willing get you killed." explained Rehni, "You ising not the programmer of the Force, the Force ising your programmer, letting it direct your actions" the Knight moved back to her defensive position, the training blade ready, "Come padawan, again." she gave a nod to his arm, "Using the Force to overcome your weakness."

Ryuku looked down towards his arm and then to that of his master. And he listened to the words of wisdom. The Force. Shaking his arm free of that pins and needles feeling, he got back into the fighting position and he nodded his head. And thus he closed his eyes once again, took a deep breathe, centered himself. And then when his eyes opened he charged once more. For once he allowed his senses to extend beyond what they should have been. Like they drifted over, and though being so open minded could quite possibly leave him to be manipulated by the masters of the mind, he was sure that his master would take it easy on him. He could learn defences for that later.

Ryuku’s blade arm switched handling so that way the blade nearly rested against his fore arm, and then he lashed out, though this was more so against the blade, not at his masters person. No. He was testing this new technique that she was teaching him. He wanted to feel the attack, the block, the counter attack. And thus most of his attention was focused upon that, attempting to identify it so that way he could better prepare himself for the next round.

Rehni could feel the energy flowing through her padawan, a small grin appeared and she readied her blade. He had it... her padawan understood her words. Unpredictable was what she wanted him to be in the fight, not to think, but to feel.

Her blade swung out to meet his, she pushed off then attacked with a horizontal slash across his chest.

Ryuku’s mind just reacted as it felt the threat coming from a different direction. And thus when the blade was sent at him in a horizontal strike, his blade arm swung around meeting his masters blade head on. However he didn’t stop there. No, he used his masters momentum with the blade to swing it over his head, and then, when his blade was on top he shoved his arm forwards, His own blade riding up edge of that of his masters blade, before it moved towards her arm and chest for one quick sweep.

Rehni didn't stop her padawan, he was doing what she wanted him to do and he was doing it good. Their blades met and he kept the momentum going. Rehni twisted, feeling his blade come down along her body; She jumped up and landed behind Ryuku in a crouch swinging her arm in a swipe across his legs.

Ryuku had to admit, that he hadn’t seen his master’s counter attack coming, despite the force being there to aid him now. When she twisted out of the way, he lost sight of her. And his confusion lead to him attention shifting from the force to wonder of his own mind. And that proved to be Ryuku’s down fall. The Arm swipe across his legs effectively took him by the surprise. And he ended up on the flat of his back gazing up at the raining sky. Breathing heavily, his mind racing with the moments of what he had just experienced. And then he ended up laughing. As in a full bellow laugh. Despite now being soaked to the bone, probably catching a chill, he still had fun. He still learned, and he felt that he had earned his keep.

“Master…. Helluva rush that is. Helluva rush.” Ryuku commented between laughter and breathing. And then slowly he rose up from his position and he looked towards his master and he raised an eyebrow to her. Of course it was now still training, he knew not to let his guard down completely, despite her being his master. And thus he kept himself at a semi ready stage, ready to begin again should his master decree.

((Just for the record, Rehni has her blade adjusted so it won't take off your legs...just for the record....))

Rehni watched her padawan, standing up slowly, she could feel he wasn't too badly injured, even a blade at low power will leave a nasty welt. She then knew he wasn't too injured at all with his loud laugh. Both of them were soaked, and she was glad he was enjoying his blade training, what she wanted to see in her padawan, as well hopefully in padawans to come. She only smirked to his comment, and he begun to rise, she returned a raised eyebrow to him at sent a force push to his legs to knock him back down to the ground.

"Ok padawan, ins battle, howing willing you getting up?" she asked her blade pointed close to his neck as she stood over him.

(( My apologies, I wasn't sure if it was the blade arm or not. So I went with the latter. I'm sorry if it caused any trouble.))

Ryuku Felt the pressure keeping him from rising and he just let out a good natured groan. “What a drag… Your really making me work for standing up again…” He commented as his mind flashed through possibilities. And then his mind locked onto one, and he just chuckled as he tapped into the flow of power that was the Force once again and let out a force push of his own. Of course though it wasn’t against the master. Oh no. It wasn’t at all. He did it against himself. And he sent himself skidding over the wet ground. During the movement, his dug his feet into the ground, adding friction to slow his movement. By the time he stopped was at a full standing position, and at the ready.

“Twa’la, Master. Ask and thall shall receive I think they wrote in the good book.” He commented as he got into a ready stance once again, that grin never leaving his face. He was having fun and learning to boot. Present him with problems and he liked to find solutions.
