For weeks now, Vahliri had wholeheartedly thrown herself back into Imperial duties. She was in a far better place than she’d been in the aftermath of the Eriadu party, and it meant that the half-Annfyn’s sights were firmly fixed back onto her own goals and ambitions. She grinded and occupied most of her time with Imperial missions and visits to the warfront, objectives that often took her to the farthest reaches of the Empire. Today had proven to be no different - and she watched from the cockpit as the dreary, industrialized surface of NuII drew near.

Despite being a largely insignificant border world, Null had inevitably drawn Imperial scrutiny for the pirates that operated off of its surface. The group had proven enough of a nuisance to warrant direct intervention, and their orders were simply; eliminate the threat through any means necessary. Of course, Vahliri couldn’t help but note both the efficiency and potential of the group - and her mind had already begun to travel beyond wiping them off the face of Null. If they could be turned to her own benefit while accomplishing the same goal, it was all the better.

The Atropus began its slow descent to the surface - landing in one of the crowded spaceports on the planetary surface. The Epsilon-class shuttle was far less lavish than the yacht that Vahliri and Kadriye often traveled in, but it was far more suited to the business they were engaging in today. The half-Annfyn had ensured her apprentice was outfitted with standard issue equipment as an Acolyte, complete with a cowl to cover their features.

Vahliri herself was adorned in her signature red-and-black robes, alongside a hood that covered the upper hemisphere of her face. A twin pair of lightsabers hung from her belt, while her back hair was tied back into a bun nestled within the hood that draped her head.

As the shuttle came to a land, Vahliri rose up from the pilot’s seat - glancing at her chrono before her gaze turned to Kadriye. “Shall we?” She said towards the Orcolan, turning on a heel to begin making for the exit. “According to intelligence, the compound is only a few blocks outside the city center.”

Kadriye stood up a few seconds after Vahliri, completely blanketed by the massive cloak that was required to cover up her towering figure. It hung down to about her mid-calf, still not quite long enough, but the Orcolan found it very difficult to care. She wasn't exactly sure why they were wearing cloaks in the first place but supposed it had something to do with being conspicuous. How conspicuous could a tiny woman and her towering companion be anyway?

When they exited the shuttle, it became very clear that Kadriye would not be the standout one in the duo. Though the Nulls of Null varied greatly and height, even after five minutes of looking around, Kad could not find a single one shorter than she.

"And I thought you were short," Kad commented absentmindedly, completely thrown off guard at being shorter than everyone around her for the first time in her life. "Do you think the pirates are also this tall?"

Maybe she would get the chance to arm wrestle one.

As she stepped off the shuttle and began walking through the streets of Null, Vahliri couldn’t help but heavily squint at her surroundings. Despite her briefings on the planet, somehow the physiology of the natives had escaped her knowledge - and it took a concerted effort not to aggressively roll her eyes at the people who were, quite frankly, too fucking tall for no reason. The half-Annfyn was used to - and had no real issue with - being the smallest person in a room.. But this was ridiculous.

“I’m hoping not,” Vahliri said with a huff, glancing over to the Orcolan. If every one of the pirates was that tall and physically imposing, things were going to be that much more difficult. All the same, Kadriye would likely get her opportunity to arm wrestle one of them.

As they began to weave their way through the crowds, Vahliri spoke back towards Kadriye - her voice low enough that only the Acolyte would hear. Null was a busy planet filled with all sorts of criminal elements, and it didn’t take long for the pair to begin approaching the cantina where most of the pirate crew seemed to frequent. “With any luck, this won’t become a bloodbath. The pirates are far more useful to us than they are a nuisance, and I have reason to believe we may be able to sway them to our side. If they believe its more profitable to do so.”

“We’ll need to get their attention, though.”
