Kalen's Master had always enjoyed sending him and her other fellow students and seemingly wild goose chases across the Galaxy. Sometimes they were given a lot of information about what they were being sent to find, other times they had been given next to nothing. This time was one of the latter choices. He had been given a description of the artifact. It was an ancient Holocron containing the history of the Jedi Order and perhaps some secrets lost to the Jedi over the generations.

He had been pointed in the direction of a shady information broker that dealt in hard to find artifacts. His Master had told him that this broker had information that would lead his path. If he been given credits and a large sum at that, this would have been an easy assignment but he had been given nothing. He carried nothing but those clothes on his back, a simple blaster pistol, and his concealed lightsaber.

The last thing his Master had given him was a warning, that he wouldn't be the only one looking for this item. This didn't surprise him too much, it wouldn't have been the first time she had sent people after him on missions to test him, though this time, she seemed more serious.

Without many other options that to get on with it, he made his way to the slums where the dealer was located. Kalen stood across the street, leaning against a wall as he thought over how he would approach his first task. Walking in with no credits seemed like a good way to get shot.

Jak came out of Hyper-space, upon opening his eyes he saw, something strange. A planet he hadn't seen before. The Hue was dull and gray. He seems to have an uncertain feeling about this place, he wondered why the Ship ever brought him here, to begin with. Trandosha felt like a better planet or even Nal Hutta to settle around, he looked around in the ship's cockpit, there were 2 dead bodies that stood opposite to each other. He moved the Bith, the person who he thought was his friend's corpse, and off the controls. He then turned on the light to reveal an auto-pilot button, he pressed it and seated himself on his chair.

He had hoped that it would've been worth the wait, he had no clue or any background info on this planet. He wasn't going to wait in the depths of space with decaying, bloody corpses that stained and stenched the whole ship. As bad as the Dioxis gas that was released prior to his visit here. Lotta kriff happened, however, he managed to survive by just staying in the cockpit. As the ship careened into the planet's atmosphere he waited.

He inhaled and exhaled, by the time Jak knew it he was beginning to land on the planet's surface. The Turbulence was rough and he hadn't eaten in a while. One thing he knew he had to do for the sake of survival, he had to hunt. He wondered though, what horrors and wonders await on this.. civilized-looking planet?

As he boarded the coronet's spaceport he waited for the ramp to be released as he stepped forth, upon leaving the ship without bothering to close it he looked towards customs, wondering if it would've landed him in bigger trouble than he had already been in. He looked towards the other ships that arrived, slightly curious. He watched as how others got through customs seamlessly, the department officials checking through pieces of baggage and cargo along with some commotion in between the order that followed the long line of varying species that adhered to the protocols of the spaceport.

The former cop hadn't been on his home world since he fled the planet on the run from CorSec. Yet, here Sal found himself again. When in doubt, when he needed a quick score, Corellia was still his best bet where he could locate a contact, get a quick score, do a dirty deed, and get out with some credits in his pocket. Information brokers dealt in more than just artifacts. They got their shady wares from shady people who did shady things. They often had to deal their artifacts to another set of shady sort.

Shady dealers were in the know. And if there were odd jobs to be found, dirty jobs, shady jobs, dealers were a great place to start. He was still trying to earn his reputation with the 5S, so the company jobs weren't paying all the bills. The odd job here and there off the Syndicate books was going to be necessary until he rose up the corporate ladder so to speak.

Even though he knew Corellia well, hee would be dealing with a broker he had never met. His contact wouldn't set this up for him, however. Nobody on Corellia wanted anything to do with Russo at the moment. Not even the offhand connection of being a go-between was a risk the Corellian underground wanted to take in the here and now. Sal would have to develop this contact on his own. Sal, unaware that others were also scoping out the joint, was still showing an abundance of caution. He couldn't afford to get busted in Corellia of all places. Thankfully, he had an undercover background to rely on, and blending in was a strength. He'd make sure all was right, and more importantly, CorSec or the Rangers weren't scoping the dealer before he made contact.

The Trandoshan had been waiting for a while within the line of people in front of him. He groaned in frustration, licking his chops he finally had the guts to leave the line to pursue a different custom booth. He had hoped there would be at least a few people waiting to be checked in and out of their cargo but little did he know, there was one person. He seemed...taller and much more larger than Jak was. Was he older or younger? He wasn't so sure, he hasn't seen his kind before. Humans were fabled to be..much more versatile than even his species who prided themselves as warriors, mercenaries, scavengers, and Wookie skinners.

Maybe he knows the place, better than even the locals around here. He inches himself, closer to the man, Jak's posture wasn't that reserved or open since he had his hands to his side and his frame was slightly hunched over..

"Sssso, what bringsss you here?"
