DESCRIPTION
The Q2 hold-out blaster pistol has a mixed reception for reasons that may not be obvious. Merr-Sonn Munitions manufactured the weapon as a personal defense weapon. The blaster is taller than it is long and can be easily concealed. The blaster has been used by the Handmaidens of Naboo as well as some bounty hunters. Today the blaster goes for roughly twice it's old cost since they are rare to see outside of collectors, political bodyguards, or hired guns. Sometimes the Q2 is confused with the later produced and more popular ELG-3A which could even have shortened barrels to look more like a Q2.

Some similarity to the green blaster bolts of the S-5 made by Theed Arms is obvious. The stopping power of the hold-out blaster matches the larger weapon. However that is where the similarities end. The Q2 is designed to work with only a specific power pack manufactured by Merr-Sonn Munitions. This simultaneously carries the tibanna gas to have a convenient all-in-one ammunition container. However the carrying capacity of the weapon is limited to only six bolts. Furthermore the cartridges, once used, can only be refilled by patented and coveted Merr-Sonn facilities. The blaster itself costs a bit more than it used to but is still a relatively cheap buy. The reason for that is likely the compounding cost of unusable spent cartridges that get to be refilled or recycled by Merr-Sonn.

LEGALITY
Illegal. Ownership of such a concealable heavy blaster is heavily restricted on most worlds, and the Q2 falls into this category. Special licenses may be obtained, but this is exceedingly rare.

INTENT
To create something from canon that is also a high quality but concealable blaster pistol that has some legal debate behind.

RESTRICTIONS
Due to the nature of the weapon's design, the Q-2 cannot be be modified in anyway.
