I think you're correct.
For once. :CHappy:
Yaaaaaay!..... Hey wait a minute, :CIsee:
I think you're correct.
For once. :CHappy:
My Miraluka half-breed had optic implants, so he sort of grew up without having to rely much on his force sight. But that will be something that develops later on. So I gave him a bit of an excuse.
Also, I'm thinking of making a Dinosaur man. Like that one Dark Jedi who had a purple tyrannosaurus head.
What if the SWRP had a sports league that played a couple seasons or so?
Season Opener Turns Tragic

SmashBall, the beloved sport of the galaxy kicked off it's 300th season today with The Corellian Pirates taking on the Gubba Hawks of Ithor, the Ithorian teams GSBL Franchise debut. Amid the excitement of a new season the game quickly went sour shortly after the home team introductions. Early reports suggest that up to 20,000 spectators were hospitalized with damage to their ears, and respiratory problems.
Ithorians are well known for their powerful vocal skills, so when their team was introduced fans cheered them on with all the gusto an Ithorian can. The result to fans of more " sensitive audio reception" including the entire Corellian team were driven to evacuate the stadium complaining of ruptured eardrums, headache, and in some cases heart attacks, and strokes.
The League has dismissed claims that it would punish the Ithorian team with fines for the actions of their fans. Other groups however have stated that it would take action against the team for failing to consider other species. In a counter statement a alien advocacy group calling itself the Network for Alien Advancement and Cultural Protection has stated that any actions taken against the team, or its fans would be a sad step back from making other species feel welcomed in a human dominated galaxy.
This is not the first time the team has come under fire. Three years ago when the expansion team was first announced, many Ithorian environmental groups protested the construction of the arena stating it would not only destroy the natural grasslands it was sighted to be built at, but also bring in traffic beyond what the space ports could handle and have future environmental impacts.

the way I see it, one person could easily play per team, thus needing only a few people to get a league...
Game wise though, I suppose we would need to think of a sport, or make one up. Smashball is a big SW game, but I admit to knowing nothing about it except it " sounds" similar to American football with a smattering of rugby
hmm.. good call. Make the rules etc, and once that is done perhaps make a team, and create 5 NPC players ( having 11 on the pitch or something would be insane trying to keep who is who straight.
Perhaps have something like: ( using American football as a reference)
Adena: Vol pitches the ball left to Kraag who jukes to his left before aiming for a gap in the defense.
Cailist: Wadrun comes from the back field to close the gap, and direct traffic.
Ref: Kraag makes a 3 yard run before the hole closes, and Wadrun is able to stop the run.
I mean it's not by any means ideal, but something to consider, letting a " ref" more or less make out the events based on the " strategies" set out by the players. Like plugging data in, and running a Sim.
would be really interesting to work out. Two options I see are like this:
1: Make it a true competition, players and those reading really have no clue how it will turn out. This could be fun I think, feeding into competition.
2: follow the wrestling (ish) format and have it " sorta" scripted in a story format.
I personally sorta like the first...make it an up in the air sorta thing.
We could have a 5 on 5 game. 1 QB, 1 RB, 1 WR, 1 Blocker, and 1 utility. Utility playing RB OR WR depending on the play.
I'd also go with the true compitition idea with a ref.
aye, I think thats something we can get into a real think tank over if we can get enough individuals interested.
We'd just have to be able to keep 11 people active for the length of a game. I'm not sure how we'd ensure their activity. Perhaps smaller teams like 2 or 3 could work.
I'm thinking we could lump it to the side like a tourny in a way, perhaps pick a specific day to host games... nice ting is it " could" sorta bleed into the story RP as a event that players could be watching on a vid, or play off interactions at a game... though naturally the ( teams) players would all be unique and tied to the sport, and not one of the pc characters.
I am talking 1 person RPs 1 team, leaving 3 people with a ref. A safe amount of people.
