BIOGRAPHY
Randangus Cobble was an environmental scientist, botanist, and geoscientist that was born on the planet of Onderon during the time known as The Force Eternal. As a young man, Randangus studied at the University of New Alderaan before later receiving a master's degree and doctorate from the University of Coruscant.
Randangus was renowned in the scientific community for his passion and natural talent when it came to his work, as well as for his numerous eccentricities and odd behavior. Although beloved by colleagues and peers for his devotion to the environmental cause, the scientist was taciturn and reclusive, never allowing anyone to come between him and his work. In his later years, Randangus become unusually paranoid and unforthcoming when it came to his pet projects.
Assiduous, he worked for a number of environmental organizations over the years and routinely agreed to work on side projects for manufacturing companies and even planetary governments, such as the Royal Court of Onderon. Randangus owned the small town house he had grown up in on Onderon as well as a large estate in Epica City, Epica. Randangus was a connoisseur of the arts and owned a small but impressive collection of paintings, sculptures, and luxury furniture.
The last years of Randangus Cobble's life were spent in the jungles of Onderon, searching for the planet's mythical Queen's Sprig (write-up to come), which he claimed to have rediscovered and studied, leading to a "monumental breakthrough." This claim was declared preposterous by the King of Onderon, and this, coupled with Randangus' advancing age, well-documented eccentricities, and increasing paranoia, led to the scientist being labeled by the general public as a senile old man who had gone mad.
Five years ago, one of Randangus Cobble's experiments went awry, and he died in the resulting explosion. He was discovered shortly thereafter by his house keeper, alone in the lab on his estate in Epica City. No formal investigation was performed, and the scientist's death was ruled an accident.
Until recently, his estate and research has been in probate ever since his death.
