DESCRIPTION​

With the Sith Eternal's armies full of bloodthirsty rabid dogs not fit for real combat tactics, a limited manpower pool and growing list of enemies, the new Sith Order under Empress Andruil required a quick and effect military boost. A number of droid designers across the Outer Rim received commissions to design a combat droid which could be produced quickly but offer a more reliable platform than droid armies of the past.

Spencer-Tech Automation won the following design battle and the RDR-008 became the new line of battle droids for the Sith Order. The RDR-008 are bipedal droids, with a light to medium thickness of armour across the chest, legs and arms although the joints were unprotected to allow better movement within the mechanical joints. The droids onboard computer systems although them to operate independently with no need for a central uplink, the audio receptor allowing them to receive direct commands.

Although they have no integrated weapons systems, RDR-008's dual manipulator arm's allow them to be proficient with most hand weapons. These include blaster rifles, rocket launchers, sniper rifles and mortars. Although very competent with ranged weaponry the slightly limited nature of there mechanical joints makes it difficult for them to wield close combat weapons.

Designed and produced to replace most of the rag tag military that the Sith Order inherited from his predecessor the RDR-008 is being produced in large numbers at factories across the Sith held territories.

LEGALITY​

Restricted. Being combat models, RDR-008 Series Battle Droids purposefully designed and built for the Sith Order Military these can only be owned and controlled by those aligned with the Sith Order's Military.

To develop a Battle Droid for the Sith Order and there new Military.
