The new trailer for Rebels Season Three, featuring the first canon appearance of a very popular Legends character!

It's becoming better with every season because it's not a stand-alone series. Ahsoka, Maul, Thrawn and Wedge Antilles (and more Mandalorians) make it seem this vital crossroad for the entire new canon. I'm hyped, for sure.

Agreed. On the one hand I wanted a smaller show just about the formation of the Rebel Alliance, without the Force or Jedi mythology or anything. But the idea of it being this vital part of canon has really grown on me. It's become like TCW where it's just not a "fill in the blanks" show. If you want the full Star Wars story, you need to watch these shows.

After Season 2, one character I am curious about is Agent Kallus. After "The Honorable Ones", I'm wondering if he will remain with the Empire or maybe defect. We haven't seen him in the trailer(Unless I missed him) so I am wondering if Thrawn is going to be the central villain to stopping the Rebels since three Inquisitors have failed.

You missed Kallus. He's most likely Fulcrum. The new Fulcrum had the same inflections and speech patterns as Kallus did. We saw him sorta question the Empire last season. And with Ashoka seemingly missing, and there being a new Fulcrum, that sounds like Kallus? Yeah, he's most likely an insider for the Rebels now.

I had the same thought.

I didn't notice that. I think you're right.

Obvious things like Wedge and Thrawn, I'm just mentioning how awesome that is, since we all know them already.

Noticed that Hondo is back, with the crime boss that I can't remember the details on, but do recall him being in season one. I didn't care much for Hondo in TCW, but since he appeared in Rebels, he's really grown on me.

One of the coolest parts of the Universe that the show focuses on is the inner workings of the Empire. In the show, you get to see all sorts of happenings within the Empire. You see numerous elements of it, with strong leadership, sure we'll see a[n all together] new commander or moff occsaionally, but even if they only are there for 5 minutes, it sets up great for future material covering that character. I don't recognize the female character that introduced Thrawn, but if she is entirely new, it'll be interesting to see if she gets the Rae Sloane treatment, where a one-off appearance turns her into a reoccuring secondary character.

Also, Order of the Dai Bendu at the end? It's always exciting to see what minor details that show reintroduces to canon. I love seeing them bring back concepts and factions, but with a blank slate, so they aren't riddled with lore discrepancies.

Minor things to point out; Battle Droids, new[?] Imperial droids, Sabine's hair, Force ghost at 2:43?, Y-wings.

One final question; who's that at 1:07? Likely not Wedge cause I imagine military haircuts are a must at the Academy.

Those imperial droids looked damn similar to Dark Troopers.

EDIT: Holy crap did anyone else notice the Outrider?

I am just excited to see where they go with the force and ezra's character. I feel like they are building him up for something more than just a tv character.

I'm eager to see where they take Ezra. He has come a long way from being a fairly meh character in S1.

I hope Thrawn is killed off in the show. I would like to see him in additional material. I enjoyed his novels.

My theory is the woman is Sloane.

Well you're in luck. They announced a new Timothy Zahn book; Thrawn. Soooo stoked.

Same. I really just did not care for him in the last two seasons, and I hope this one will make him a bit more interesting. He was the only crew member I just did not care for, other then thinking that Chopper is a sociopath.

Ezra is the Ahsoka of Rebels. Everyone hated him at the start, but he'd been improving from season to season.

Tarkin says her name. It's Governor Pryce. She was mentioned a few times in Season 1. She was away at Coruscant to attend the anniversary of the Empire's founding. Now she's back.

Did anyone else notice they were going into how the force works and talking about the gray side of the force >.>

They tried combining the jedi and sith holocrons, and that big rock, monster thing was talking about the neutral side of the force. At least from what I heard that is what it seemed to me. Hopefully this doesn't open the door to more and more people going the Darth Raven route here. I mean they have always brought up the force being three sides, the light, the dark and neutral even in the clone wars during the time Anakin meeting the ones. So curious to see what they do.

Inb4 they confirm mandalorian armor being able to resist lightsabers as well.
