Luxury Armored Suit

Sometimes, you need to be able to look the part whilst also being safe and able to conduct your business correctly. That's what folks had in mind when this suit was made. Stylish enough to be worn to a black-tie event (with a change of accessories) or the corporate board room, the suits come in a range of colours, to suit your needs.

Intended to protect against assassination attempts, and to keep the wearer safe if negotiation or deal goes south, the armour focuses on protecting the torso and back, keeping the vital organs safe.

LEGALITY

Armored suits are entirely legal within all known systems.

INTENT

Intent is to make an armoured suit for my character.

RESTRICTIONS
Certain armour functions will simply not be possible with this 'armour' due to how the main function of the tech is to function as a suit and armour. Because of that, certain functions (those that require full-body coverage or helmets) cannot be equipped with the suit.

Type and Coverage

Type: Light Armor

Coverage:
  • Torso: Segments of armour hidden within the lining of both the jacket and the waistcoat
  • Back: Segments of armour hidden within the lining of both the jacket and the waistcoat

Functions

Function 1: Scatterweave Lining
  • An incredibly rare and expensive material. Scatterweave is a coating that reflects very little light, making it extremely useful for sneaking at night. It also "scatters" the wearer's heat signature, making it difficult for automated sensor systems or thermal visors to precisely fix the wearer's location without intense scans.
Function 2: Mag-Boots
  • Magnetic boots contain electromagnets in the soles and allow for enhanced movement on ferrous surfaces in microgravity or steep gradients. This functionality must be turned on or off manually by a button or switch.
Function 3: Armorweave - Underlay
  • Most often in the form of a heavy cape, skirt, or underlay beneath armor, armor weave provides some protection against the penetrating effects of shrapnel from explosives and other unpowered high velocity impacts, with only a small amount of bleed through damage (bruising or very minor wounds). It offers no protection against kinetic impact or energy, vibroweapons, or similar "powered" weapons. Having more than one accessory (example: Cape + underweave) provides no additional effect.
