DESCRIPTION​

A stable of Rodian weaponry since ancient times, the modern throwing razor combines the lethality of the original razor design with literally cutting-edge weapons technology. The throwing razor is a multi-bladed weapon designed to be thrown at great range to either maim or kill targets. The weapon's cutting power is increased by a vibration generator while the weapon's speed and range are assisted by a small repulsor engine located in the top of the grip. While a skilled Rodian hunter can throw a razor up to 50 meters unassisted, the repulsor can easily double the range, speed, and striking force of the weapon. The weapon can also be used in melee combat if the user finds themselves in close quarters, with the blade even being made with a lightsaber-resistant alloy.

While the weapon is designed to veer back towards the thrower naturally, the thrower can also wear a homing bracelet on their throwing arm. This will connect to the repulsor engine in the blade and guide it safely back to the users hand, so long as it did not hit something. The blade will take the most direct route back to the tracking bracelet and will not maneuver around obstacles like walls, and the blade must be in motion for the repulsor to move it. The razor also cannot be used to track a target, as the repuslor and bracelet are only designed to bring the blade back to the thrower.

LEGALITY​

Legal, but scrutinized. While this is a legal vibroweapon in most systems, the stigma attached to the blade means you will draw more attention from law enforcement if you are seen carrying one in public.

INTENT​

I wanted to create an exotic, culturally significant weapon to give melee fighters an interesting ranged option.
