Gavyn stood patiently behind the Rodian as the turbolift ascended, his eyes on the green skinned being. He hated jobs like these, babysitting slimeballs like his current employer, Hako Flan. But they always payed the most when their life was on the line, so ever so often he accepted working as a bodyguard. This time he had been dragged all the way to Mygeeto, to accompany Flan as he inspected the Mygeetan droid foundry that had been making sounds around the underworld recently.

As the turbolift came to a stop, Gavyn followed Flan out into the large chamber, his eyes quickly scanning the room, taking a note of the entrances and exits into the chamber. There were already others present, most probably other prospective buyers interested in buying the droids. The droids themselves stood in a ordered manner at the far end of the room, two dozen brand new battle droids. He could already identify three different models from the weapons they carried, blaster rifles, repeating blasters, snipers, weapons which would hopefully be turned off or drastically powered down for the demonstration.

Drawing his eyes away from the droids, he followed Flan as he moved deeper into the chamber, greeting those he knew, glaring at those he did not like. Gavyn kept an eye on him while he kept most of his attention on the other occupants of the room. This was meant to be an easy job, h should be in and out in a matter of hours, his coffers significantly richer, not a bad day's work.

Mygeeto, been a while since he last visited the planet. Actually he steered clear of it for the most part after his last job which saw Yuri and Shyra put together a team to rob a bank for quite a bit of money. You could say that that job was the one that put Yuri and Shyra on the map of the Retrade, and subsequently pushed them in the direction that it did, Yuri becoming a big player in the galaxies underworld and Shyra as well. And even though his long time partner now hung out with the Mandalorians and piloted Basilisk war droids for fun Yuri was still in the Retrade, now running it as its Prime Executive.

And as he sat in a chair, dressed in his uniform, two Zabrak gentlemen standing by his side as security while he awaited the beginning of the demonstration. He carried no weapons at this time, as he was assured by the host that he didn't need any. All he had on him were his modified TranspariPad and the keys to the Sparrow that had T4 and MOSAIC on board waiting on his return.

Looking at the group that had been assembled Yuri knew of some people but hardly met anyone before, and when the last guy entered, Hako Flan, Yuri checked them out as he had a rather interesting looking bodyguard by his side before he leaned back and awaited the demonstration to begin. He was after all a busy man with little time to spare so the sooner this started the sooner he'd be doing something else.

The only reason he didn't attend via holo was because he had another meeting that required him to be present in person hence he took the time to personally inspect these droids. After all for the price they were offered it was hard to not be suspicious of the quality...

Gavyn had learnt how to phase out unnecessary information a long time ago, and that was exactly what he was doing right now for the executive's long speech about profit margins and operating charges. He would pay attention when the actual demonstration began, but for now he was not interested in the presentation. He instead used the time to take note of Flan's competition, if anyone was going to try and harm the Rodian, it was one of them. His made particular note of a large man sitting with two Zabrak guards behind him. Something about the man spelled trouble, and Gavyn had learned to trust his instincts on such matters. If things started getting interesting then that man would be on the top of Gavyn's list to keep and eye out for.

But that was just him being thorough with his job, in all probability this was going to be an in and out job, no shots fired, Flan's life never really in danger. At that precise moment he felt a tremble under his feet, nothing major, like something you would feel from a hovertrain passing nearby, but the next second there was another, and then another. By now others had also started taking notice and even the wizened old presenter had stopped to confer with his aides. Gavyn was about to tell Flan to stay calm when a particularly strong tremor rocked the chamber and the presenter suddenly vanished as a large chandelier dropped from the ceiling onto him. What followed was utter chaos as the entire room shook and rocked. The next thing Gavyn could remember was finding himself on the floor, covered in dust and feeling like he had just wrestled a Rancor.

Slowly pushing himself to his feet, he noticed the rubble and dust all around, slight tremors still shaking the floor. He did a quick check of his own condition, luckily he seemed to have escaped with a few scratches and bumps, Flan on the other hand was a different matter. A large section of the ceiling was lying on the floor where his employer had been but a few moments ago. A lone hand sticking out from underneath was all that could be seen now. Shaking his head, he began moving, locating his hat lying on the floor a little way off. "Groundquakes," he muttered as he walked towards his hat, "how in the blazes do you protect someone from bloody groundquakes?" Dusting his hat off, he places it back on his head, only then performing a scan of the rest of the chamber as the dust started to settle down all around him.

"I wish I was smart enough and brought a jetpack with me. It'd have been easier..." The muscular human from before said as he dusted himself of. It all started with a slight vibration. But a drop of water could become a tsunami it seemed as a massive grounquake smacked them upside down. Yuri hadn't lost consciousness but he certainly wasn't better of because of it. Scratches and a few cuts showed that he fared decently, he'd heal, unlike his two bodyguards whom actually saved him just a few moments ago.

As they pushed him to safety a part of the ceiling caved in and actually killed both of them... Not what he wanted, for sure, but he was glad to be alive. "Guess the sale's of... so time to get out of here..." Yuri hadn't quite considered the possibility of teaming up with Gavyn just yet, he had no real reason to. Everything was fine wasn't it? The presentation was over before it really began and now it was time to leave, and Yuri's ship was on the landing pad. Or was it?
