"I don't want to cause a fuss. Normal is fine, I'm sure it's easier to learn with too, which is good, right?"

She smiled again as he finished, presuming that now he was done they could continue with the day. She stood hesitantly, not sure of where to go or what to do now. Despite all her natural talent and inate skill she was still very much a novice when it came to everyday mundane things, such as finding her way around an unfamiliar Temple.

She wondered at what the construction process would consist of. She knew her Father had gone to great lengths to craft his tools from the finest of materials, to build his instruments of destruction with the most potent of ingredients, the best tools for the job of making the best tools for his job. She doubted her first would be quite the same as his ornate works of art. She would aspire to greatness though... It was all a novice could do to dream of what they might later become.

"Will you help me? Where's the forge, and the parts? Do I have to make tem or are they supplied? Can I start now? There's no point in wasting time..."

"Yes, a normal saber is easiest to master. But don't worry too much about your blade. At the end of the day it is but a tool, it is the hand that wields the blade that makes the difference. And I am sure you will make a fine swordsman."

His meal done and Eleanor also not in need of anything the mess had to offer, Aden got up and began making his way out of the mess. "Don't worry, I am here to help you whenever you are in need of assistance. Come, I shall show you where the forge is. As for your other answers, some parts such as emitter matrix, power cell and others will be available within the temple. But some such as the crystal, and the hilt have to be acquired by you by other means. You can build a hilt on your own or use something that already exists in a similar shape. The crystal is the most critical part and you can leave it till the end. We can visit one of the crystal caves to find one for you."

As they reached the temple forge Aden motioned for Eleanor to enter and then followed her in. "Look around, try and find things you might need." Pointing to a small droid clanking through the room Aden continued, "I think that droid would be a good place to start. Have him point you to all the things you need."

She flashed a grin at Aden's sightless face before walking over to the droid. It was a simple thing, not designed to perform complex tasks such as actual construction. It appeared to be some sort of drone, a fetcher and a carrier, certainly not a thinker.

Eleanor didn't mind. All she wanted it for was finding the components of a blade, and she was sure it was more than capable of doing that. As she scrolled through its menu she was pleasantly surprised to find that finding lightsaber components was one of the favourite tasks.

As she sent it trundling off she set off in the other direction. She had told it to collect focus rings and emitters, while she was off to find a hilt. She searched the forge until she found a rack of hilts, all finely crafted but basic and minimalistic in their design, unlike Father's. This pleased her, and she took one that was short with slight ridges along it, supposedly for grip.

She returned to Aden with her prize at roughly the same time as the droid. Although it had more things to find it knew the layout of the place (and more importantly where things were). She looked at him half expectantly. She had no idea what to do now. She'd never forged before...

As Eleanor returned with the various items required for the construction of her lightsaber, Aden nodded gave her a smile, "Good, now we can proceed." Leading the way to a secluded region of the forge. Sitting down he pointed for Eleanor to do the same and ordered the droid to deposit all the items on the floor in front of them.

As the droid left Aden removed his own lightsaber from the clip on his belt and placed it in front of them. "It is from these components that you will make your blade, combining them all together with the guidance of the Force. Close your eyes, envision everything lying in front of you, the components that you have, and what you want to make of them. Reach out to my lightsaber if you want, feel it through the Force to guide yourself. I will help as well but you must listen to the Force, let it guide your hand and your mind through this task."

As Eleanor closed her eyes and began falling into the flow of the Force, Aden himself submerged himself deep into the Force. Reaching out he gently brushed his mind with hers and began sending her a few mental nudges, gently guiding her in the correct direction.

Eleanor took up Aden's blade, feeling out its structure, the circuitry and workings that made up the sanctioned blade of a killer. She had refrained from talking to Aden about the blatant hypocrisies that dotted the Jedi way of life, mainly because she had dropped the diet bomb on him just a few short minutes previously. She would probably never start the conversation with him, at least, not until...

Not until she was a knight. As a padawan she had no place in questioning the cornerstones of the Jedi faith. Once she was a full member, blooded like Father, then she could start to ask the questions that would be needed.

She returned her mind to the task at hand. The parts before her were well made, albeit batch produced. Her first blade would be her first rung on the ladder of judgement, her first step from which she would ascend to the lofty heights of Him Himself.

She felt Aden touch her mind briefly, giggling at the intimacy of it. It was so close, so very close... Yet somehow there was only innocence between the two of them. Two beings of the light shutting out the Shade and making themselves more than the sum of their parts. He nudged her gently through their mental link, pointing to where she should begin. She let him show her the beginning.

She didn't touch the parts before her. Instead they rose before her closed eyelids, moving as the force which flowed so unnaturally strong through her saw fit. She wasn't so much directing them as acting as a vassal for the living force to flow through. In that instance, with a tiny shiver of ecstatic realisation, she knew that she had become one of its chosen. It was building her a weapon with which to defend it.

As the pieces slotted into place she focussed. She didn't turn her attentions to anything specific, she just focussed on strengthening her bonds with the force. With Aden. He wasn't guiding the pieces either, as far as she could tell: to all intents and purposes the pair of them were supplying the raw energy and the force was forging the blade. She wondered if that was how it was supposed to work...

Long hours began to pass. Her blade had long since been created, the emerald green crystal being the final component to fit in. It sat before her, awaiting baptism. Her eyes were still closed. She was utterly at peace. She couldn't even feel if Aden was still with her, such was her level of oneness. She didn't much care if he was or not... she had no sense of time in this state.

Aden sat patiently by Eleanor, letting her drift in the flow of the Force. He had withdrawn from her mind some time back, with the Force guiding her she did not need his help. He had been meditating since then, watching as her weapon slowly assembled in front of his eyes.

Finally, when he knew that she was ready he reached out and brushed his mind with her's once more, "Eleanor, rise. It is done." He smiled warmly as she slowly opened her eyes, warmth and pride radiating from him. Rising from the floor, Eleanor following his lead, he took her blade in his hand and activated it. Closing it once more he slowly floated it over to her, "This is a weapon of a Jedi, a tool to uphold the peace, use it well, use it wisely. A lightsaber is what most people relate with a Jedi, wielding one is not only a testament of you skill, but a great responsibility."

Floating his own blade up from the ground he clipped it onto his utility belt before leading them out of the forge once more. "You have come far in your training. It is time to test your skills in a real world situation, maybe undertake a mission for the order. Do you think you are ready for this?"

Blinking into the light of the temple, Eleanor smiled. Her weapon was on her belt, displayed proudly as a mark of worthiness. She knew it wasn't what she hoped for, but it was a step towards greatness if Nothing else. What she needed was a way to prove herself... A task she could complete to show the Order her worth. Father would be so pleased to hear if she managed to get high up.

Aden granted her wish, perhaps unknowingly when he spoke of a mission. Her heart did not flutter, for it had no beat to skip, but her smile widened nonetheless. Jackpot.

"I'm ready Aden. Will it be something useful? I don't want to be fetching and carrying..."
