General Rules

1. Godmodding will not be tolerated in any way, shape or form, and if your discovered godmodding you will be disqualified. But you're all good RPers so we shouldn't have to worry about that.

2. The sign-up in some terms is 1st come 1st serve, but I try to accommodate everyone. And the sign-up thread will be posted at a time where all time zones could (feesibly) be online. If you don't make it, sorry, but those who were very interested and are too late will be considered for the next tournament.

3. One character per User. No exceptions.

4. The entire draw is made at the beginning and it is final. If you think you have a genuine complaint about the draw or the drawing process, PM me, but don't expect the draw to be edited.

5. The person drawn first in each match may start the thread in the "Grand Tournament" forum and give their opening post. The other person will then respond with their opening post. Neither of you are allowed to attack on your first post and there are no time restrictions on when you make your first post. So if Person A starts the thread one day, you may respond when you wish, but once you have entered the thread (and therefore commenced the duel) the time restrictions of Rule 6 are to be followed.

6. Other than your 1st post, once your opponent has posted, you have 48 hours to respond. If you do not post in 48 hours, you will be issued with a warning, or straight disqualified. This will be checked, and if you notice it has not do not hesitate to PM me, or post in the discussion thread. The only* exception to this rule is if you post in the "Personal Notifications" forum declaring a future abscence.

7. The actual match will have no restrictions of armour or equipment. If your character, for whatever reason, has on their possession something they normally don't, this must be specified in the first post.

8. You will both fight until one of you is "dead" or one of you forfeits. Your "death" in this has no impact on the actual story of the RP.

9. You may not edit the content of your post at all. If you notice typos, grammatical errors or wish to explain something in more detail you may only edit it before your opponent responds.

If you see anybody breaking these rules, drop me a PM and I will sort it out ASAP. Any further questions don't hesitate to drop me a PM or post in the discussion thread.

*If it so happens you have been unable to reach a computer and you were not able to inform anybody beforehand, it will be reviewed whn you return. However, if you are away for the later rounds, the competition will continue and you will be disqualified. This is unfortunate, but we cannot stop the competition to see if you're actually coming back or not.

Disqualification

Disqualification will ultimately be my decision, and whilst I will assess each event of rule breaking on a case by case analysis, I will work on a warnings system (Generally, 3 strikes and you're out). Breaking any of the above rules once, for a first time (providing either it is reported to me by your opponent or I see) will result in a First Warning post. Break another rule and you will recieve a Final Warning post. Break a rule again, and you will recieve a Disqualification post. I will, of course, keep records of whom is issued strikes, and they will carry over for the entire tournament. If you break the same rule twice, or persist in breaking rules, you may be Disqualified straight away. The posts will be posted in the format below.

First Warning to [NAME], for breaking Rule No.X
Final Warning to [NAME], for breaking Rule No.X
[NAME] is Disqualified, for breaking Rule No.X

Duelling Locations

1. Arena A simple, empty, roofed arena, large enough for a ferocious fight, under scrutiny by a crowd of thousands, protected from you by a disruptor field.
2. Metropolis Fight throughout this cityworld. Due to your fight, the civillians have fled and you have this section of the planet-wide city to yourself.
3. Jedi Sanctuary Battle throughout a great, ancient, abandoned Jedi sanctuary. The force is strong here, in the echoey halls.
4. Dark Crypt You and your opponent meet in a dark and dusty ancient structure, a nexus of the power of the dark side and once an academy for dark acolytes to be trained.
5. Jungle Fight through the platforms and branches of the giant worshyr trees on Kashyyk.
6. Deep Blue Sea Ahto City, on the surface of watery Manaan, and even that has great measures of water between it's roads and many levelled buildings. The floating city is the place where you will fight and even the Selkath Arbiters do not dare to intervene.
7. Graveyard This planet once played host to a great battle, between the Republic and her enemies. You fight on the derelict surface, littered with corpses and the broken hulls of ships.
8. Cantina A popular cantina, hive of scum and villainy, has emptied as it's patrons know two great combatants come to fight here. Like the fabled Hutt cantina, the Jekk Jekk Tarr, this holds a great number of dark rooms and bars, deserted for your fight.

Posting Your Fight

Your fight should be posted with the appropriate tag, followed by the names of the combatants, as they are listed in the draw in this thread. The appropriate tags refer to which round of the competition it is and are as follows, in the square brackets.

Tags
Round of 16 - [Ro16.MX]
Quarter Final - [QF.X]
Semi Final - [SF.X]
Third Place Playoff - [3rd]
Final - [Final]

NB 'X' stands for the number of your fight as listed in "The Competition" thread.
