Ruminations on Healing was constructed four centuries ago, the last surviving record of Jedi Master Antaki Shaknaw. Master Shaknaw was a renowned healer within the Order, dating back to the days of the High Republic. Building on millenia of acquired knowledge from all aspects of the Order, Rumination stands as a testament to the role of healers within the Jedi Order of old, as well as an extensive guide on the use of the Force in healing various maladies.

Content

The holocron could only be accessed by a trained Jedi Knight. The holocron contains information on several different topics within the domain of healing.

The first level contained information and guidance on using the Force to heal others. Practical advice for Jedi healers to further their own healing abilities with the Force, as well as strategies on pain management and the purging of toxins from sentient bodies. Further notes would include musings on the curing of virulent diseases, along with several hypotheses on how infections and plagues would react to certain applications of the Force.

The next level contained several historical records from the Order's history, documenting periods of great sickness or injury. Weaved together from the testimony of countless healers, the records give insight to several periods of Galactic history as well as some research into the nature of different contagions. For this reason, this level of the holocron can only be accessed by those Jedi who have used the Light to heal others extensively.

The final level contained records for various long-forgotten sites of importance through the Galaxy, which were once used as places of healing and convalescence by the Order. These sites could be located in areas where a vergeance is also located. They could also be lost ruins that may be of potential archaeological importance to the Order. This final level requires the user to be an experienced healer and have ascended to the level of Jedi Master.

Intent

This is intended to be Site Lore. The goal is to create an artifact that is focused around healing and caring through use of the Force, rather than offensive or investigative capabilities. Whilst the holocron gives no specific abilities, it is intended that by studying the holocron, the Jedi in question will become a more accomplished and skilled healer, able to use their abilities to a greater extent.
