Relatively short for a Wookiee, Salbebecca is nonetheless large and intimidating to most other species. His fur is patchily colored brown, black, and white, and his eyes have a certain intensity to them. He looks rather typical for a Wookiee and wears a translator mask in most situations.

A career fighter, criminal, and all-around scoundrel. He is rather direct, oftentimes to a fault. While he is by no means stupid, and is an overall creative thinker when backed into a corner, most of his strategies rely on overwhelming strength and force from the jump. He is willing to jump into the fray, regardless of personal consequences, and has the personal power to back up his bold offensives.
PERSONALITY:
Salbecca is a scrapper before anything else. A combination of amoral and ambitious, he is a self-interested risk-taker, able to do anything to succeed. His natural propensity towards violence makes him a natural fit for the world of organized crime, where most every life meets an appropriately violent end. He reflects this - he is quick to anger, always willing to solve problems with his fists,
His brutishness is not without a code, however. He is deeply invested in the chain of command - loyal to those above him, to a fault, and deeply protective of those who serve alongside and under him. To that end, he would use any variety of self-sacrificing, or brutal, tactics to “see the mission through” with as few casualties as possible. He can also be rather sentimental - although he realizes that the “nature” of his work involves interacting with sentient enslavement and trafficking, he has a deep hatred of this, and would eliminate the trade altogether were he in a position of power.
Outside of his working hours, where he wears the face of a grizzled vet, he is a rather cheerful sort-of Wookiee. He loves drinking, singing, and general merriness when off-duty, a counterbalance to his stoic, stubborn nature while on the job.
BIOGRAPHY:
Born during the tumultuous years leading up to the Clone Wars, Salbecca enjoyed a quiet childhood among his tribe before the invasion of Kashyyyk. While he was too young to quite remember the details of the Clone Wars, and the initial occupation of Kashyyyk, he remembered the brutal enslavement of his people at the hands of Imperials and the eventual struggle for liberation. He was forced across the galaxy from a young age, ripped from his homeworld by a mid-ranked Moff who thought that owning chained Wookiees made him more threatening. Thus, even after the liberation of Kashyyyk in 5 ABY, he was one of those Wookiees still enslaved by Imperial Remnants.
He took his liberation into his own hands, one day. The faction of the Imperial Remnants he was enslaved by was incredibly weak, suffering both against the New Republic and other, maligned remnants of the Empire. He made his escape in the dead of night, killing his former master and escaping into the galaxy at large. Penniless, he took on “odd jobs” across the galaxy, relying on his skill at intimidation and brute strength to eventually pay his way back home to Kashyyyk. There he found his village destroyed, his family dead; killed some years ago during the liberation of his homeworld. Without a home, and with very few nonviolent skills, he returned to the galaxy as a bank robber. He vowed to rebuild his home and clan by any means necessary, and “liberated” funds from banks across the Outer Rim to accomplish this task. This eventually earned him the ire of the New Republic, and he was thrown in a cell.
In prison, he happened to share a cell with an agent of the Black Sun syndicate. A mutual respect developed between them: The Black Sun member came to respect Salbecca’s usefulness as an unscrupulous soldier, while, in turn, Selbecca appreciated the disciplined, no-nonsense approach that the Black Suns took to criminal enterprise. They worked together to escape the Republic prison, fleeing into Outer Rim space to the protection of the Suns. Now, he serves the organization formally as a loyal attack dog for the Black Suns: A man who is able to do any grunt work that needs a solid blaster. Whether that’s training other Black Suns mercenaries, guarding higher-ranked members of the Syndicate, or otherwise “fixing” problems, there are very few jobs he wouldn’t take.
