3. The Marketplace

Notes: Located in the center of town the market resembles neutral space, fighting is limited or nonexistent here as people can purchase food, supplies, weapons, ammunition, vehicles, armor and anything else one can think of. The Market is a series of stalls and carts with one larger store called The General Store dedicated to the selling of weaponry, armor, and vehicles. Purchases can be made with credits or with barter.

The Marketplace is also host to banks, various caravan company headquarters, many cantinas and restaurants and the Erenshi finance guild. The Guild is a collective of merchants, bankers, businessmen, and financiers who have formed an alliance to protect their assets. The Finance Guild is seen as the most protected sources of investment in the city so their loans are often taken even with their stiff interest rates. The Guild is largely responsible for the peace in the market due to their ability to hire small armies of mercenaries and bribe most groups that could cause them trouble.

The organization is democratic however the lots are awarded based on personal wealth, thus the richest Guild members have the most say in Erenshi policy. The groups leader and main representative, The Satrap, is the one holding the most wealth and can change at any given time, recently the long holding Satrap Arai Noll, has died giving way to his second in command Balron Morricart, while I knew Arai well and saw him as an honest business man who saw uplifting the people as a way to open up markets, I am less aware of the aims of Balron. Will report with future findings.

New Findings:
After the disappearance of Hiro and the subsequent rise of TMC, I looked further into the dealings of the Erenshi and found reports of many mysterious deaths of the upper echelon of bankers and tradesmen, one name you'd expect on that list was not upon it, Balron. My findings suggest Balron made a deal with TMC to off his competitors in order to secure his once tenuous spot atop the Erenshi elite in exchange for the support of the guild in the TMC corporations eventual takeover. If this is true Balron is more a greedy coward than I ever expected.

8. The Venom District
osmadth___bancur_slums_by_nurkhular-d50g0gr.jpg

Named after the gang that holds it under it's sway, the Venom district dips into the markets the Erenshi find less than savory. While they sell slaves they are not slavers in themselves, focusing on the drug trade. Psychotics, stimulants, pain-killers, and more the Venom district produces some of the most potent and addictive chemicals on the market selling their craft in every slum in the city. While chemists and drug makers are some of the major players in the District, it is also home to the city's premiere assassins.

Venom District assassins are part of a cult that gives the District it's name. Primarily called Vipers, the assassins preferred method of killing is through poison. Every assassin I've come across has had a poisoned vibroknife in their possession. The poison under analysis appears to be an agent that attacks the nervous system leading first to mild numbness, trembling hands, and then rapidly causing one to suffer seizures until eventual death. No known cure has been found for the effects of Venom poison, however I have found that small doses over a long period of time can lead to immunity, however one suffer occasional intensive hallucination as a side effect from the gradual nervous degradation.

The Cult of Venom's Leader is unknown to me, but a major force in the district appears to be a woman named Nera El'Marta. She is never without a large company of enforcers and seems to be the tax collector of the district, often returning to the Venom Temple after completing her rounds through various Venom controlled areas throughout the city. The district itself is the most diverse of the city, holding Twi'leks, Bothans, Kaleeshi, Kiffar, and many other alien and human-like species.

New Findings:
The cult of Venom seems to have found a new god these days, credits. The once secretive organization has opened its doors to the TMC corporation sharing many of their chemical stimulant recipes as well as their resources and contacts. I doubt this would have happened under Nera's direction, but you hardly have much sway in a coffin. The young enforcer disappeared months ago and only recently turned up in a sewer her body bloated and ragged from rot and decay. I'd say it's a fitting end for one so brutal, but it's consequences make this turn of events hard to savor.

I have heard whispers of true Venom cult members using their old underground supply depots as temporary shrines, but that may just be wild speculation from a populace that had grown accustomed to a cheap supply of drugs. I'll have to look into it further, though traversing the mines will be difficult now that its regularly patrolled by TMC mercs.

One thing I can confirm is a new leader has arisen in the puppet Venom who calls herself Sin. I don't know much about her other than the fact that she's certainly made waves to her rather unsettling appearance, a photo taken by a passerby from her days before she became leader is below

7. The Nest
nest_by_nrekkvan-d3f91kh.jpg

The feared citadel of the Ra'Fakki, the Nest is the major center point for slavery operations in the city. While I haven't been inside myself, I've been told the nest holds a series of cantinas, black and slave markets, and swoop bike garages. The Nest lords over the Eastern Slums mainly unopposed by the lesser gangs, this is due to the sheer ferocity of the tribal Ra'Fakki who are well known for their cannibalistic habits and proclivity to act on those habits while the victim is still alive.

Ra'Fakki warriors are mainly unarmored and use swords and clubs. Relying on speed and focus, the warriors ingest cocktails of stimulants before battles making them feel invincible and at times, they truly are. Recently the Ra'Fakki tribes have splintered slightly after the death of a long time warlord. This lull in their activity won't last forever though. Will update as more information surfaces.

New Findings:

It seems the Ra'Fakki have found a niche in the new TMC power balance as they've become the primary enforcers in the Eastern slums, gathering up unwilling souls by the dozens to work in the mines to enrich this strange new substance that seems to make workers more docile and thus much more useful in terms of operational output. The sick bastards are using this for more than catching people however as entire families have disappeared within a single night with no signs of struggle and only the smell of cooking fires as evidence of their grisly fate.

They seem to have come under control with barely any skirmishes between tribes reported or even rumored. However, I don't see any new chieftain leading them, which leads me to the conclusion that the Ra'Fakki much like the Erenshi are thoroughly under the thumb of the new TMC corporation.

4. Purgatory
0ec4840ae42563a43ba0b51c9a287073-d5ip8em.jpg

Located below the marketplace, Purgatory is the cities swoop track. Races occur daily and while many are simply done for gambling and glory, some races can be extremely consequential. While not unwilling to fight each other, Swoop gangers have found that settling some arguments through racing can be as beneficial as it is entertaining.

The track is never repaired or altered in anyway so as rubble accumulates new routes have to be found to complete the circuit. Repair service is done by ones own crew and if you crash on the course there are no medical services to heal you or rescue services of any type, those unable to leave the track quickly enough are often run over by their competitors to weed out rivals or sometimes just for fun.

2. TMC Corporate Territory
indiafuture8_by_michalkus-d6jtvrq.jpg

Troika Mining Company

Founded and created by Sonny Mills and Borga Vosadii Pronda, a mining company that is based on the gang ridden planet of Zonju V. While the Troika Mining Company has made it’s debut in the mining business, it has expanded it’s operations into dozens of other outlets including, gambling, casino and hotels, arms dealing and more illicit endeavors such as spice smuggling, extortion, and bribery. The company has amassed a large foothold on Zonju’s valuable mines, in which the extraction of a very rare mineral used to create the spice Crudax is mined with utmost importance.

The company has cleared Zonju V of it’s gang infested inhabitants, and now paves the way for more legal and profitable avenues. Taking care of the gangs and installing their own security force, TMC has pushed out all potentially dangerous foes who would hurt the citizens of Sathad’ra. Combining the previous and supplemental government that was the Erenshi Finance Guild, TMC has taken control of it’s assets and made them their own. Refurbishing the badlands that have deterred many from coming to the planet in the first place. The City of Bones, as it is called, seems to have turned into a City of light.

Constricting the infamous gangs of the Huns to near extinction, and have given the Venom District the freedom they so deserved, with the help of the Ra’Fikki Enforcers, which TMC also has taken control of, they are able to control the city and all of it’s inhabitants. Decreasing the murder and crime rates exponentially.

While security in the city has been a problem before, now with TMC at the helm, and with their brutal punishments, many have learned to control themselves and adapted to their new world. Regulating trade through Sathadr'as space port has also been taken control by TMC security and administration. Making sure that all of their assets, as well as the general safety of the population is safe form any harm.

The city has become more of a tourist attraction, with the entertainments placed far from the mines that are worked day in and day out. A large strip of hotels and casinos, led by the one and only Bouncing Bantha, has brought in huge growth and support for the company.

Under the Erenshi Finance Guild, TMC has control over the Arena, recently renovated and dubbed Deadlands Colosseum, and the race track. Both large entities which bring in credits to the company and help fuel Sathad’ra’s economy.

Currently the head of the gambling and casino finances has been forced to step down from his role and share in the company. As a result, TMC has lost it’s current supplier of weaponry for it’s security, although able to maintain balance, new tracks are being looked into to replace this small void.

Assets: (Not including the Ra’Fikki Enforcers, the Erenshi Finance Guild, or the hired help from the Venom District.)

3300 security: Breakdown
-1000 Hutt Regulars
-100 Gladiators loyal to Borga
-500 City Gang members
-800 Ra'fakki
-700 Erenshi guards
-200 Elite Venom assassins

4000 staff members (spread across all casinos and mines)
4000 mine workers
6 mine outposts

[Natori Security Company]
[Zonju V Base]

hLMVPVV.jpg

The Natori Security Company,[NSI], has become the main form of authority on Zonju V ever since the attack by Imperial forces and the attack on the Bouncing Bantha Casino. Brought in to add on to the security already established by Troika Mining Company under Hutt Cartel control. The NSI is in complete control over all TMC’s security based assets which, by extension, includes all of the Erenshi Guild and Ra’fakki territory. With a military like structure and chain-of-command, NSI has locked in specific protocols and enforces them with their addition of 1,800 men. All of which are supplied with the weapons and technology needed to perform enhanced security tasks. They have basically become a police force in Sathad’ra and combined with the already existing forces.

The NSI contingent on Zonju is led by former Galactic Alliance Commander and current NSI Commander Jacob Kelene. Tasked with keeping the city of Sathad’ra peaceful, and protecting Cartel affiliated assets, Commander Kelene reports only to the highest officials of TMC, specifically Borga the Hutt and Sonny Mills. All others are considered below his chain of command and under his authority. The loyalist Commander runs a strict operation and has been retrained with NSI style strategies. Commanding over members who were considered mercenaries and freelancers, they now serve as an official military type force.

Standard necessary equipment for Zonju V based NSI members are as follows:

In addition to the forces provided by aeonCORP, a small Hutt Cartel light fleet will be positioned above Sathad’ra and its popular spaceport. Manned by Cartel employed mercenaries and personnel, the fleet will be commanded by Cartel appointed ‘admiral’ Bruan Rool. Following the chain of command, his authority falls under that of Commander Kelene and any other appointed Cartel official. The light fleet will not limit trade nor increase traffic, just respond to security matters amongst other things.

The light fleet serves dual purposes. Primarily for security over Sathad’ra and the Cartel assets which it contains. Though with the fleet having battle-ready retrofitted mining barge, this will also serve as an asset to TMC’s mining operation on the surface. Leading this mining operation will be the emplacement of a “Star Trench”. This will serve as a natural hub of increased trade market for those specifically endorsed in the mining community. The Skolium rich surface of Zonju V makes this Star Trench and mining barge important factors, though their use extends to the nearing asteroids and large space rocks surrounding the planet which also have a great deal of important and useful minerals to be extracted.

Although security and mining are not the only thing. The Hutt Cartel wishes to make Zonju V and Sathad’ra along with it into a more cultural and diverse economic system by bringing in a new type of commerce venue. As seen throughout Cartel territory, “Gargantua-2” battle station. It has showed great marketplace prosperity throughout Hutt territory and has greatly served its main function as a defensive platform. Such results will be expected upon completion above Zonju V. While construction has begun, it is not expected to be completed for some time, although the efficiency in which the other stations were built had been done in record time.

Light Fleet:

Star Trench
Gargantua 2 Battle station
Keldabe-class Battleship
Modified Dolabra-class Mining Barge
DP40 Gunship
Murishani-class Frigate
Corona-K
Fierfek-class Attack Ship
Mikiyuna Droid Starfighter

Formerly Hun Territory, the TMC Corporate Territory spans most of the city and holds suzerain state status over the Ra'Fakki, Venom, and the Erenshi. It seems like the only people who stood up to them were Mallum and the Huns and now both of them have fled for their lives into the wastes outside the city.

I don't know much about these newcomers other than the fact that they have massive amounts of outside backing indicating a large pool of resources. Corporations often have outside sponsors, but the aggressive controlling grasp of this new group leads me to believe the resources aren't legitimate and so the entire venture is backed by a gang or criminal syndicate. This seems to be an open secret in the city as mercenaries previously aligned with the various warring gangs have come to work for TMC while smaller gangs have moved on to hustling the outskirts of the city.

Ultimately the TMC group seems primarily interested in what were thought to be defunct mines under the city. A new resource called skollium has been unearthed and is being dug up in earnest enriching all members of this new alliance. Ultimately time will tell what the ultimate aim of this group is, or if they're simply here to make money. Either way they need to be stopped.

One thing I have noted is the opening of their new casino. All I could get was public intel

MidasCasino_VIP_ConceptArt.jpg

The Bouncy Bantha
The Largest Casino on the far flung planet of Zonju V, and a source of great pride for the Hutt Nor'baal, the Bouncy Bantha is a massive multi-storey complex that contains everything one could dream of in a place of vice and excess.

The Gambling Floor
Covering almost every floor if the Casino is the Gambling floor. Every corner hosts a slot machine, and every open space a table. There are no time-pieces, to windows, and there is no set layout to the room, leading customers - who have attended the cut-price bars in every room - to find themselves disorientated and unaware of the time and therefore spend longer in to Casino, and spend a great deal more money. Each floor is overseen by twenty Gamorrean Security Personal, and ten mixed race Guards in plain clothes who are on the constant watch for disturbances, and cheaters.

Private Rooms
On every floor of the Casino - which have ramps instead of stairs - there are private rooms. Each room is open by invitation only and costs thousands of credits to hire. Containing their own bar, and tended to by approximately ten staff each the rooms are highly desirable. Each room comes is tended to by six Gamorrean Security personnel and is overseen by a floor manager.

Vesajilic Lounge
The personal lounge of the Casino's Owner Himself - Nor'baal - after whom's family the room itself is named, this room is quieter than the others, and its located on the fourth floor. With a small landing pad located to the rear behind several layers of blast doors, the Casino Owner himself resides on a slightly elevated platform at the rear of the room - which comes with ray and particle shielding at the touch of a button.

On the ceiling above the Hutt are eight concealed compartments, from which rapid firing auto-blasters can drop within milliseconds at the Hutts command should things get out of control. A more physical protection presence is to be found in the room as alongside numerous bounty hunters paying court to the Hutt the door itself is Guarded by six Gamorrean Security Personnel with a further twenty inside the room. Nor'baal has yet to acquire a more specialised security detail, but he is known to be on the lookout for one.

Hotel
To the right of the Casino proper is the attached Bouncy Bantha Hotel. Consisting of Twenty floors, and two-hundred and four rooms the Hotel is incredibly expensive, with the top floor containing four penthouse rooms that are leased out for free to guests of the Hutt. Each room is highly secure, with numerous weapon compartments, and an encrypted and sound proof entry to the room.

Non-penthouse rooms simply have a lock. There is a provided 'Room Service' of many exotic aliens - male and female - to suit any patrons requirements, as well as a wide array of spice and other substances to choose from made available in the rooms. The roof of the Hotel contains a landing pad.

Theatre
To the left of the Casino is the final main feature of the venue, the Vesajilic Theatre. Hosting 1,000 people and showing anything from Opera to Strip Shows, the Theatre is a great source of revenue, and due to the Casino's popularity attracts only the best acts from across Hutt Space.

The Mines
lord_of_the_rings___moria_by_atomhawk-d6apxr8.jpg

Now a misnomer as the mine has long since been barren of metals, it gives the term the underground a whole new meaning. Basically The Mine is used during gang wars as both a place for refugees and a highway system for messengers to get their intel across enemy lines. Venom has taken special interest in this resource, establishing several outposts throughout the rapidly decaying tunnels.

Filled to the brim with things and people who want you dead, I only recommend using these tunnels out of extreme need.

New Findings

The mines have been reactivated as zones of economic activity. Day and night the walls are chipped away to bring up some copper and iron, but mostly this new green ore. Either way the work is disturbing the Grays that live in the minds greatly. Everyday new waves of them appear to ravage the workforce. This does little to slowdown the downward progress of the miners who continue to transport the freed riches to the TMC factories littering the city with clouds of ash and dust.

Deadlands Coliseum
The_arena_by_gregmks.jpg

Located north of the market, the Arena hosts fights between slaves, soldiers, droids, hell anything that can hold a blade. Games are hosted regularly by both Erenshi financiers and local warlords who wish to show off their power and wealth. While one on one fights remain the staple, mock battles (as if we didn't have enough real ones) are also staged. Gambling is prevalent in the system and partially funds it.

Often times gang members enter The Arena voluntarily to seek a name for themselves. Heralded fighters can often get better merc contracts and occasionally can build their own gang from their reputation. While battle is the primary use, The Arena can also be used for public execution. Either by pitting criminals against one another or sicking a beast from the wastes upon them.

New Findings:

With the take over of the Erenshi Finance Guild, Troika Mining Company has basically doubled their presence on Zonju V. Pushing out Mallum Company after using their forces, was just the start. TMC plans on removing all local violence and turning the rest of Satha'dra into a luxurious and grand spectacle of entertainment and pleasure for those who have the coin for it. While all these are legal practices, the Cartel does not plan on specifically inducing their more illicit ventures on the planet. The mining of Skolium is restricted to just that, as the product f shipped off to Nar Shaddaa for manufacturing into a spice.

As such the Arena, which was run by the Erenshi Guild, has been given much thought and support by TMC's own co-CEO, Borga Vosadii Pronda. His renown in gladiators has given him a credible reputation, as well as his prominence in the Hutt Cartel. Borga has decided to take control of the Arena, renovating it at his and TMC's expense in order to turn a profit for the company and add on to his gladiator expansion.

The outward appearance of the Arena has stayed the same, although inside is what has changed. Gutting and changing the scenery inside, everything looks much more elegant and 'clean'. The color of the sand has been changed to a bright orange. A special section was created at the edge of the arena made especially for Borga's throne and his VIP members. This section is protected by guards and auto-turrets that rise from the floorboards to add a hidden security. This enclave is connected to the underground, where there is a fully staffed kitchen where servants are required to work at the pleasure of those who are lucky enough to be in the Hutt's section.

Guards are posted all around the arena's entrances and exits, as fights outside of the arena are looked down upon. Though special orders have been made to throw any outside fights directly into the arena sands, whether a bout is occurring or not. This tends to limit the violence. The rules of the arena has not changed, however. One on one fights, mock battles and all other types of fighting still remain. Public executions have come to a halt, though that's not to say Borga won't hold one if it pleases him. The Hutt has brought many of his taste and reputation into this new arena, bringing in beasts like Reeks, Acklays, and Rancors to fight against some of his own fighters and whoever wants to or is forced to battle them. The underground has been rebuilt to house and contain these creatures. And the lower sections of the arena often smell of them.

Borga has named it Deadlands Colosseum to mimic his arena on Nar Shaddaa.

The Mallum Company
As_One_by_Shimmering_Sword.jpg

Relative newcomers to the city, the Mallum made their home in the western part of the city and have expanded their range of 'protection' ever since. Highly trained and heavily armed, the soldiers fight for all sides and all takers in the many gang wars the city suffers from, using their protection tax base as a backdrop for their own projects. I've noticed over the months the Mallum have established their territory that they haven't spread, instead fortifying their position.

the Mallum are led by Arani Mallum, apparently the merch squad was her mothers, but she fought on the wrong side in some galactic war. Fleeing her enemies she came here. I don't know her quality of person, but at least her district is policed rather than merely conquered, will continue gathering intel on this.

New Findings:

The Mallum Company has pulled out of the city completely it seems. They mostly work in the caravan trade, squaring off with the Huns and other raider groups who fight for it's riches.

The Factory
desert_city_by_sjea-d6gtfec.jpg

On the outskirts of the city, this defunct industrial zone was once just used as an occasional source of scrap and parts. That was before the droid attacks began. Something activated something in that factory and now every night the deactivated droids wake up and march on the city, oddly enough they don't aim to kill, they just take metals and tech. However those who have resisted the theft, often don't survive.

All the droids appear to be of different makes though each gathers its own equipment denoting some similar A.I. capabilities. The droids appear to be slowly moving into the city as they expend the metals of the area closest to them, no telling what will happen if they wander into Venom, Hun, or Mallum turf.

The Port
battleship_world_by_progv-d669b2q.jpg

Leftover name for a leftover place, old city used to have water, a massive lake. No one knows where it went, but it's gone, now the old warehouses are used for spacecraft and to ready up caravans for the long trek through the waste. Anything and everything comes through the port which is why no faction has let any of the others fully control it, though Venom has a particularly large domain in the southern portion.

This port is the lifeblood of Sathad'ra and that blood will always be poisoned if someone doesn't stop the transport of slaves, drugs, and other black market goods from leaving and coming through it.

New Findings:

With TMC control, the flow of black market goods has only increased, except they are now all legal. Powerful weapons, drugs, and machines flow into the city at an unprecedented pace. Though Zonju V is still behind in medicine, agriculture, and transportation, were now at the cutting edge of how to kill people.

The Federated Republic
hunter_in_the_town_by_lingy_0.jpg

A small bloc, this group is the remnant of the legitimate government of Sathad'ra. Led by the young son of the late Caligula De'Nero, Julius, the group is barely scraping by, protecting the few people lucky enough to be within it's borders. Heavily indebted to the Erenshi and embattled at every turn, things look bleak for Republic.

I was a Republican guardsmen at one point, but between the ridiculous deployments and the endless politics, I realized maybe Satha'rad couldn't be won by idealists, at least not ones looking for the power and glory of governing the city. While I was among them I spoke to Julius about his aims and he began babbling about an ideal, united Zonju V. The entire planet...and he barely has two blocks. I'll keep tabs on the old Republic, but I'm not holding my breath on their success.

New Findings:

The Republic is dead with Julius. Republican guards are scattered across the city in hiding. Their leader is said to be a former captain called Harrassi

Outside the city limits are a new set of challenges that slow and sometimes completely prevent free trade a much needed component in uplifting the workers trapped in slums and under the thumbs of the gangs and dictators who rule them. Beyond the bandits and gangs that immediately prey upon any seeking to settle outside the walls there are greater beasts the roam the far wastes, looking for any sign of weakness to perhaps take the entire city as their own.

I've compiled a few images and sketches of creatures described to me and what I know of them

pNVEZFH.png

Nomanii, commonly referred to as No-Mans, make their living in the deserts around the city, hunting for whatever lives out there. Mostly they keep to their tribesman but have been known to attack lone travelers and even lightly guarded caravans for foodstuffs, including the travelers themselves. Humanoid in appearance the No-mans appear to be a lesser species, primitive with little culture and technology to speak of

wD8xxq8.png

Grays, meat eating creatures that like the dark of night, in the day they live in caves and often make The Mine their home. Be wary they often travel in packs

desert_bike_rebel_camp_by_neisbeis-d6s29el.jpg

Desert raiders have become a common sight outside the city, constantly harassing and destroying unprotected caravans in order to gain their riches. The chief among them is the Huns who control the outpost where many of the gangs take shelter, but each has strength enough to kill many and take much

HELLFIRE|Solutions
Beneath_the_NeonCity_by_OmeN2501.jpg

This is a new group that's taken an Oasis near Sathad'Ra. They haven't struck out directly for or against anyone and our first reports suggest they're an off-world mercenary company much like Mallum. They have fortified the area but seem open to visitors as various wastelanders and city elites have been seen coming and going. A closer examination and a possible meeting is merited.

The Commune
Old_castle_by_gregmks.jpg

If there is one good thing outside the walls it's the Commune, led by Lady Bouranii, the Commune live in an ancient castle on a nearby mountain top, often their followers are seen walking in the city begging for food and credits to fund the religious groups latest needs of the body. While I know little of the Lady or her followers it seems like they focus their belief on the stars as they have the same festivals around the same moment every year.

Recently the Commune has gone quiet, maybe the stars told them something bad.

PZ70dHu.png

Lady Bouranii of The Commune

Zonju V has fallen farther than I thought it could, I hope beyond hope it can be saved but hope is good for nothing. This will be my final report until I get to the bottom of this TMC Corporation, no matter how low I have to go to find that bottom.
