I don't know if this idea has been suggested before, so please don't become very angry, I just didn't know, which keywords I should use to search for this.

So my suggestion is, that the faction boards/forums should be made visible for only the members of the factions. Maybe a faction would like to do some secret things or something, but other factions could easily see, what they're planning. So... it would be a hard work to make the groups and other stuff, but I think it would be useful.

Each faction already possesses a private board where the Faction Leader and trusted members of said faction can get together and plot secret stuff. If you have secret ideas that you wanna share with your faction, PM it to your local Faction Leader. (GABA, Vencu, Rom, are the current one, and Cassanova and Gaja will become FLs after the Time Skip)

Well, I know that.

But when the discussion would be faction-wide, then it would be really tiring and difficult to PM everyone to discuss the thing. That's just an example, if something would happen. And besides, it would be better from the visual point of view too.

And plus you have people with different characters in different factions. Like I have a Sith and Jedi.

I've never heard of anyone planning something secret that would be faction wide, mainly because I think it wouldn't be a secret at all if it were. :P

I see the benefit from that, but having such a wide-scoping secrecy, particularly when some people, like Kiro for instance, who has a Jedi Knight and a Sith Master character, have access to both factions. More importantly, that secrecy, and general distrust of each other only breeds an attitude of competitiveness OOCly, which is something we're not trying to achieve. We are all here to collaboratively write stories and have fun, we work together at SWRP to create the coolest stories we can. Some stories we keep from each other to surprise everyone, others we plan out with our friends from other factions.

A good idea on some communities, hiding the faction boards won't work here at TheStarWarsRP.com, though.

Who's to say there aren't already hidden faction boards. Maybe you can't see them.

(SPOILER ALERT: There's not)

I agree with Cass. Our goal is to promote cooperation rather than competition.

Not to mention that even with "super sekrit squirrel" missions, if not more than a few people in other factions, at the very least the two faction leaders are aware of what's going to happen, even if the rest of the sites not. Just thought it was a good point to bring up, is that with main factions at least (I can't speak for any indies, except my imperial knights and this applies to them as well) we aim for a high amount of transparency to promote a collaborative, immersive story that everyone can enjoy.

I'm sure that's what you want us to believe.

You just read my mind.

We should form our own secret faction... Dedicated to proving that there are secret pages reserved only for the OPs... There, they plot about how best to subjugate the community, so we will be powerless to resist when their leaders, the Killer Klowns from Outer Space, invade...
