Senator Kang lambasts ISC for connections to Sith droid supplier, Blackwell
In an explosive session of the Galactic Senate today, Senator Kang of Byblos called for members to take more decisive action against companies selling weapons to the Sith Empire. Following a resolution by Senator Starros of Lothal, which called for an embargo on the movement of war materials and funds into the Sith Empire, the debate moved to a more personal note with Senator Kang calling out members with direct links to weapons developers.
Senator Kang specifically took Galactic MegaCorporation, Blackwell Technologies to task during the debate, alluding to links between the ISC and the company, which has sold weapons and droids currently being used to against NR and FWA civilians, to the Sith Empire.
"It is a well-known fact that the armies of the Sith were first formed with the help of Blackwell battle droids, a megacorporation whose board members are senators and presidents in our own assembly."

Blackwell, whose board features members of the ISC, such as former Secretary for Intergalactic Affairs Julia Hipori, as well as President of the ISC, Emyrc Thorne, has supplied the Sith Empire with battle droids - something Senator Kang went on record, levelling the accusations on the Senate floor.
The Byblos Senator lambasted the Sith Empire, reminding people that her world 'barely managed' to repel the Sith invasion recently saying:
"Byblos faced a Sith invasion and only barely managed to repel it due to outside aid. Afterwards the Sith still managed to get on the planet and massacre the rangers that were guarding prisoners of war. We were powerless against the might of the Sith and the impressive droids under its command."

Senators Starros and Kang both spoke at length in support of the resolution, however, Kangs direct accusations that members of the Galactic Senate may be directly profiting from the war with the Sith Empire, have stunned onlookers. The Hyperlane Herald can confirm that members of the ISC have long-standing ties with the MegaCorporation Blackwell.
There are certain questions that need to be answered by the ISC, and onlookers will watch the vote with interest to see if ISC members vote in favour of restricting arms sales, and reducing civilian deaths in the process, or if they vote to protect their own interests, and oppose the motion.
