After centuries of war and repeated bombardment, Mandalore was in dire need of recovery. With the new developments in the galaxy and the 'allies' they now had, ironically from a faction that historically had been the root cause in the first place, this was finally within reach. Of course, that didn't mean it was going to be easy.

Dalair and Taz flew aboard the latter's ship to intercept an 'Ark' carrying both a seed vault and assorted wildlife. A massive, modified
Star Seeder-class colony vessel, the Ark of Antheia was en route to deliver its illegally-acquired payload to Core and Hutt space. Rather than passengers, the ship's cargo was expanded for both flora and fauna. Doubtless, there were a hundred luxurious zoos and research labs that craved what it carried. Mandalore had a greater need than some worthless Hutts or Core lushes collecting pets.

The armorer wore his
beskar'gam, jetboots and a whipcord thrower replacing his jetpack and wrist rocket launcher. Best not to rely on bulky rockets or something that could badly damage the rest of the ship for this one, he figured. An RSKF-44 was holstered along his python and other miscellaneous gear, including pairs of smoke, frag, and concussion grenades in belt pouches. Taz was in charge of carrying breaching charges. Dal'd also left his carbine behind. For good reason, though.

It'd been replaced by an old, refurbished Imperial-era rotary repeater for the day. Their original plan was to act like a damaged or low-fuel ship needing 'help' in order to get aboard. They couldn't really sneak up on the proper way, so that'd have to do. Even with the vast majority of passenger space wiped out for wildlife, there'd be many crewmembers aboard, security included. Dal figured the less they felt like fighting back the easier this would be for everyone involved.

To that end they both handled piloting. Their original plan failed immediately, the Ark's captain suspicious of a Mandalorian vessel near Mandalorian space, and fired upon them pre-emptively. The Ravenous bolted through open space from around the cover of a moon, heading straight for the Ark's hangar and trying to dip below turbolaser firing arcs.

Unfortunately, those had apparently also been modified and replaced with faster and lighter guns. A storm of shots flew past while others impacted the ship, rocking it and sending sparks dramatically flying from a series of wall panels. As it approached the hangar another shot damaged a main thruster, but by now the Lancer was close enough. Dal fired reverse thrusters and banked, sliding into the hangar sideways without landing gear. It screeched across the small hangar floor until finally stopping, smoking ominously from the hits it'd taken.

Another happy landing.
"I'll fix it later," the armorer promised, shooting up from his chair in spite of a pronounced ache from the rough landing, and grabbed the rotary gun on the way to the exit ramp. "Let's go!" Plugging it into a back-belt mounted power pack he lowered the ramp and rushed down it, the gun spinning up in his hands. Shipboard klaxons rang through the air all around and red emergency lights flashed. Right up ahead was the entrance door to the rest of the ship, as of yet unsealed.

Just as the two Mandalorians would reach the door the first security group would arrive, four men with pistols rounding the corner of the adjacent hall. With a grunt Dal hefted his weapon and held down the trigger, bursting a wave of bolts that caught the first in line and sent the rest scattering back around the corner with a string of curses. The shot man fell to the ground, smoking but still alive.

Awkward landing aside, Dalair thought this was overall a pretty decent first impression thus far. He jerked his helmet for Taz to move up and took the left wall, opposite the corner with security around it, and began to march down the hall. Unfortunately, more boots could be heard echoing down that hallway. Taking the ship wasn't going to be an easy affair.

Taz Fett did not share in the distaste or mistrust of their allies as many of the other clans did. Perhaps because be understood it from the Sith's side. That the actions of ones people from a time long ago should not mark who one might be today. We should be our brother's keeper. Not our Grandfather's. As an outcast family shunned by his people as "not a real clan." He knew that mistrust well.

It was perhaps for that reason that the Fett warrior volunteered the use of his ship. To ease some of that mistrust and show loyalty to their cause. However as the he realized his mistake far to late. As he tired to bring the weapons online, to you know, fire back. Dalair would pilot the ship, or rather seemingly drive the otherwise nimble craft into every shingle laser bolt that he could.

Taz's body visibly cringed with each blow impact on his ship. As sparks showered behind him. "Why! How?." He tried to find words but was to infuriated to speak. The "landing" would have been something truly inspiring, had the other mandalorian bothered to put the gear down.

Furry now filled Taz, as he followed the Solus member. He wore his iron skin as always. However like the other mando, he altered it for the task ahead. Boots for the pack, and whistling birds for the wrist rocket. The Fett warrior also carried a scatter blaster rather than the Wolverine he was quickly becoming accustomed to.

They exited the ship, and made their way to the first doorway. Just as the first of the security teams had reached them. Taz was more then willing to let Dalair open up with the blurrg first to clear the way. Moving up with Dalair's nod. Taz would point the barrel of it scattergun at the face of the first man, and fire. Putting and end to him. Then work the action to charge the weapon again as he took a knee at the corner and leaned out.

The other three men had expect a standing man to come around, and so had aimed high. Showering the wall just of the Solus forge master. Taz pulled the trigger on the gun, and unleashed a cone of bolts. The two closest men were now nearly consumed in mortal wounds, while the third was only grazed. Having been mostly shielded by the bodies of the others in the tight space of the hallway.

Dalair marched forward down the hall, ducking a little as bolts came in but overall undeterred. Taz clearing the group out, for the most part, caused the last guy to make and dart back around the corner. Dal threw some more bolts at it to encourage this behaviour.

"To the bridge then," he said, angling to keep his rotary gun pointed at the hall's intersection, approaching from the opposite side wall. Some poor unfortunate soul peeked around it and got about 20 light bolts to the face for their trouble. Both Mandalorians would hear the clitter-clatter of boots and gear in the following hallway.

"Thermals," the armorer said over their coms, reaching up to switch to that vision mode and grabbing a smoke grenade from his belt. Before rounding the corner he chucked the primed grenade around it down the hall, several bolts flying past where his arm was to strike a wall. Under the cover of smoke they could advance.

And so Dalair did, rounding the corner and holding the trigger down on his weapon. Bolts filled the hallway like horizontal laser rain, chewing through several guards before the ones in the back decided to get the fuck out of the main hallway. They couldn't see and there was a lot of angry, angry blaster fire coming their way from someone who could see them just fine.

Someone at the end of the hallway a big blast door went thunk and sealed, trapping some of the guards with the Mandalorians but impeding their forward progress.

Kerr Saxon thought it was a shame that people have to die here, just some guards going about their day guarding some animals and seeds to some plants. But this is important to the greater future of Mandalore. Glorious purpose trumps Kerr's and anyone else's personal feelings on the matter. This has to be done.

The Clan Saxon member brought everything he would need for this mission, which included thermal sights interpreted into his helmet.

With their being guards trapped in the same hallway as this and the door locked, they were easy prey. Kerr would fire shots from his Sith-made blaster carbine at them, putting down the rest, they are non-mandas hapless before their skill and firepower. It's a really bad day to have been employed on this ship.

With the guards down and the smoke dissipating, the only obstacle is this big door that closed. Turning thermals off for now, Kerr would walk forward and size up the door. "It would take a lot of firepower and explosives to bust this door down." he wound ponder "Or..." Kerr would pull a cylindrical object from his belt and then ignite it. With the lightsaber he aquired from a defeated Jedi from Lothal, he would then slice open a circular hole they can go through.

Now they can be on their way to the bridge.

But the defenders are not letting the Mandos take a step forward without a fight, as three large-sized droids would assemble at an three-way corridor up at head, bearing light-repeaters in their hand. They would shortly fire down at the Mandalorians.

Dalair eyed Kerr's lightsaber from behind his visor, a sign they'd defeated a Jedi to take it. Much less messy than explosives without a doubt. He approved. The armorer took a position further back, spun-up repeater pointing toward the door while Kerr went about cutting through.

As the door dropped and three droids revealed themselves down the hall Dalair went to squeeze his weapon's trigger. He got shots off but the droids returned fire as well, resulting in the armorer throwing himself left behind the cover of the door. One droid was left with a few minor smoking holes while Dal's armor had a couple light bolt-marks on his chestplate.

More importantly, his repeater had been used as a shield during the dodge, burning out a couple barrels and rendering it useless. As bolts flew through the doorway he dropped it and its connected power pack, detaching the cable from the gun. Dalair hefted the power pack's cable and began to spin it, starting up slow until had a decent amount of momentum.

"Shoot when it lands," he said just before peaking out to throw the power pack down the corridor toward the droids, clanging against the ground and sliding to a stop more or less in the middle of the group.

Those droids are laying down some firepower, he ducked into the doorway hedge when the repeaters started spray blaster fire. If he got there a second late he might have been dead. But the armorer besides him didn't take too much damage, just some bolts to the repeater of his own, which made it unorderable. He did nod when he understood what the other Solus' was planning, an improvised bomb in which he needs Kerr to help set off.

Kerr would then draw a blaster pistol to his other hand will quick, and then pop out of cover amiss the repeater spray and then shoot the power pack. The resulting explosion would be powerful, it would destroy the two closest droids, but cripple the last one to where it's own the ground trying in vain to get back up. Kerr would then ignite the lightsaber in his hand and stick it through the droid's head. The coup de grace.

Kerr would then ask the armor just in case "Need a new blaster?" he would offer his rifle if need be. Should the armorer accept it, he would give it.

Anyways, through the hall ways they would go through, resistance through this ark ship hasn't fully mobilized yet, they can get closer to the bridge before back-up arrives if they hurry. "It's not too much further this way".
