Out of the armor

Name: Sevron "Sev" Mattox

Profession: A skilled Mandalorian sniper, tracker, and unarmed specialist

Age: 31

Gear: Mandalorian light armor, verpine sniper rifle, blaster pistol

Like many mandalorians before him, the art of battle was Sevron's life from the moment he was able to stand. He was baptized in the fire of death and war along with other young hopefuls, which were mostly Taungs. They were all his brothers, but there was always that small hint of hostility towards eachother. Human mandalorians was still a very new thing for the Taungs to accept, and for many of them it was hard. But as Sev and the other few human boys continued to grow older, many of the Taungs agreed that some humans were quite possibly an acception to their race. Sevron being one of them.

When the boy turned five years of age he was tossed into the training circle against the other young mandalorian children, both Taung and human. He was taught to feel no fear or pity for his enemies. Only hatred. His teachers passed down a craving for glory and honor down to him, the kind of craving and desire that no one other than a mandalorian could understand. "Honor in Victory, Glory in Death," his teachers would say to Sev and the other young ones while they brawled against eachother in the sand and the dirt.

In the training circle, old mandalorian instructers taught the little ones many fighting skills like sword fighting, the proper use of blaster weaponry, and hand-to-hand fighting. The last of these styles was one that Sev favored the most. He was larger than the other children and hardly ever lost a fight when it came down to him, his enemy, and their fists. It was in the training circle that Sev became very adept at fist fighting, and where his skill for the fighting style was realized.

When he turned thirteen years old the training increased dramatically, almost to the point of killing young Sevron. He no longer fought against the other mandalorian children, he was tossed into the wild on pointless missions meant only to test his survival skills. He was constantly pitted against strange creatures and wild monsters and the mandalorians had captured and starved just to make them more dangerous and desperate for meat. Every fight nearly led to the boys death, but every fight he emerged victorious! He was finally starting to gain some honor amongst the other warriors, and Mandalore was beginning to notice the young boy's potential. He finally assigned him to several scouting parties and missions that the mandalorians had to complete daily, just for security. Souting out the area daily would ensure that no random creatures would walk right into the camp and cause a mess of things. These parteis were also used to detect any spies or hostile forces that might of found the mandalorian campsite.

Of course, Sevron didn't scout alone. He was partnered with an older mandalorian sniper called Taven. Taven had ben a sniper for the mandalorians ever since he was Sev's age. It was another old mandalorian that taught him how to snipe and how to track enemies in the wild, and now he decided it was time to pass down his skills to the next young blood. So while out completing their rounds, Taven taught Sevron everything he knew about being a sniper such as survival techniques, staying hidden in the shadows, and tracking down prey. It took some time, but Sevron became exceptionally good at it. Almost good enough to rival his mentor, Taven. His newer skills were put to use every once in a while when bounty hunters, scavengers, or just simple travelers stumbled too close to the camp site. It was the bounty hunters who had proven to be the more difficult prey. They had actually led Sevron on a long and bothersome chase but, as expected, he ended up making the neccassary kills.

Throughout his years of being a young sniper, Sevron became well known for his cunning on the hunt and his skills as a fighter. Mandalore himself had spoken to the warrior on several occasions, and Sevron felt that he was on fairly good terms with his leader. There wasn't much room for small talk, but he did get the chance to speak to the mandalorian leader every so often, slowly learning from him just as he did with Taven.

Now, Sevron is old. He is an experienced veteran with many trophies on the shelf. He is in the same position that Taven once was before him. The most skilled sniper for the mandalorians, teaching the young bloods how to protect their own out in the wild and, if necessary, taking down any of Mandalore's enemies that reveal themselves to him.

This character has almost the same last name as my Jedi Padawan who committed suicide.

Nice profile.
