SHIMWO LUYANH
Human Male 50 years old (b. 6953 BBY) Mild Force Sensitivity Church of the Force Jedha Level 1

BIOGRAPHY
Shimwo was born, and grew up on, the moon of Jedha in the Mid Rim. Like many who lived in the Holy City, he was enamored by the concept of the Force at a young age, eventually bringing him into the fold of the Church of the Force. Also like many, Shimwo embarked on a galaxy wide pilgrimage in order to complete his rites and become a fully fledged monk. Shimwo interpreted this pilgrimage as a journey of discovery of the Force itself. To that end, he sought out the ruins of the numerous Jedi monasteries and battle sites that shattered the Jedi Order. However, Shimwo's pilgrimage gave him no satisfaction.

His puzzlement eventually morphed into bewilderment and doubt of the nature of the Force itself. Shimwo's teachings always emphasized that the Force had its own grand plan for every being, but Shimwo could not comprehend how he fit into that plan. When he became a witness to a Jedi protecting the weak, it occurred to Shimwo that he was not supposed to be looking for the Force. The pilgrimage is not for him to discover the Force; it was a journey to discover himself. He realized that he did not know what he wanted to do for himself.

The pilgrimage we undertake has no destination. Certainly, in the most extreme cases, you may end up spending your entire life on your pilgrimage, never to see where the path ends. Conversely, it may come to an end tomorrow in the most anti-climatic way. All is as the Force wills it.

Simply following the teachings and doctrines of the Church will not satisfy his daily life. He sought to understand the Force's plan for the Jedi Order. Shimwo returned to Jedha to dedicate himself to the study of martial arts, believing that training in fashion similar to a Jedi would facilitate his understanding of the Jedi Order. He spent decades studying the Jedi, to the point of seeking out Jedi to spend time alongside.

PERSONALITY AND TRAITS
In his early years, Shimwo was a strict adherent to the teachings of the Church of the Force: this persisted through his youth to the end of his pilgrimage across the galaxy. When it dawned on him what his purpose was, Shimwo sought to release himself from following solely the teachings of the Church, but to also understand others' beliefs of the Force. His open mindedness to the various sects and beliefs of the Force made Shimwo approachable and easy to get along with. Once Shimwo dedicated himself to study and chronicle the Force, he had come to the realization that understanding the Jedi culture is important to understanding the Jedi themselves and broadened his knowledge.

Shimwo is not averse from making witty remarks or pointing out uncomfortable issues that he felt was being disregarded. He typically was tactful and diplomatic in his choice of words in the case of the latter. Rarely would Shimwo back down in a heated conversation, seeking to further his understanding of the person in question moreso than a resolution to the debate (although he does not dismiss the necessity of resolution).

SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Shimwo's training gave him mastery of zama-shiwo. His expertise not only laid in his physical prowess, but also his limited connection to the Force. With it, he could sense the slight motions of intent from others through the Force, giving Shimwo a moment's warning to decide his course of action. However, his precognition through the Force is extremely limited compared to what a Force sensitive is capable of achieving, so Shimwo taught himself to combine his senses with the motions of training and instinct to become a respectable combatant. Shimwo would typically wield a staff or a pair of batons in combat, though he has trained in the use of the lightbow.

As a reminder, Guardians of the Whills doesn't exist at this time. I remember us talking about this, and you had edited as such to remove it, though I just noticed that you may have accidentally forgotten to remove Guardians of the Whills in the affiliation slot.
