This meeting was called to order by the Prime Minister herself. Many shipwrights in based in the galaxy were invited here as she is looking to build a fleet for the FWA. Instead of traveling to all these different worlds and individually bartering with them, they could all come to one place and tackle of the big issue at once. Maybe there will be some competition among the shipwrights as they are looking to sell their stuff own stuff.

Quite a bit of people turned up, some minor shipwrights and some well-known ones being represented. Some key ones of note would be Kuat Drive Yards, represented by a blond-haired female noblewoman Oshaa Trenze. Rendili Hyperworks would represented by the human male Eben Ryser. Domel-Berger was presented by the Selonian male by the name of Kaz. Lastly New Alderaan Royal Engineers would have Holtonn Galleneam, a Green Nikto.

These businesses already do a varying degree of business with FWA worlds, so if the Prime Minister is looking to build a fleet for the greater FWA, these merchants are probably very inclined to do even more business and make more profit.

"How many meetings have I been in lately?" The answer was too many, but the Republic wasn't founded in a day, as they used to say. The Free Worlds' military couldn't just be popped into existence so easily either, but steps forward were steps forward.

"Thank you all for attending today," Korre called out from her seat at one end of the rectangular conference room table. Hopefully, at least two of them would be willing to take her commission. It would be more difficult for the Sith to attempt to sabotage things if there were multiple targets. "Since you are all aware of why we are meeting today, I won't bother you with too much fluff. The Free Worlds' military will consist partially of fleets volunteered by their sectors, but we will need more than just that. We need capital ships, cruisers, starfighters—ideally, we would commission those from one or two of you here today."

Well then, time to get started. The Prime Minister laid out her request and it's time to get to it. The merchant representatives did not hesitate to try and see who would get the first word in. "Lets start from the ground up" said Holtonn, the New Alderaan Engineers department. The New Alderaanian nikto would then push some puttons on the terminal in front of him after he would stand up, as he as the floor. "The New Alderaan Royal Engineers would like to offer the 'Stalwart' class starfighter. With having acquired access to raw materials from Simbarc, we can fulfill big orders. The Stalwart is a reliable craft. It's a great all-around fighter. It's decently durable, it hit's hard, can dogfight, can blow up hard targets with proton torpedoes; and it's fast, almost going at interceptor speed with good maneuvering capabilities. Not only that, as we already offer a discount for FWA worlds, we will also offer it for the FWA's own forces. " The New Alderaanian would sit down.

Next up, would be Oshaa Trenze with Kuat. "Kuat Drive Yards presents the Tau-7 Interceptor." an image of that vessel would then pop up. "The Tau 7 can go at speeds even faster than the Stalwart. They thave light shields and no launchers sure. But they tear up enemy starfighters, able to chase them, catch up to them and then shoot them down. They also have Ion Cannons, which can disable small craft with enough shots or ruin their shields. They can secure fighter superiority, and they can serve as very effective scouts."

The Kuati woman would then look at the Nikto "You're the Prime Minister of courseI, but personally won't go all in on the Stalwart if I were you" the Nikto would then respond "I wouldn't go all in on the Tau either. Interceptors tend to be more frail, it can't be your main starfighter. You could purchase some, but the Stalwarts would be best served as your bread and butter.""Roughly, 1/3 or at the very least 1/4 of your starfighters corps are best served with our intercepters." The two would then look at the Prime Minister. In the end, it's her call to make. The merchants

The Prime Minister would be the first to admit that ships and vehicular technology were not her forté, so the Belascan had come prepared. She'd done her research, and a datapad containing her scribbled notes laid before her. Hopefully, with them, she would be able to make a little bit more of an informed decision.

The Nikto from New Alderaan was the first to speak. Truth be told, Korre was much more inclined to commission from a Free Worlds planet as opposed to the New Republic, but she wouldn't rule the latter out. The discount for Free Worlds planets was a nice touch, but her first thought was that keeping commissions within the Free Worlds as much as possible would be good to offset any damage to the economy the war had brought so far. At least, that's what her financial advisors had suggested, but commissioning ships from the New Republic would be beneficial in other ways.

The woman from Kuat proceeded to present their starfighter next, and then the two briefly presented counterarguments against the other's option. Korre was glad it was just that. The last thing she wanted to do was foster anything but straightforward conversation.

Korre nodded when the two finished, then glanced down at her notes. If the Tau-7 was more "frail", then it certainly wouldn't be good to go all-in with the interceptor, as the Nikto had pointed out. The Belascan could see the value in having a diversified corps though.

"I think the Stalwarts would best serve our interests," Korre paused to make eye contact with the woman from Kuat. "but I could see interest in the Tau-7 as well." She scribbled down notes onto her datapad, then raised her head again. "We will take the Stalwart commission, but I will talk to my advisors and we will likely take a small Tau-7 commission as well."

The New Alderaanian was satisfied, it was sensible for the Prime Minister to pick the Stalwart. It's a new generation starfighter. It's a solid ship. With that settled, it's time to move on up the latter in ship classes. "WIth the starfighters settled, lets go into corvettes. Speaking of which" Holtonn would bring up a display of another vessel. "The New Alderaan Royal Engineers is prepared to offer the 'Vigilant' Corvette. It's the fastest corvette on the market, and excels in engaging starfighters and bombers. It's point defenses can ward them off and missile and torpedo attacks. And as with before, the Royal Engineers are offering a discount for doing business with the FWA."

The speaker for Kuat didn't like getting the short end of the stick last time, she won't let that happen again. Pushing some buttons, she wold pull up a read for the Adz class corvette. "While the Vigilant is... cute. While it is good against their fighters, the Empire prefers to let it's capital ships do most the work, in which case they wouldn't be able to scratch the shields of their star destroyers. Which is why the Adz-class would be better. With turbolasers or ion cannons, it's able to inflict some damage to enemy capital ships or their shields. The torpedo launchers are very good at striking hard targets. It's laser cannons aren't so bad for point defense either. The Adz is already in service widely around the galaxy, even with quite a few FWA worlds. You're better off with the Adz being your main corvette."

Next would be Eben Ryser, who represents the venerable shipwright Domel-Berger, presenting his compnay's corvette craft. "if you are looking for hard hitting corvettes, go Domel-Berger. The Bolo-class has the Adz beat. Quad turbolaser turrets, quad ion cannon turrets. Why bother with the Adz?"

The represented of Kuat would then interject. "The Adz class, unlike the Bolo or the Vilgant, has hanger bays, for starfighters, bombers, or shuttles. Not to mention that the Adz is a more well rounded craft with a better class hyperdrive."

With the argument made, the three would turn to the Prime Minister.

Korre listened carefully. Though her bias remained with the Free Worlds' manufacturer, it seemed that Kuat had them beat this time. The Vilgilant's speed was tempting, but not against the ability of the Adz- or Bolo-class ships' abilities to hit hard. Between the two latter, hanger space was tempting as well.

"Being able to confront Sith capital ships is essential, as is hanger space. The Adz-class seems like the best fit here." Korre scribbled down the name, then looked back up. What would be next?

The Kuati woman smirked as she got one over Domel-Berger and the insufferable New Alderaanian. "I'm honored Prime Minister" she would clear her throat "Now it's time for the next step up. Frigates. Kuat Drive Yards is prepared to offer several options. The Lancer class Frigate is old, but it focuces on an anti-starfighter rearmament. For those snubfighters and bombers, the Lancer can destroy a squadron of those with ease. The Vigil-class Frigate has good punching power vs larger ships with it's dual heavy turbolasers and also has a hanger to deploy starfighters from. The Corona-class has a larger hanger bay and better all around punching power, although it is slow and will need a much larger crew, not to mention more expensive." Can the Free Worlds even field such a crew for just one vessel? Sometimes it's best to go with the more economical choices she thought. "One last thing, we still have some inventory of the Nebulon-B Frigates. These ships have served the Rebel Alliance very well." she stopped. "Of course, you don't have to pick just one, you can pick as many of each as you want" The Kuati woman would look around, not seeing anyone else stepping to the plate. Now that they are onto frigates, they are getting into 'big boy' territory, Kuat Drive Yards specializes in 'big boy' ships above all.

It would see like no one else would answer, but then a Sullustian would stand up. "Hello there Ms. Prime Minister. I represent SoroSuub Corporation. We would like to put up the Quasar Fire-class. It's the best carrier of it's size, bar none." the technical details will show all. "Those starfighters you've been eying? These can carry almost fifty of them." That's a few squadrons by itself. Back to the Prime Minister

Kuat had a lot of good options. From conversations earlier, the Empire seems to prefer to let their bigger ships do most of the work, so the Lancer-class Frigate didn’t seem necessary. On the other hand, the Corona-class had good firepower, but the crew needed was considerable. That left the Vigil-class Frigate and the Nebulon-B Frigates. The latter of the two, again, required a hefty crew.

Korre had been just about to make a decision when the representative voiced another option: the Quasar Fire-class. Though ill-armed, it possessed considerable storage for starfighters. The Sullustan’s offer was tempting, but Korre was worried when she recalled their precarious placement in between Sith and ISC space.

”We will take the Vigil-class Frigate, and a smaller commission of the Quasar Fire-class.” Perhaps she could initiate talks with Sullustan leaders later on to discuss their allegiance.

The Kuati representative was pleased. She can already see even more credits flowing into the powerhouse that is Kuat Drive Yards. 'Thank you again madam. Now we will go into Cruisers, that will be the main workhorses of your fleet. Once again, Kuat has several options prepared. The Boardside Crusier, which specializing in firing massess of missiles towards the enemy, can fire at long range, serving as space artillery. They are good supporting units. Perhaps, you'll want the Victory class Heavy Crusier? They are large, and powerful, but expensive. But I assure you they are well worth it." That is, if she can look past the Victory's resemblance to the old Imperial Star Destroyers, but otherwise they are effective ships.

No one else in the room had anything to offer at the moment, so silence would fill the air. Now it's the Prime Minister's turn.

"The Boardside Crusier will suit our needs."

The meeting should be wrapped up soon. Her commission of Fondor covered most of her large ship needs.

"Thank you all for meeting me here today. I believe we've covered the Free Worlds' needs as of now."

All right then, the Prime Minister seemed to done with sifting through the selection of ships the merchants have. So with that they can move to the last phase of this meeting, the transfer of credits from the FWA to them. Is she able to do that now? Or does she have to discuss with those senators? They are unsure, but all they know is without the credits moving the ships won't either.

A staff member would speak up and all the merchants who have successfully talked Korre into getting their ships would then push buttons on their datapads, calculating a price tag of the items per the number is hips Korre wants. The merchants think that since the FWA is vast, they will need an appropriately large number of ships to cover all that. If they get a large number of ships, that will mean that the successful merchants herw ill get a lot of credits. "Mad'am Prime Minister, now you will be able to make the transactions for the ships now if you wish on their datapads. Or you can wait until later if need be." The merchants would then present their datapads to Korre.

The rest is up to her. One thing is for sure, how did the Free Worlds, a decentralized government get all the credits for this again? They suppose it matters little to them, as long as they get paid.
