Shroud of Darkness is a simple application of Sith magic. While a technique used by most Sith sorcerers, the Shroud spell is popular with Sith assassins, as well.

DESCRIPTION

With the Force, the sorcerer manipulates existing shadows, causing them to multiply and spread until they have killed all light sources in their immediate vicinity. In laymans terms, the Sith sorcerer uses the Force to turn the area immediately around them pitch black. This technique is intrinsically tied to its caster's emotional states. Skilled users of the Shroud can summon darkness unintentionally as their anger builds, so sorcerers are taught to carefully check their emotions and focus their anger to control it.

INCANTATION

Because it is a more simplistic spell, sorcerers can cast it without incantation. A simple hand gesture can summon shadows, the same as if one were using telekinesis or any other Force power. The power can also be summoned in intimidation displays, whenever the caster grows too angry to control the darkness around them.

WEAKNESSES

Because the Shroud of Darkness is mere manipulation of shadows, a simple flash of light can disrupt the user and throw back the darkness.
