Siphoning Dagger
dark side — ritual dagger — unclaimed

Appearance:
The ritual dagger, whose name is carved in the silver blade itself - She Who Takes, is an ancient piece of weaponry. While the blade itself is fairly standard, the handle of the weapon features Death as a skeletal woman, standing with a cloth veiling her head and wrapped around her body. At her feet, a snake slithers toward the blade below where the words 'all belongs to the harbinger of Death' is engraved in ancient ur-Kittât.

Origins:
The dagger was created long before the era of the Consiliul de Sapte, an ancient empire of seven sith lords, but was most famously utilized in the murder of Darth Artis by his apprentice, Darth Avidit. She used the weapon to stab him in his sleep, siphoning the Force from his body and taking it as her own.

Rumors of Location:
Darth Avidit was the last known owner of the ritual dagger, though her final resting place is unknown. The woman took over the criminal empire Darth Artis had built for himself, and though she drove it into the ground, its likely records of her resting place can be found in the underworld somewhere.

Function.
The siphoning dagger takes when the harbinger of death uses the dagger to slay their opponent. In other words, if a force user is killed with this dagger, the killer will be able to absorb a portion of the slain's Force essence.

However, there are some OOC stipulations for this artifact due to the powerful nature of the ability:
(1) The slain force user must be a player character,
(2) The thread or threads written to acquire this artifact must be substantial (i.e. not 10 posts from A to B),
(3) This artifact can be used with consent from the other player or in a death-enabled PvP thread,
(4) In order to siphon the Force from a slain PC, the dagger must be wielded by whoever killed said PC,
(5) The dagger can only be used once per thread.

Kills using this dagger can be used in conjunction to apply for power-level rank-ups. The kills themselves do not automatically increase a PC's power for PvP purposes and the artifact is intended to be used predominantly for storytelling and thematic reasons.

Intent:
To create a more powerful Force artifact that also ties into my Consiliul de Sapte lore that I have been neglecting.
