Canto Bight was a place rife with corruption. A perfect place for the Darth to do business.

She was in an expensive dress, once again projecting the facade of a wealthy woman from Serenno. The man she was doing business with knew she was Sith however, but few beyond him did. It was an... unimportant detail insofar as the deal went.

The Darth was outside the luxury hotel, tucked away in a nearby alleyway. She'd taken a detour to 'talk' with someone who'd been hired to kill her contact. She really didn't care about her contact, but if the hit was placed because he was meeting with her she wanted to know. Plus it'd be... annoying if the man died before they sealed their deal too, so if there was more than one assassin she wanted to know that too.

The would-be assassin was on his knees in front of Demolly, grasping at his throat and choking. She'd wrapped the Force around the man's neck and was standing over him. Her senses were out in case another assassin was in the area, but she spoke casually, "Are you going to talk, or am I going to rip what I want out of your head?" If she had to rip it out, so be it, but it'd be less work if the man talked.

At least the weather was pleasant, but the folks that stayed on Canto were a piece of work. It was certainly a different crowd that those on Nar Shaddaa and underworlds of Corellia and Coruscant. There were similarities, such as the selfishness of beings and the need for self-preservation in a galaxy too big to care about an individual's woes.

Lyra managed to overcharge on some jobs that needed to be done; nothing too demanding, just enough to make enough to pay for a transport off-world and on to the next one. She counted the credits, enjoying the clinking of the chips before slipping them in her pocket. A relief washed over her to know she could move again. It would only be a matter of time that local authorities would question the kid, run a scan, and find out she is a missing persons.

A smile crossed her lips, but the warmth she felt from her accomplishment was quickly drained from her body. It was replaced with piercing chill and her steps slowed until she stopped in front of an alley. As soon as she processed what she was witnessing, the girl pulled out her blaster, seeing the distress experienced by the man in front of the woman. She wasn't too concern about what they were doing prior, but he was choking and something told her the expressionless fashionista had something to do with this.

"Hey! Stop it! What are you doing to him?!" she demanded.
