Sith Antagonism?

I'm a little confused as to how open or how much hatred there is between the two Sith factions, IC. I'm seeing mission posts where they seem to be intended to team up, characters or NPCs who work together, etc. I was under the impression from my (admittedly limited) reading they were very much not friendly with each other in a sort of civil war. Is there a synopsis somewhere or can someone elaborate?

So far what I know for sure is: They are colour coded differently, one has a leader by bloodline and one by conquest, and one sits on Coruscant while the other sits on Korriban.

So, There is a civil war and their ideology’s clash. But there is a clamor to unite the two Sith Empires under Vrael since the Corscant palace got nuked, their Empress is dead (she got killed by Darth Vrael after she spat on tradition in a Kaggath between the two)She has no replacement, so things went downhill for the IR and the OE is working on unification.

My IR Sith supports unification because of how bleak things seem for the IR

I just gotta figure out which faction to apply the dude for, the rest is pretty much written as an outline. Thus my research. Think I'm leaning OE.

That would be an advantage to create a OE member, as it would save you time. As far as i see, the IR is dead, and unification is really close, save you the trouble of having to switch factions at the edge of a blade.

Yeah... "Currently Getting Stomped" is a fairly big con to joining the IR. Plus I think the character's history and mannerisms lean more OE than Deadly Decadent Court. Welp, back to writing. Thanks dudes.
