The Mandalorian's movements just before he was struck altered where the lightning hit first but the result would be similar enough. Severe and debilitating electrical burns would spread outwards from the shoulder instead of the torso. He seemed stunned and thrown-about enough for the time being and Stolas had other things to handle. Flames burst and then extinguished under the Alex's influence, a maneuver to protect her comrades even as she'd resisted the Sith's push. An admirable decision that Stolas didn't bother fighting against as the fire went out.

@Soren Rel moved to chase Vizim in the wake of the flame, apparently ignoring the Darth approaching both Jedi. An irate snarl erupted from behind the mask as Morgan's hand immediately flicked to telekinetically launch the man back toward where he'd fought Raksis. He'd be flung before he could get any further distance or pull Vizim, intended to keep him distracted for a couple seconds. His hand returned by his waist in the same motion, gaze still focused on the gently smoldering Vahn.

@Vahn Berand charged in bravely, Stolas' left foot stopping forward in his advance. His guard was side-face with his pointed vertically forty-five degrees forward toward Vahn on his approach, right hand open and still by his waist. Morgan maintained patience and poise. It was when @Vahn was close, beginning his two-handed strike and stepping in, that the Sith acted himself and crimson twisted up to clash with azure.

The Darth's feet switched positions with rapid footwork, right foot taking a step diagonally right and forward to pivot counterclockwise, left turning with him a half-step back to maintain stance and balance. He twisted his waist powerfully, the shoulder target shifting off line with the rest of him. His blade turned and angled diagonally to parry Vahn's middle blade leftwards with the lower third of his own, using Vahn's momentum to bind the lightsabers together and keep the Jedi's weapon off to the side.

Simultaneously with Vahn's strike and his own parry, Morgan's right hand pulled another lightsaber from his belt and ignited it into a swift draw cut. Crimson plasma
snap-hissed into existence beneath the Jedi's arms and struck upwards in a sharp, left-to-right diagonal arc to burn through Vahn's right elbow and left mid-forearm. The cut would terminate by snapping back into a vertical, forty-five degree forward guard by his waist.

Stolas' movement would also put Vahn between the Darth and the presently stunned Mandalorian.

Bir watched the encounter between Xeno and Yvain with glee, finally able to release his grasp on the Jedi as both fell to the ground with injuries that would force them to return home. They had fought well but in the end, the odds were in the favor of the Sith. First this small skirmish, next the battle as a whole. Scanning the wreckage for where Yvain had landed, Bir snarled as he realised he could not be found. One advantage of being so small in stature was that if you did not wish to be found, hiding was only too easy. Yvain would escape with his life, it seemed. A pity, Bir thought, as he was only too thrilled at the opportunity to speak with the man once he was behind a ray shield or dying at his feet. Perhaps one day…

“Bir! Forget the Jedi! Help Lord Stolas! I’ll be fine!” Xeno bellowed from the opposite direction, causing Bir a small chuckle as he opened his arms and lowered his head slightly.

”You don’t look so fine to me! A shame he had not managed to cut your face! It would have been an improvement!” Bir cackled at his jestful taunt, though one only he likely found humorous. The Dathomirian was right, however. Xeno was en route to aide Stolas in his attack on the Command Center and with him out of the fight, it seemed it was up to Bir to be his reinforcements rather than focusing on his own minor objective. Taking the command center was priority. With Xeno’s speeder out of commission and half a kilometer between Bir and the Council member, a new option was needed to close the distance at a decent pace.

”Captain! Assist in getting my dear friend out of here, would you?”

“Right away, Commander,”

With that, Bir located another speeder a short distance away. Minor dents to the surface from falling debris were visible but it appeared functional. Sliding himself into the driver’s seat of the craft, the Kel Dor closed his eyes and hovered his hand over the activation cylinder, turning the tumblers in his mind until the engine began to purr with life. Wasting no time, his foot pushed the pedal to the floor and he was off. The time he would spend travelling would allow him to rest and prepare for the next battle he was destined to face.

The sounds of battle had moved on from Bir’s position but in the distance, cannon fire rained in all directions around the Command Center. Darkness shrouded the air as smoke billowed up from the countless fires. Chaos was rising and Bir was only too eager to meet it.

Vizim continued to close on the Jedi Master (@Valen Pelora) quickly. He saw the Jedi Knight (@Raydo) trying to make his way toward the hunter, but Stolas seemed to be atop that. In the unlikely event that the Knight got his attack off, Vizim was prepared to counter it, but it seemed unlikely at this point. His pistol slipped into its holster and his gaze settled on the Jedi Master.

The hunter leapt at the Jedi, his saber flashing up quickly from his own low left to upper right at the Jedi Master, hoping to knock the saber out of her semi-stunned right arm with the impact of the blow and slam into her body as a result.

She could not help them all. Alex was not a mythical savior. For a fraction of a second, she prayed for Soren and Vahn but they were Knights of the Jedi Order. They knew the path they walked. She trusted her fellow Jedi and they would stand tall against Stolas. Her mind was focused on the advancing Sith (@Phoenix). He was getting closer. He was fast as he jumped. But not quite fast enough.

Alex was still bristling with the Force, her mind deep in the elements. The wind itself rushed forth. Not the Force, the wind. It ripped upward at Vizim’s ankles speaking to topple him head over rear before he reached Alex. She quickly stepped to the side, bringing her own blade down right to left to bisect the Sith as he soared past. Regardless, she would no longer be where he swung, and is he righted himself in the air would hopefully crash momentarily against the wall.

As he ran, the Force nudged at him the instant before he flung to the side. He disengaged his lightsaber and rolled as he was thrown, taking several cuts and bruises from the road and debris of the battlefield but jumped back up to his feet as his momentum died off.

Blocked from Vizim, He ignited his saber as he came to his feet and moved towards Stolas, moving around out of reach of Vahn towards Stolas' backside. He swiped with his blade at Stolas' right leg.

Pain. Vraes had become well accustomed to that throughout his life. He bore mainly carvings over tattoos, having held the blade himself to show his devotion to the gods. His gauntlet scraped along the ground and as he tried to move the dislocated limb, the one he couldn't tell was repaired or not, he'd feel the scrape of bone on bone as it ground in a place it should not be.

Vraes growled as he rolled onto his side, hand grabbing the bicep of the dislocated arm. "Here we go.." he grit his teeth as he lifted, then rotated the limb a few degrees and cursed as he applied some force and popped the shoulder back into his socket.

Alert to his surroundings, the Mandalorian would begin to roll onto his hands and knees. For now, he was behind a type of cover. Grabbing his axe, he would press the butt of the haft into the ground and use it to push himself to his feet. After a few seconds, he would fire a wrist blaster shot at the exposed side of @Vizim as he attacked Master Voran.

Stolas’ sudden defense did not surprise Vahn. The skill of the Sith Councilor was well known, so when his azure saber met the Sith’s red blade Vahn was quick to move. Stolas’ defensive action would turn his blade towards his right as the Dark Sider bound in with authority. Vahn would quickly move in two ways. His left hand would shoot down to seize the Councilor about the forearm, arresting the movement of the second saber before it could disarm him in such a visceral fashion. At the same time, his saber-hand would relent under Stolas’ binding pressure, dropping slightly and rotating, to twist the blade under Stolas’ as the two sabers snarled in defiance of each other. He would then push up, keeping the tip of the Sith’s saber up and away for a precious moment This turning motion would move the point of contact of the two sabers such that the lower third of his blade was pushing up under the upper half of the hissing red blade.

Simultaneously Vahn would maintain his momentum, stepping forward at an angle right into the radius of the Councilor’s own movement. He would square his shoulders, drop his head slightly and turn directly in against the Councilor, stepping into an attempt to roughly shoulder-check him while seeking to keep a firm grip on Stolas’ right arm.

Achieving this action, and provided he had pushed Stolas’ saber upwards Vahn would then drop the weight of his saber low in an attempt to strike the Sith Councilor hard with the pommel of his lightsaber about the clavicle while maintaining blade contact.

Vizim felt the gust pull up at his feet as he closed. It wasn't telekinetic, which made it a much more difficult technique to defend against. He could feel his legs being pulled out from under him, but rather than resist it, he went with it. Free climbing and running as well as saber duels were integral to who he was as a hunter, and the first thing you learned in there was how to fall.

It was perhaps not quite "graceful" but it was about as graceful as it could be. He tucked his left shoulder in and turned the fall into a roll. He could feel the impact reverberate through his shoulder, but it didn't slow him down.

Rolling into his left shoulder meant that his saber never came close to cutting him, and he continued the momentum into a low crouch again in an instant. The momentum of the roll meant that he had plenty of power as his saber whipped around, striking against the Jedi's downward slash in a dramatic shower of sparks to keep it from cleaving him in two.

With his feet under him, he pushed off hard, using the power and momentum to continue past her (@Valen Pelora). The quick movement served as a dodge as well which meant that the shot from the wrist blaster soared past him at where he had just been a moment ago (@Rhogar).

Now, the Jedi Master was between himself and the Mandalorian to prevent another shot. With his saber still in contact with hers and binding it in place if even for a moment, he lashed out with his left arm to land a closed fist to the kidney where he was more likely to make contact and very unlikely to lose an arm.

As Bir pushed the speeder through the wreckage of the battle, countless bodies of both sides of the conflict littering the suspended walkways, he could see the Command Center coming into view. The sounds of battle echoed in the distance but even so, it was not hard to pick out the blades of Jedi and Sith engaging one another at the heart of the invasion. It was soon entirely evident that Stolas and a man unknown to Bir were going head to head against uneven odds, much as Xeno had believed.

Twisting his hold on the handle bar accelerator to push the speeder to its fullest, Bir began to lift himself from the seat as he careened towards the conflict. Pointing the vehicle's trajectory to the Mandalorian that was picking himself up from the ground, the Acolyte knew that targeting the injured member of a pack was almost always the best way forward if they wanted to thin the enemies numbers. Approximately ten meters before he would pass by Stolas’ left, the Kel Dor released the handles and jumped backwards. The speeder would continue on it’s path for the warrior (@Rhogar ) as Bir tumbled to the ground, allowing his connection with the Force to at least slow his fall and prevent him from any significant damage but merely scrapes and bruising. He wasted no time in getting himself to his feet and brandishing his weapon as he prepared to join the battle.

Stolas had two opponents to directly engage and was aware of and tracking both. Soren had been prevented from chasing Vizim and would take a little bit to get into the melee, although his wide and ordinary approach was also the safest option. Vahn moved swiftly to prevent the loss of his arms and should notice the inhuman strength within the otherwise svelte Darth's limb, the Darth's lightsaber stopping between them beneath where his target had been.

Morgan's reaction to being grabbed was instantaneous and visceral, a vicious and snarling growl rumbling through the air between the two combatants. The spike in fury was as palpable through the Force as audibly, the Dark Side greatly enhancing his physical power during his burst of movement.

Vahn's saber twisted under Stolas' left and it followed, pressing forward and down to lock the two blades' lower halves together between both combatants, preventing the push upward or pommel strike but also keeping himself from striking downward with it.

Immediately upon being grabbed Morgan's right arm abruptly rolled clockwise, yanking forward, right, and down against Vahn's grasping thumb, wrist angling his blade toward the Jedi. With enhanced strength and unbound wrist movement, a mix of mechanical and power advantage in a split second, this would both break the hold and send crimson plasma burning through Vahn's waist to bisect him as the Jedi stepped in and threw his weight directly into it.

At the same time he pivoted clockwise on his left foot with his right leg flung back past it away from Soren's leg swipe, Vahn's check impacting Morgan's right shoulder instead of his chest. The Sith's right arm turned with him, blade continuing its rightward motion downwards with wrist angling it diagonally down to bite through Soren's saber arm while the Jedi swung. Cutting at a leg required he drop down his guard and that left him open to concurrent countercut.

Morgan's movement would leave him diagonally off to Vahn's right with both Jedi before him, stance once again swapped to left-face. His right-hand blade would twist back into guard pointed in Soren's direction, left lightsaber still between himself and Vahn. Black pants over Morgan's right thigh trailed wisps of smoke from a smoldering cut, the very end of Soren's lightsaber having clipped flesh during his retreat.

The Light outshone the Dark. Alex's strength in the Force was beyond the Sith…but he skilled with a blade. It was an undeniable truth the moment he sailed past and managed to right himself. The Jedi Master faced no novice. Her indigo blade slammed against the red, sparks exploding between them. No more fancy Force maneuvers or dramatic hand waves. This was a proper duel…noa proper brawl. Alex was forced between Vraes and Vizim. Her mind shoved at Vraes. (@Rhogar) She would handle this, he needed to deal with any others. Her mind spared no moment for Vahn or Soren.

Alex’s blade remained locked with the Sith. She pushed against it, keeping them mushed together, the two sabers binding. The punch came and she let it flow in. Her own left hand striking out in a mirror of the Sith. Their blades stuck, her fist flying towards his kidney, his fist fly towards hers. Alex’ abdomen was covered in armorplast which meant the shot to her kidney hurt and threatened to drive the breath from her lungs, but she endured. She could already feel the large bruise forming. Her own fist traveled towards Vizim’s kidney, seeking to strike it at the same moment. The wind found her again, pushing her fist forward to aid her strength. She kept pushing on their blades ensuring they remained locked.

Soren's blade singed their opponent's cloth and skin as it continued past, catching the Sith Lord's counter-attack against Soren. Before the saber lock continued, It was broken by Stolas as he danced away.

As Vahn pressed in further, Soren circled to the opposite side of Vahn and thrust his blade toward the Sith Lords' side.

Vahn was a terrible Jedi. He wasn’t a healer, not really. He was a poor teacher. He didn’t have the mastery of the Force that his allies like Alex had, or the wisdom and restraint of Rishe. Nor did he have the elegance and poise of Sevrin. Vahn was brash, impulsive, short sighted, unrefined, and barely had his emotions under control. Even now they flared strongly, a palpable emanation through the force. One didn’t need to see the expression set on his face to feel his fury, his defiance in this moment burning hot like a beacon.

There was one thing he was good at, that he was really good at in fact. He was a fighter. He knew how to fight, and how to struggle against the odds. Sometimes he even won. Stolas had brought war to Taris, the very planet that Vahn had learned these lessons as a child. He was as surprised as anyone to find that he had raced back home the moment he had learned of the attack. This was a bad planet. A planet built on injustice and exploitation, rotting with centuries of corruption festering cancerous at the very core of its society. But it was also full of good people; people just trying to survive down in the Lower City. People who he would never have survived without. Vahn had drawn a line in the sand and was saying, to one of the most powerful beings in the galaxy, “No Further.”

Vahn had indeed noticed the surprising strength in that moment of contact. He also knew the follow up attack was coming, and he had scarce moments to react. He needed to extend his time, even just by a fraction of a second. The arrested cut, and then the sudden change in direction from high to lower gave him a hair’s breadth moment, but he needed more. He couldn’t match the Councilor’s force enhanced strength, not in this situation, not acting in the wake of the Councilor’s own Power. So he made no attempt. Even as Stolas was wrenching his hand clear Vahn’s rear foot pressed against the ground, allowing him to gather distance towards the outer radius of the Sith’s attack towards the outside of his arm close to his shoulder.

Instead of resisting the sudden wrenching motion of Stolas' arm, Vahn simply pushed off, giving himself the lateral momentum to sidestep out of the arc of the crimson saber. He drew swiftly on the Force, enhancing his speed for a flicker of a moment to grant himself the needed distance to void the attack. Or, at least that was the plan. The Councilor was fast; very fast so even though Vahn was able to frustrate the attack, and largely maneuver out of the way of the attack he felt a sudden searing pain in his thigh as the crimson saber clipped through, leaving a smoldering furrow along his leg. He limped for a moment as he adjusted his balance, grimacing in pain as the saber had dug into the meaty portion of his right thigh. It hurt less than he thought it would; likely subsumed under the layers of adrenaline and the power of the Force flowing through him. He could still fight. He could still do it job, that's what mattered. But still, he could feel it, he could feel the burning touch of the saber even as it turned away and Stolas moved to disengage.

Vahn couldn't allow this. He had been able to preserve some of the distance he had gained on the Councilor, and even with the noticable limp he carried he set his saber forward, moving to stay within saber range with his blade held in two hands low towards his waist with the blade pointed forward towards the Sith's chest and throat, threatening with the tip.

The wrist blaster bolt had at least done its secondary duty, it had kept Viz on defense enough to only lash out with a jab. Surely Master Voran could handle that and then some. Then the Mandalorian felt the gentle nudge in his head from the Jedi, an eerie feeling for the warrior, despite the warmth that accompanied. The sound of a speeder quickly pulled him from his thoughts, as well as the movement from his peripherals. There were more Sith to fight, and this one seemed to think a speeder would do the trick.

Feet planted on the ground, Vraes would jump, his boots propelling him over the decelerating speeder which would make no shortage of loud and abrasive scraping sounds as it dragged along the surface. His landing would bring him within a few meters of the new arrival ( @Bir Vuul ), taking advantage of the Siths fresh recovery. His axe would swing horizontally from Vraes' right to left at abdominal height.

His grip on his right hand would be loose, ready to redirect his axe for a quick defense. These first swings would be merely to test the skill of his opponent.

Bir watched as the Mandalorian soared through the air towards him, opting to wait rather than engage him as he flew. Seeing a member of the warrior race lending aid to the Jedi Order, their sworn enemies, was something that surprised the Kel Dor a good deal but it was of little concern. The Mando’ade had made his choice. Bir had made his. Now they would settle this difference of opinion.

As Vraes touched down, the smell of burnt flesh seeping from beneath the plates of his armour, Bir shifted his weight to his left foot and prepared himself as the warrior brought his axe in his horizontal attack. There was a few meters between them however, and even with the added length of the man’s arm and the length of his weapon, the attack would just be short of his intended target. Bir would still pull his stomach back to ensure the attack missed before bringing his saber downwards to meet the top-most portion of the durasteel shaft, just below the axe head, as the axe passed beyond the apex of it’s swing

Saber would meet durasteel and cleave through it with ease while Bir’s left hand would pull back, pooling the Force within before coiling it’s energies around the Mando’s right arm and begin tugging him to the ground while he remained the same few meters away he was when he landed.

Blow for blow she matched him. There were some battles where you played to your strengths and some battles where you played to your opponent's weaknesses. This was the latter. The woman was stronger in the Force than he was, but perhaps he was a better duelist, but she was injured at least to some extent, and that was his means of evening the fight.

Still, injured or not, she was a Jedi, and he had to respect that. It was probably why she still hit like a truck.

He twisted slightly and her fist rammed into the side of his tensed stomach and sent him stumbling backwards, the pressure of their blades still in contact as he pulled slightly away.

He found himself coughing from the blow, but was yet unrelenting against his quarry. His own empty hand shot down to catch hers by the wrist, yanking her toward him and off balance before bringing his head down to slam his forehead into her nose in an attempt to break it. With their blades still in bind and at this close of range, either of them would struggle to get their sabers into a cutting position, leaving him safe from retaliation from her saber.

Vahn's quick reaction left him only with a smoking rent in his right thigh rather than in two halves, his quick and stubborn defiance leaving him alive but limping. While he recovered the other Jedi moved again to change to a more favourable position, but it's not as if Stolas was simply going to allow himself to be flanked. He knew Vahn would have trouble chasing on an injured lead leg.

"You guard these nobles?" Stolas spoke wryly.

Soren moved to circle around toward Morgan's right and the Sith's right-hand blade's tip continued to point straight at his chest. Vahn adjusted his balance, moving to keep in range with a new stance. Morgan immediately pushed off his lead left foot to fade back and switch lead sides from left to right to avoid Vahn's reach. His left hand diagonal guard still faced toward him at waist level in one-handed mirror of the Jedi's own. Two fingers pointing toward the Jedi to throw a simple telekinetic push meant to blow him back and away while Morgan maneuvered. With the Jedi's weight unevenly distributed toward his back foot he may be more poorly grounded against it than usual.

"And torture your prisoners?" He mocked the supposed 'Knights'.

Morgan darted right and back with swift and balanced steps further away from Vahn to circle around toward Soren's left, intending to force the wounded Jedi to move around his companion before striking at him and keeping both Jedi in view. His right side would face Soren as he repositioned, left foot back. Soren moved in to thrust directly through the Sith's guard and a growl rumbled through the air from behind his dark visor.

"Such hypocrisy." It was merely truth.

Stolas' right-hand blade extended forward, leading with the hilt to parry the thrust leftwards using its lower half against Soren's upper half to knock it to the Sith's left and down, away from the Jedi's center line. His riposte manifested as part of the parry's motion, deflecting off it into a sharp forward-and-back thrust to pierce through the Jedi's right pectoral into his lung.

For forty odd years, Alexandria Voran thought of herself as a tactful diplomat. She solved her problems with words and where words failed, she never resorted to violence. She was a healer and scholar. An ideal of what the Jedi could be. These last few years had changed her. The scholar was still there but hidden behind the street fighter who traded body blows with the Sith.

The wrist grab nearly caught her by surprise. Luckily, the Force was still ever her ally...filling every inch of her body. As she was pulled forward, she managed to regain her balance just in time to slightly reorient. Instead of hammering her nose, the Sith’s forehead crashed into the side of her check. Alex felt skin cut into her teeth, blood pooling in her mouth, teeth cracking.

When Vizim slammed his head forward she would bring her left knee swiftly up, aiming at slam her knee into the side of his right knee, seeking to push it inward to tear muscle and tendon from bone. She spat the pooled blood out of the side of her mouth. Their saber remained locked as the Force user return to a less civilized form of combat.

Vraes had nearly two decades of combat experience over the young Kel Dor, and he was about to learn the proof of that. Every action had a reason and as the Kel Dor sucked his midsection back, his swing waiting for the exposed axe head, Vraes would smile beneath his helm as he tilted the butt of the axe upwards, angling the head of the axe down at an angle. There was a faint hum, hardly audible over the sounds of battle before the axe fired a repulsor burst at the Siths lower midsection to upper legs at point-blank range. An impact at this range could cause him to topple.

The loose grip of the right hand would release as the right bracer lifted to catch the saber, the beskar holding firm against the crimson blade, and the warriors side and strength would easily match the added weight behind the strike. His left arm would then swing up with the second side of the axe activating, with the head of the axe pressing against Bir's elbow, and forming a pincer around the Sith's saber arm.

Growling, the Mandalorian would shift his weight, twisting the axe on the arm to either sever or break the limb at the joint, while the bracer guided the crimson blade to the side. Free of the blade, the right hand would reach for Bir's wrist and try to redirect the blade back into the midsection of the Sith, using his control of the arm and his own weight and strength to help.

Vahn was silent. He knew enough by now that giving the Sith anything was inviting ruin. Give them nothing. The Sith knew nothing of why he was here. He would likely, could likely never understand. He wasn’t here for the Oligarchs and aristocrats of the upper city. Vahn was here for the people below, the good, common people just trying to survive many levels below them. Someone needed to be here, someone needed to be fighting for them.

Vahn saw Stolas’ gesture, that raised hand could only mean a few things and none of them were good. He quickly put his own hands up, and drew on the Force. A barrier of telekinetic force coalesced in front of him to work as a buffer against the Councilor’s attack. The two waves of power clashed, scattering dust and debris before the Jedi. If he had more time, and better footing, Vahn might have been able to hold firm but the barrier shattered under the Sith’s pressure, sending the Jedi stumbling back a few steps. Thankfully, he had been able to defend against the worst of the attack but the pain of being pushed back, with his feet switching dominance was visible on his face. He grimaced, hissing in pain briefly before he was able to calm himself. The combination of adrenaline and the invigoration of the Force kept the pain of the wound largely at bay, but it still throbbed and pulsed through, burning his senses.

Vahn rolled the saber in his grasp as he moved, cutting a path around Soren to try and re-engage with the Sith Councilor. While too late to try and interrupt the Councilor’s exchange with Soren, he advanced towards Stolas’ left side, staying just within measure. He made sure to pass around Soren's right side keeping a safe distance between himself and the other Jedi. Then his right arm quickly snapped forward, the same side foot stepping forward as he twisted into the attack and cut from high about his left shoulder, blue saber flashing in an arc downwards to where it would be able to shear through the councilor’s right saber arm just above the elbow, and then at an angle down into his body. The Knight's blade would terminate at a central position, maintaining his guard and distance in that moment. He kept his left hand low, gripping the second saber at his belt as needed.
