The Kissai were known to be similarly as ruthless as their Massassi counterparts but were considered more intelligent, cynical, and observational. They also lacked the raw physical advantages that Massassi possessed.

Early civilisation
In the infancy of the Sith civilisation on Korriban, the Sith led barbaric and hedonistic lives using the dark side of the Force. They had a natural symbiotic relationship with the dark side from the outset, feeding on it, empowering it, developing and perfecting techniques such as sorcery.
The Sith had great power, but they had no unity. They lived in tribal "circles" led by one or more sorcerers responsible for the safety and protection of their people. They were perpetually embroiled in a never-ending war, but they treated this way of life as one on par with peace and serenity. They didn't—or couldn't—differentiate one state from the other, and this, including myriad other barbaric practices, was accepted not as antagonistic or harmful but integral to their lifestyle. They saw these practices as their only way to live.
During this time, the Sith recorded information in scrolls, tomes, and tablets. Those tablets contained dark knowledge, such as writings and illustrations that described the powers of the dark side, alchemy, the construction of Sith weapons and artefacts, and treatises on the domination and destruction of others. However, many of these ancient scriptures were imbued with the madness of the Sith who scribed them, making the knowledge capable of driving unprepared practitioners into the depths of their powers by this era. The rage and revenge that led to the dark side of the Force.
Unification
Civil war amidst the Sith continued for many thousands of years until the rise of Adas, who successfully brought all Sith nations to heel and under the united banner of his rule. Adas was raised as a chosen being due to his obsidian-coloured skin, growing into a powerful being who demonstrated great martial prowess and intellectual capabilities. Adas was also possessed of an extreme affinity for Sith sorcery, forging his massive battle axe through the use of alchemy.
Although it was with significant bloodshed, Adas united the disparate nations of Korriban into a single kingdom. As his reign continued, he became the inflexible, undisputed leader of the Sith, evolving into a figure akin to a king and a God. Eventually, Adas earned the title of Overlord and was bestowed the title of Sith'ari, the perfect being. The people came to believe that Adas's reign would be eternal and that Adas himself was immortal.
During his rule spanning nearly 300 years, one of the human exiles who found their way to Korriban challenged Adas to single combat. During this duel, Adas was slain by the exile, a woman named Andraste, and she assumed the throne as the Empress of the Sith. In the years to come, Andraste passed down her name, title, and very identity to her followers, and the exiles followed her example. Andraste became the first Sith of the modern Sith Empire and passed it on to her followers, giving them an identity they had longed to attain for years.
Disintegration
Under Andraste's rule, the Sith civilisation became the backbone of the newly formed Sith Empire, and Andraste utilised them to facilitate aggressive expansion to other planets. The Sith eventually grew into one of the largest known empires in the galaxy, with entire space sectors swearing fealty to them. Other planets would produce food and people in abundance to bolster their ranks, while others would provide ships in excess for them to continue their galaxy-spanning conquest.
However, such an expansive empire required immense demand for materials and sustenance. Eventually, the Empire grew to such a vast size that it needed entire planets to sustain it, and before long, those demands exceeded supply. During a lull in the galaxy's life, rebellions sprung up on various planets, demanding better working conditions, food, water, and credits. The Empire began to collapse on itself and, with it, the Sith people.
During this time, two powerful Sith Lords—Naga Sadow and arch-rival Ludo Kressh—rose from their seats on the Sith Council to fight to become the next in line to lead the Sith people. Kressh, following the old, traditional ways of the Sith, believed they must grow strong within themselves and remain to assist the Empire. In stark contrast, Sadow thought that the Sith's "Golden Age in the Empire" had made them stagnant and needed to separate from the Empire to re-establish themselves as an independent civilisation, creating a new empire of their own.
Kressh had the support from most other Sith to become the Dark Lord, while Sadow controlled most of the Sith's military forces. Together, they could have been powerful, but there could only be one Dark Lord of the Sith.
Civil war erupted. As the battle raged, there was never a decisive victor, with both sides injuring or dominating the other at various points. The war, however, resulted in the Sith essentially annihilating themselves and their civilisation. Sith Lords perished, artefacts, talismans, and strongholds were destroyed, and the forces and number of the Sith dwindled to such drastically low numbers that there was no conceivable way for them to recover from the damage they inflicted upon themselves fully.
Aftermath
Following the civil war that left the Sith and their civilisation in ruins, many Sith decided to live in isolation from the greater galactic society. Some others sought revenge against one another for the acts committed against them by the opposite side during the civil war, and others still chose to find their way to and join the new Sith Order left in the wake of the Empire's collapse.
The Sith race and society almost seemed to disappear, vanishing to become part of history. By and large, the galaxy considered their species and culture extinct. However, many Sith—Purebloods and hybrids alike—were still alive and well in the universe.

In the infancy of the Sith civilisation on Korriban, the Sith led barbaric and hedonistic lives using the dark side of the Force. They had a natural symbiotic relationship with the dark side from the outset, feeding on it, empowering it, developing and perfecting techniques such as sorcery.
The Sith had great power, but they had no unity. They lived in tribal "circles" led by one or more sorcerers responsible for the safety and protection of their people. They were perpetually embroiled in a never-ending war, but they treated this way of life as one on par with peace and serenity. They didn't—or couldn't—differentiate one state from the other, and this, including myriad other barbaric practices, was accepted not as antagonistic or harmful but integral to their lifestyle. They saw these practices as their only way to live.
During this time, the Sith recorded information in scrolls, tomes, and tablets. Those tablets contained dark knowledge, such as writings and illustrations that described the powers of the dark side, alchemy, the construction of Sith weapons and artefacts, and treatises on the domination and destruction of others. However, many of these ancient scriptures were imbued with the madness of the Sith who scribed them, making the knowledge capable of driving unprepared practitioners into the depths of their powers by this era. The rage and revenge that led to the dark side of the Force.
Unification
Although it was with significant bloodshed, Adas united the disparate nations of Korriban into a single kingdom. As his reign continued, he became the inflexible, undisputed leader of the Sith, evolving into a figure akin to a king and a God. Eventually, Adas earned the title of Overlord and was bestowed the title of Sith'ari, the perfect being. The people came to believe that Adas's reign would be eternal and that Adas himself was immortal.
During his rule spanning nearly 300 years, one of the human exiles who found their way to Korriban challenged Adas to single combat. During this duel, Adas was slain by the exile, a woman named Andraste, and she assumed the throne as the Empress of the Sith. In the years to come, Andraste passed down her name, title, and very identity to her followers, and the exiles followed her example. Andraste became the first Sith of the modern Sith Empire and passed it on to her followers, giving them an identity they had longed to attain for years.
Disintegration
Under Andraste's rule, the Sith civilisation became the backbone of the newly formed Sith Empire, and Andraste utilised them to facilitate aggressive expansion to other planets. The Sith eventually grew into one of the largest known empires in the galaxy, with entire space sectors swearing fealty to them. Other planets would produce food and people in abundance to bolster their ranks, while others would provide ships in excess for them to continue their galaxy-spanning conquest.
However, such an expansive empire required immense demand for materials and sustenance. Eventually, the Empire grew to such a vast size that it needed entire planets to sustain it, and before long, those demands exceeded supply. During a lull in the galaxy's life, rebellions sprung up on various planets, demanding better working conditions, food, water, and credits. The Empire began to collapse on itself and, with it, the Sith people.
During this time, two powerful Sith Lords—Naga Sadow and arch-rival Ludo Kressh—rose from their seats on the Sith Council to fight to become the next in line to lead the Sith people. Kressh, following the old, traditional ways of the Sith, believed they must grow strong within themselves and remain to assist the Empire. In stark contrast, Sadow thought that the Sith's "Golden Age in the Empire" had made them stagnant and needed to separate from the Empire to re-establish themselves as an independent civilisation, creating a new empire of their own.
Kressh had the support from most other Sith to become the Dark Lord, while Sadow controlled most of the Sith's military forces. Together, they could have been powerful, but there could only be one Dark Lord of the Sith.
Civil war erupted. As the battle raged, there was never a decisive victor, with both sides injuring or dominating the other at various points. The war, however, resulted in the Sith essentially annihilating themselves and their civilisation. Sith Lords perished, artefacts, talismans, and strongholds were destroyed, and the forces and number of the Sith dwindled to such drastically low numbers that there was no conceivable way for them to recover from the damage they inflicted upon themselves fully.
Aftermath
Following the civil war that left the Sith and their civilisation in ruins, many Sith decided to live in isolation from the greater galactic society. Some others sought revenge against one another for the acts committed against them by the opposite side during the civil war, and others still chose to find their way to and join the new Sith Order left in the wake of the Empire's collapse.
The Sith race and society almost seemed to disappear, vanishing to become part of history. By and large, the galaxy considered their species and culture extinct. However, many Sith—Purebloods and hybrids alike—were still alive and well in the universe.

| Although I am not a Sith player, I know many people who love the Sith on this website. I consider many of these people my friends after the short time I've been here, and with how much I love creating write-ups for the site, I decided to ply my trade to give my friends something they wanted: a site-canon Sith species write-up. Thank you to everyone who helped me, including @Apollyon , @Mr. Teatime , @Xorism, @TheDudeMike, @Logan and others. I don't know much about the Sith, but you helped educate me and assisted me in writing about this species, and I hope this write-up makes you all proud and is something you can consider sufficient. This is my love letter, and thank you to The Star Wars RP and everybody in it for memorable times, good laughs, and a place where I feel welcomed and accepted. |
