When Lady Cyutadakyr arrived, Karys stood by the ramp to their starship. He hadn't expected Cyutdakyr to arrive dressed so beautifully dressed. He found his gaze wandering from her eyes and down to her neckline before pausing. He realized the fire he had begun to toy with, his eyes traced their way back up to hers. He met them without flinching, he dipped his head in respect to her rank, and then allowed a small but confident smile to cross his face.

<Lady Cyutadakyr,> He greeted. <You look ravishing.> He complimented. <And welcome to Skye.>

Karys took measured steps along side Cyutadakyr, informing her on any details he may have not imparted during their previous meeting. As they arrived at their speeder, Karys would allow the driver to aid Cyu into the passenger compartment. He waited to ensure she was comfortably seated, and then slid across from her. After the door had been shut and the driver had left, Lady Cyutadakyr would speak again, in her neutral tone.

<Yes.> Karys replied. <Sovinex Tuus, he's a Muun, an upstart that was cast out from his banking clan and forced to the outer rim.> He explained. <Shrewd, confident, and young.> Karys continued. <He should fall to your whims effortlessly.>

The comment about her appearance drew a half smirk, piercing the veil of neutral hostility she harboured normally. <"Looking for the stinger, are we?"> referencing their conversation from the day before as she caught his eyes shift. <"You wash up well yourself, after all.">

Cyutadakyr listened as her fellow pureblood spoke, having let him have his fun, the details around their target being quite interesting. <"I see. That does sound promising."> She simply responded, the description reminding her of someone else as she glanced his way.

On their journey across the city, as the skyline passed them by. The strange world was full of transports going about their day, hauling goods between facilities, worlds and the like, but only a handful were the ones they were primarily interested in.

Somehow the gems that were supposed to be delivered and processed were being stolen, and it was up to them to figure this out. Posing as a prospective client, Cyu had compiled some faux documents that would appear legitimate on the surface that she represented some interested party from Korriban.

As a new supplier, she suspected that the company would be interested in taking shipment after taking samples, which she couldn't provide. But that would hopefully not be a problem, if they could solve the case before any such arrangement would be necessary. Although not primarily a consideration, she did in fact begin to wonder whether that was something she might achieve anyway, regardless of this deal.

As they pulled up to the company HQ, Cyu waited for Karys to take point for now and handle the introductions.

After the quick debrief Karys gaze pulled from Cyu and out the window. His mind turned to the importance of their task and the consequences if they were to fail. Karys propped his arm up on the door frame and leaned into his hand. He absent mindedly massaged one of his eyebrow ridges as he got lost in his own thoughts. The stress he was feeling would be easily perceived by his companion.

As the speeder came up to the corporate building, it would take a few seconds to realize their journey was over. He blinked a few times, bringing himself from his thoughts and forced the slightly smile back to his lips. When the driver opened the door for them, Karys would step out first and offer his hand to Lady Cyutadakyr. If she took it, he would help her out of the speeder and onto the platform.

<You are Lady Cyutadakyr of House Kalleg.> He told her. <It's a long collapsed House but none of these outsiders will know that.> He continued with a smile. <Are you ready for this my lady?> He asked.

The pair would walk towards the door of the corporate building and Karys would hold the door open for Lady Cyutadakyr to enter before him. He would approach the secretary at the front desk for Skye-ward Mining and clear his throat before speaking.

"House Sadow, I have a three 'o'clock with Mr. Tuus to introduce an interested client." He told the woman, his thick Ziosti accent washing over his basic.

The poor woman would jump, seeming startled by the appearance of two well-dressed demonic looking aliens that stood before her. The tiny blonde human immediately began typing away at her keyboard, more frantically than before. Then she would look up with a nervous smile before leading the pair to an elevator which would take them to Tuus' penthouse corporate apartment.

<Well this should be fun.> Karys whispered to Cyu as the floors slowly dinged upwards.

Lady Cyutadakyr had a funny ring to it that she couldn't determine whether she would enjoy it, and the faux status it brought. Perhaps it would become annoying, a constant reminder that people always want something from you.

Either way, for at least the rest of the day, she'd play her part as the last noble of some long forgotten house. A brief smile encapsulated by her lips, as her thoughts centred around how those very words would sound to her parents, if they were true.

But his question pulled her back to reality, with her smile turning into a slight frown from the disruption, albeit momentarily. <"Mind your possessive adjectives, Mr Sadow. I'm ready."> She softly said, in a neutral tone.

The walk into the lobby was one of elegance and charm, Lady Cyutadakyr of House Kalleg made sure of that. And sure enough, the ruse seemed to hold up to the first test of getting them in. <"For the audience, I'm sure."> She mused in response. Not that she wouldn't enjoy it in her very own way, something far more subtle than the Muun would perceive, although perhaps Karys might.

The real challenge, however, would now begin, as she expected the more ruthless and conniving businessman to crack. Fortunately, that was something her thighs were well versed in.

Fortuitously, when they arrived, the pair would find the elevator itself would arrive in the midst of the living area. The corporate leader appeared to live a life of luxury and without want, naturally on the dime of Karys' father, of course. It didn't take long to spot Tuus as he rose from the velvet leather couch to greet them, his eyes barely breaking with Cyu's as he drew them in.

"Welcome, we always have time for such...beautiful...business opportunities. Please take a seat, both of you." As Karys was technically hosting her here, Cyu simply smiled at the comment, awaiting her companion to lay the grounds for the proposal.

Tuus,” Karys greeted in reply, a faux smile gracing his features. “my father sends his warmest wishes.” He continued.

Ah the House Sadow!” Tuus responded, his gaze briefly flicking over to Karys before returning to Cyu. “You’re here to discuss business I assume?” He asked, his gaze not breaking from the female Pureblood.

Of a sorts.” Karys replied as he stepped into the room to hug Tuus.

As he did this, Karys hand would flick into the distracted businessman’s pocket and pluck out a keycard. He hoped it would be for the elevator behind him, but time would have to tell. The card would be slid into his pants pocket as he stepped back from Tuus.

Then his eyes darted between Tuus and her, a knowing smirk formed on his lips. He could sense Tuus’ lust towards his companion. He found it humorous that the Muun was so smitten with her.

But before we go into that.” Karys began. “Allow me to introduce Lady Cyutadakyr, of House Kalleg.” Karys motioned with his hand between the two. “She represents Kalleg’s mining operation in Korriban and is looking for a processing facility for the gems.” He continued. “I told her that you be able to offer her the most stunning price.” Karys emphasized stunning and glanced at Cyu.

He smirked at her, the twinkled in his eyes would tell her everything she needed to know. Plans had changed, she’d be distracting Tuus.

I’ll just let the pair of you discuss business…privately.” He said, Cyu would be able to pick up on the amusement in his tone as he spoke these words.

Then Karys would back into the elevator and press the close door button. Then he would take the keycard and slide it through the elevator access, allowing him full access of the building. He’d slip his ear bud into his ear and with a chuckle he’d whisper to Cyu through it.

Good luck Lady Cyutadakyr!

Karys would press the 5th floor, unsure where it led him but praying it could at least give him some information about what was happening here.

Lady Cyutadakyr dipped her head slightly, somewhat amused to be already awash with his less than subtle admiration. The pureblood, in turn, took a seat as directed, locking her knees and pointing them in his direction. Tuus, naturally, slipped his way down beside her, annoyingly close while still attempting to appear professional.

"Tell me about yourself." He started confidently, not losing her gaze. "What is there to tell? Well, I suppose you're wondering where my husband is." Cyu glanced down for a moment in phony remembrance. "Unfortunately, we lost Syrak in an accident last year and I found myself running the family business. It's tragic, of course, but accidents can happen to anyone." The emphasis was lost upon the smitten man, but perhaps not the other listening into her conversation.

The Muun placed his hand down upon hers with a heartfelt emotion gripping him. "I'm sorry to hear that. But in a weird kind of way, fate has brought us together because of it?" He fumbled around his courtship, clearly flustered.

As Karys moved through the fifth floor he hunted for anything that might be useful when it came intel. He could overhear Cyu's side of the conversation as he slid from cubicle to cubicle, looking for an opened data terminal. When he heard Cyu mention her "late husband" Lord Syrak, he barely managed to stifle a bark of laughter.

"Is someone there?" A gruff voice called out.

"Shitfuck." Karys whispered in response as he tried to duck down beneath the cubicle line.

"Hey Bob, this is Evan," The masculine voice stated after clicking on a radio. "I think we have someone up here on the fifth floor. Send some backup if you could." Evan continued.

"10-4 Evan, headed that way."

"Lady Cyutadakyr. Get him to turn off the fucking lights, power, something." Karys whispered urgently as he tucked himself beneath the data-terminal desk.

The bumbling suitor caught Cyu by surprised, but with tact skill and with nothing else to do she nodded gracefully. She cautiously listened as Karys ran himself into trouble with one ear while the other was caught up being playfully toyed with by a terribly infatuated Muun.

How in the hell was she supposed to do that, she wondered, with a faux smile keeping him company. Oh, hey mister, can we go check out a power switch in your office randomly. Or somehow getting the lights turned off somehow, as if the security didn't have torches and know where everything was?

Or perhaps she could apply what she already had, eating out of her hand indeed.

"I am of course concerned that the man handling my jewels has the best tier of security, and not some out of shape ragamuffins." She slowly weaved her fingers through his, as she spoke softly. His attention was swift and immediate, "Oh, but we do have the best, not to worry, my dear." Thoroughly enjoying her reception to his moves.

Unfortunately for him, she then began to pull back slightly. "Can you show me? Please? I would love to meet them to be sure." A slightly bummed Muun glanced down at his watch before nodding and tapping a message for Bob and Evan to meet him in the penthouse. "Of course my dear, one moment."

The sounds of the elevator dinging echoed out from behind where Karys had been. He pulled his legs up to his chest as the pair of guards began slowly moving through the cubicles, checking each one. Karys heard them getting closer, he felt his heart rate spike, it seemed like corporate espionage was out of the window.

The their communicators chimed and Tuus' voice echoed out. He demanded they come to his office to exemplify the proficiency of his company's security. The room fell silent for a moment. Karys heard a hushed discussion between Bob and Evan.

And then their footsteps led away.

Karys sighed in relief and slouched in his hiding spot. He was safe for now.

<Cyu.> He whispered into his bead, not using her "official title" or being formal in the slightest. <I could kiss you right now.> He said with a small relieved laugh.

Karys would oogie his way from beneath the desk he hid under and quickly moved towards a back office, where he assumed the office manager would be. He cracked the door open and found a woman sitting behind her desk. She was a human woman who idly chattered on her EZphone about some "project" she was being paid extra for.

Karys waited until she got off of the phone to enter the room. Her eyes immediately shifted to him and panic filled them.

"What are you do-"

"Move and sleep." Karys told her as he waved his hand, his eyes shifting towards a seat in the corner of the room.

He pulled on the Force, using it to influence the woman's mind. The drain on him was immediate but so was it's impact. The woman blinked twice, her eyes glazed over and she yawned.

"You know, I'm feeling really tired suddenly. Maybe I should just take a small nap, the boss won't mind."

She got up from her computer and walked over to the corner chair. Within moments, she would fall into a deep slumber and Karys would have free reign over the room and her data-terminal. He sat down in her place and saw a locked screen. He growled in annoyance at his luck and began to type his first guess at her password.

Pass123Word456

ACCESS DENIED

Word456Pass123

ACCESS GRANTED
WELCOME "Deloris"

Karys stared at the screen slack jawed. THIS was the company his father did business with? By the Force, they needed a holo-net security training.

Karys began quickly going through files, looking at shipment logs. That was when he noticed a pattern. Tuus hadn't just been cheating his father, it had been a majority of his rich customer base. He was taking between five and fifteen percent of each shipment and keeping them for himself. It was theft that went unnoticed because his richest clients often didn't count their goods, they just accepted it and trusted Tuus.

<I think I have everything we need.> Karys told Cyu as he plugged in his datapad and began to download the data. <I'll be headed back up shortly.> He continued, a smile tugged at the corner of his lips. He was about to be far wealthier.

Cyutadakyr held her pious pose quite well as the pair sat waiting for the security to arrive. Hand in hand, the Muun felt quite confident that his stumbling earlier had been overshadowed by his cool wit and charm.

Fortunately for the pureblood, before he could push further the elevator dinged, signalling the imminent arrival of the security heads. "Kiss me?" She emoted, perplexed at his comment. "Say less." Came the immediate response from Mr Tuus, who promptly leaned in before stopping suddenly, startled by the appearance of security.

"Ah, Miss.." Tuus struggled to remember the name Karys mentioned. "This is my two heads of security, Bob and Evan." From their distinct Devaronian look and unique names, it was clear that they were both twins. They in turn bowed their heads respectfully, entirely unsure why they needed to be on this level.

Finally, Karys alerted her to some good news, and the façade would soon be at an end. First turning to her would be suitor, raising a finger to his lips, she softly hushed him. Then she turned to face the security, waving her hand and plying her trade with potent charm. "You two look restless, why don't you go explore the stars once more?"

After a moment or two to consider and stare at each other, the twins confidently agreed that they had outstayed their welcome, quitting on the spot. No sooner had the lift doors closed behind them, Cyutadakyr tightly gripped the Muun's hands together, returning her gaze upon him with an erie smile as she leaned in.

"It seems it is I that have you by the jewels, Mr Tuus."

Karys hummed to himself, he was satisfied with his work. That was until he heard Cyu say something about having Tuus by his jewels. What the fuck was going on? Karys silently turned off his ear bead, stared wide-eyed at the floor of the elevator, and wondered if Tuus had caught the stinger.

The elevator gently chimed as it reached the apartment level. The doors slid open and Karys looked up. He saw Cyu having pinned Tuus to the couch, his hands caught in a vice grip. He chuckled at the Muun's poor luck as we walked up alongside Lady Cyutadkyr.

"We're going to have a conversation Mr. Tuus." Karys began. "It's not going to be one you like." He continued. "There will be right and wrong answers." He explained. "It will not be open book." He teased. "And the wrong answers will have very dire consequences."

Karys would then show Mr. Tuus his financial records where he'd scammed his wealthiest customers. He'd explain to the Muun what would happen to him if this data was leaked. Then he'd explain exactly what Mr. Tuus was going to do to ensure all this went away.

He'd firstly ensure that Karys' father's shipments were restored to their proper amounts. Then he'd refer to the two of them when making company decisions. And 25% of all profits, skimmed or otherwise would be split between the two of them.

Given the size of the company it wouldn't be much, but some compensation was better than nothing at all.

Tuus would agree to these terms to avoid losing his last claim to fortune.

<Well Lady Cyutadakyr of House Kalleg, what is your appraisal of me?> He asked teasingly while they walked out of the building.

The unfortunate timing of Karys' arrival meant that Cyutadakyr's playtime was over. A solemn glare pierced the veil as he spoke down upon the hapless man, caught in a web of his own lies. He had, after all, failed the most ardent tenet of crime there was - don't get caught. And for that, he was fortunate which pureblood was dictating and which was observing.

Only once they had departed and beyond earshot of those distant ears did she speak again in answer to the question posed. Their methods, while entirely different and comparative effectiveness unmeasured, it would be remiss of her to ignore that he had achieved the result that he had sought.

"It would be an error to let the man live." She quietly said with a cold tone. "He stole from your father, and he will steal from you." Perhaps not immediately, but once the dust had settled and the nerves regained, Cyu had no doubt the thief would think he could pull the wool over Karys, like father like son.

The pureblood watched his facial movements, his teasing as they walked along. Blissfully unaware of her internal musing. "You walk with your father's chain anchored to your neck, holding you back." Her words blunt and honest, to her conjecture. "Your inexperience breeds weakness and susceptibility to the influence of others." She referred to their meeting the day before, where anything she said, he accepted without question.

"Shall I continue?" She finally teased, exposing a short smile. "It is not all lost, however. That passion in your heart burns brightly and will light your path forward through triumph and defeat." That was as good of a compliment that he could expect from her, given they'd just met, and he'd tell that she meant it.

A few moments of quiet followed, having delivered what he had asked for, whether it was what he wanted or not. If he expected her to ask the same of him, he'd be waiting some time.

For her own self-appraisal, it was priceless.

Karys walked out of the office building alongside Lady Cyutadakyr. To his surprise, she answered him with honest feedback. She cautioned against allowing Tuus to live, something he already knew. He had no intention of allowing the man to live much longer but he couldn't do that today without leaving a potential trail back to himself. He'd have to buy his time for a while.

<Do no worry Lady Cyutadakyr.> Karys began. <Tuus will die. It might not be today. It might not be tomorrow. But I will return here to tie up this loose end.> He reassured her. <Right now would too suspicious for him to leap from a window or taste the metal of his own blaster pistol.> He explained. <Within the week, he will have taken care of himself. Rest assured.>

It was her next words that made him inwardly bristle. She thought he didn't know of the chain around his neck? The enslavement he suffer at his father's hands? How could he miss that bindings> They were his to bear after all. Despite his offense, Karys didn't speak on his thoughts. He kept his lips sealed in a faux neutral expression. His jaw was on the verge of tensing when her next words came out. They caused him relax slightly instead of continuing to bristle.

Karys shot her a glace from the corner of his eye while she spoke. He listened to her then and genuinely thought about what she had to say about him. He took a sharp inhale, held it for a moment, then released it. <Thank you Lady Cyutadakyr.> He replied with a curt nod.

Kars would guide them back to their awaiting chauffer. He'd open the door for Lady Cyutadakyr and allow her to step inside before taking his place across from her. <I wouldn't have been able to do this without your help.> He stated finally, his gaze turned out the window. <Thank you.>

The confirmation that the snivelling shit would perish comforted the mind and soul. She would have considered Karys a fool, no different to his father, if he had left that mistake in charge.

She watched intently as his body language attempted to hide his emotional turmoil from the words spoken. Despite her harshness, the man held his ground, without betraying himself, while even thanking her for it. That curious detail would linger on her mind about him until the next time they met, a uniquely Karys portrayal.

Climbing into the speeder and taking her seat, he spoke again. "I know." She remarked, cracking a small teasing smile. "I don't think Tuus fancied your legs quite like he did mine."

The positive mood lingered, as she thought back to what he had said on the earpiece, and simply refusing to give up an opportunity to tease him further, she had to ask. "Tuus was inches from knowing, but will you risk finding out for yourself?"

Raising the stakes, the pureblood smirked as she pulled a knife from its sheath and curling her fingers around its hilt to point it his way, now positioned above her thighs.

In a playful yet daring tone, she slowly inquired. "Well, Karys. Am I a ziosti scorpion?" A dangerous gambit posed, she playfully awaited his response as they began to arrive at the star port.

Karys smirked at Lady Cyutadakyr’s response to his thankfulness. The Muun had fancied her, that much was painfully obvious. The comment made him drop his guarded attitude and pull his gaze from the passing cityscape to Cyu.

<I don’t think that’s a fair comparison, he never had the opportunity to see mine.> Karys teased in reply.

It was her next reply that piqued his interest. She told him how close Tuus had been to having known her. She asked him if he was willing to risk everything as well. Then she drew a dagger, its blade was pointed at him, ready for the thrust. Karys’ burning gaze looked from it and then back up to her eyes.

The playfulness in her voice was almost disarming. The challenge was one that couldn’t be ignored. Plus, Karys knew that Ziosti scorpions always stung when they had you within their reach. Karys would reply by quickly moving, he leaned forward and pressing his lips to hers. His hand would wrap to the back of her head as he pulled her into the kiss. He would pour emotion into that single brief kiss, she’d taste his passion and desire but also his fear and if she stabbed him, his pain as well.

It was a brief kiss, it only lasted a handful of seconds, just long enough to release those building emotions. And then Karys would pull away.

The discerning eyes of Cyutadakyr immediately saw results, as Karys drew near with haste. The electrifying thrill of staring danger in the face, or in this case, making out with, seemed too good to pass up for the passionate pureblood.

Her eyes lit up as he leaned in, welcoming his wish. Their lip met, as she felt his taut grip pull her closer. In turn, he felt the stinging pain of the serrated edge pressing ever so slightly more into his abdomen, his own hands bringing pain and pleasure.

A flurry of emotions caroused Cyu's mind as their passionate kiss blossomed, suddenly releasing all the tension that had been building so far. A lifetime of passion, burned within the brief kiss as Karys revealed his mark. The surprising revelation caught Cyu by surprise, seldom wrong yet enjoying the distinction.

And then it was over.

She stared silently, panting softly as he withdrew back to his seat, just barely biting her bottom lip. Few men could claim what he could now, given how guarded she kept herself from their like. Savoring the moment, she slowly pit away the blade, crossing one leg over the other.

"I doubt he would have survived the attempt." She pointedly said, referring to both their mutual acquaintance and by extension, himself. With nothing more to say but their goodbyes, Cyu would nod to Karys as she departed for home.

Ziost, as cold and miserable as it was, might just be fun after all.

Karys felt the blade as it slipped in, it was a shallow wound. He hissed into Cyu's lips before pulling her deeper into the kiss. The pleasure and pain mixed as the blade inched a little deeper. Karys remained there lips locked for as long as he could, savoring the moment before finally pulling away. He gave a quiet breathy laugh as he leaned back in his chair, his eyes locked with Cyu's.

From his peripheral he watched as her chest heaved slightly, a pant as she caught her breath. She lightly bit her bottom lip, it caused Karys to faintly smile. His hand shifted to the the wound on his abdomen and the black blood that leaked from it. It didn't hurt, at least not yet.

<Few can survive the sting of a Ziosti Scorpion.> He retorted. <I'm honored to have been one of those rare few.> A smirk appeared on his face.

Karys walked her to the transport vessel she would be using to get off-world and return to where-ever she stayed. Karys would say his goodbyes to Lady Cyutadakyr, part of him wanted to taste her sting again but he held himself back. Instead he simply watched as he walked onto the vessel and disappear. He would head back to Umbara, return to his dorm, and rest.

He could always reach out to her, he had her number after all.
