Many would prove too near-sighted to foresee a need for the Sith to engage in talks of trade when so much of their recent past had been built on the concept of burning down those who stood in their way and claiming what was once their enemy’s for themselves. Yet war has always been a nuanced beast and in certain instances it would be best to not lay waste to what it was they wished to welcome into their fold of power. Ruins of a once bustling infrastructure were just that; ruins, and unless one was a historian, ruins were of little use. As such, the three pronged invasion along the Rimma Trade Route needed not only Sith warriors fluent in battle but as well a pair who saw the benefits in waging war with words so as to save what they sought to conquer.

Sah’ra immediately volunteered her services to travel to Sluis Van in hopes of establishing a deal with a man known as Kenjac Wildel alongside one of her fellow Sith, Jaikus Altaris, that would benefit not only the Southern Kingdom of their territory but indeed the Order as a whole. Together, they hoped to sway the mind of Wildel and prove to him that it was not only in Sluis Van’s greatest interest to sign a trade treaty but one that could vastly increase his own returns. After all, war was a most profitable venture… Especially if your business was feeding the machine that would wage it across the galaxy.

The orbiting shipyards obscured the planet below, many skeletal forms of ships-to-be remaining docked and worked upon by the thousands of employees, and each of them lay under Sah’ra’s watchful eye as she stood along one of the corridors of the massive construct. Here she waited with Jaikus for the arrival of their man of interest, undoubtedly busying himself with the daily agenda that kept such a facility running. Here she stood, covered in what was one of her favorite dresses, dangling golden earrings falling from each of her lobes as she closed her eyes and took a deep breath of the recycled air. Their meeting was drawing near.

Unlike many within their order, Jaikus rarely enjoyed getting his hands dirty when there was a better alternative. Where some preferred to simply intimidate and beat their counterparts into compliance, Jaikus saw equally-effective ways of achieving his goals. As far as he was concerned, honeyed words and manipulation were as just as effective weapons as the sabers they wielded – and in many cases, moreso. It would come as no surprise, then, that when the call went out for skilled negotiators and diplomats to meet with the leaders of Sluis Van, Jaikus nearly jumped at the opportunity.

Their objective here was simple – to convince this ‘Kenjac Wildel’ that working with the Sith was significantly more profitable than standing against them. While simple, Jaikus knew that the results of their mission today were vital for the expansion of the Sith within this corner of the galaxy. With the orbital shipyards and manufacturing capacities of Sluis Van at their disposal, they would be able to aggressively expand into the south without leaving the rest of their empire exposed to attack from the Jedi and FWA.

Having arrived alongside his counterpart, Jaikus leaned his weight against the wall of the corridor beside Sah’ra, arms folded neatly behind his back. Like her, he’d traded his armor for an ensemble of sophistication and refinement. The Axxilan wore a well-tailored black suit with red accents, floral design delicately stitched across the jacket. It was accessorized with a platinum chrono on his wrist, as well as a Sith emblem pinned onto his lapel.

Flicking his gaze across the corridor to Sah’ra, the Axxilan finally broke the silence between them. “Glad to see I'm not the only one who decided to dress to impress." He mused quietly, a smirk tugging at his lips.

Kenjac Wildel, the proud owner of all the shipyards found at Sluis Van, was notified just koments ago during a meeting that the Sith that had arrived. Sith here of all places? Just why are they here? Well only one way to find out right? Luckily for the two important guests the meeting had been wrapping up so they won't have to wait very long. Naturally the owner of the shipyards was concerned as well as curious at first then followed up with hoping that these Sith aren't the ones that would cut him down the second they see him to lay claim to what he has worked so hard to build.

Many would say that it is greed that got him to where he is today. Well they are right about that. But they don't know his whole story that drove him to get to where he is. Kenjac can admit that going from someone who looked down at his feet every time someone walked past him to looking down on everyone felt great. What also felt good was the fact that now with all these shipyards the employment has gone up so there are less people stuck in the situation he pulled himself out of. So with his rise Sluis Van profited from it as well.

Here is to hoping they aren't here to tear it all down.. Kenjac thought to himself as he walked out of the meeting room. Luckily for the two sith they had arrived just as the meeting Kenjac was in came to an end. So they wouldn't have to wait long for the business man to come around the corner.

"I hope you weren't waiting long." Catching sight of the two the man certainly noted that they are dressed to impress. That certainly has been noted in Kenjac's mind, "From how you are dressed I can see you are here for a long talk. Follow me." He hoped they aren't planning to stay for too long. He may be a business man at the top but there is still a lot to be done to keep the shipyards running as smoothly as they have been.

Guiding the two into the meeting room he had just come from he gestured for the two of them to take a seat, "Do you two desire any refreshments or food to eat while you are here?" He asked keeping the doorway open as Kenjac waved over a droid that worked specifically to bring food and drinks that just happened to be walking by the room.

Sah’ra continued to gaze out the viewport at the construction that was taking place, only offering Jaikus a side glance when he spoke. He was correct, they both looked as though they were not here to negotiate but to turn this entire space station into their own personal gala, Wildel’s office as the dance floor as they would sway back and forth in a twirl of persuasion with the man they had come here to meet. What's more, her close proximity to Altaris gifted her a waft of the young Axxilan’s cologne. His suit was immaculate, his scent turning his presence into a double edged sword as she closed her eyes to fully allow herself the brief enjoyment of it before business would be at hand. Sar’ah would open her eyes once more and turn her head to face Jaikus fully, a smile forming to match his own.

”Your fly is undone,” she would falsely tease, her tone quiet and smooth. While her sarcasm was real, the sounds of her words would not allude to it but they also were just quiet enough that they would not be heard by Wildel who had just rounded the corner behind her.

Turning to face the man, she could feel the unease rolling off of him at the sudden request to meet with two members of the Sith. Their arrival may have been unexpected, justifying his anxieties in their presence, but it was one purely of business. So long as things went their way, of course.

”Certainly not, Mr. Wildel,” Sah’ra responded to their host. ”We’ve only just arrived. I am Sah’ra Ryun,” Offering the man a small bow, she would then pause to allow Jaikus to introduce himself, the Marauder would falling in line behind Wildel as he led them away to his meeting room. Seating herself to the left of the head of the table, Sah’ra would cross her legs and meet Wildel’s gaze, politely raising a hand to decline his offer.

”Thank you, but no thank you,” Through the viewport of the room, the three occupants would be able to watch as as several vessels lifted a life-support skeleton into the underbelly of a frigate that was docked in one of the facilities berths. ”Your facility is quite lively, it seems. I must ask, who have you been providing your newly built ships to?” Shifting her attention back to Wildel, she waited for a response to her inquiry. If they could learn who was his primary clients were, that would give them a basis to move forward from.

While they waited for the man of the hour to arrive, Jaikus had taken to admiring the attire of the woman before him. A dark brow arched suddenly when she spoke. A quick flick of his gaze downward would reveal the woman had only been teasing, but it was enough to elicit an impish grin from Jaikus. “Now that was just unkind.” The man spoke with a less-than-subtle hint of amusement lacing his words.

Before he could return the playful quip, they were greeted by Wildel rounding the corner. Citrine eyes immediately drifted away from the woman to instead zero in on the man, boring into him with almost predator-like intensity. The Marauder flashed a polite smile, one hand sweeping out in front of him as he dipped at the waist before the man. “Jaikus Altaris. A pleasure to meet you.” He made no comment about the length of their wait, feeling no need to reiterate what had already been stated by Sah’ra.

Folding his hands against the small of his back, the Marauder followed behind Sah’ra as they filtered into the meeting room, taking his seat to the left of his fellow Sith. Jaikus waved a hand at the offer of food or drink, a smile still plastered across his lips – a mask that looked as if it had been chiseled into stone. “Perhaps later. For now, let us get to it shall we?” The Marauder’s gaze only then flicked across the way to Sah’ra, gesturing to the woman as she spoke. She had done him the courtesy of asking the important question before he could, opting to wait for Wildel’s response before he asked one of his own.

Kenjac looked between the two Sith after Ryun told him the two had just arrived after the two unexpected guests introduced themselves, "There is no need for formatlities. Kenjac will do just fine." He politely told the both of them. The man couldn't help but wonder if it is the truth or to be polite as the ahipyard owner studied the two of them. It didn't matter really they are present as well as himself so both parties can get on with what brought the two of them here. Which he will soon find out as he led them to the meeting room.

Both politely turned down the offer of food and drink. So they'd rather get down to business? Well the shipyard owner can't argue with that. In fact he agreed with getting down to business himself, "I couldn't agree more with getting to it." He said in agreement to Altaris as the man waved the droid away then closed the doors with a push of a button. Clearing his throat Kenjac will take a seat at the head of the table. As he took a seat through the viewport the three can see that the shipyard is bustling with activity. The closest being the skeletal framework of life-support system being placed into a frigate.

It was now he chose to address Ryun now that he had carefully put his words together. Hopefully they will come across as a businessman looking to protect his assets rather than give out everyone he builds ships for, "I know this may not be what younare wanting to hear. I won't give you a list of those who I build the ships for. But I will tell you that I build ships for whoever has the money to commission the ships.. you can say the highest bidder gets the services of my shipyards. Independent factions.. before you ask.. The FWA isn't one of them.". The two Sith may have been expecting the FWA and Republic to be the main commissioners not a bunch of Independent factions coming all the way to Sluis Van for ship building. Kemjac can argue that the ships he build are just as well built as thoise built for the Republic and FWA. Perhaps better built if he let his ego get the better of him.

But when put in persective it made sense since his shipyards are in a ways too far from Republic and FWA space boundaries to be of any real use to them. Well his shipyards could be of use if they were willing to wait for the ships to be delivered which could be weeks to a couple months depending on where the ships are to be delivered to; that would certainly bring up the costs of the ships to a point that it wouldn't be attractive to bank accounts if that is what a commissioner is keeping an eye on.

Leaning back in his seat the businessman looked between his two guests, "Now.. since I have answered your question. It is your turn to answer mine.. What exactly has attracted you lot to my shipyards?" The nature of the woman's question told Kenjac that they couldn't be here simply to look for new planetary systems to target. There isn't anyone out here who is a real threat to the Sith. It has to do with his shipyards that brought them here.

Rather than speaking immediately, Jaikus reclined comfortably into his seat and knitted his hands in his lap, watching Kenjac carefully as the man spoke. While the polite expression on Jaikus’ face never wavered, it was a warmth that never seemed to reach the man’s citrine eyes, a fact that would no doubt make the man slightly uncomfortable the longer time went on.

While the man seemed vehement about keeping his business associates confidential, he inadvertently divulged the only real information that the Marauder would have cared to know. Whether independent factions and planets purchased ships was, as far as he was concerned, wholly irrelevant. The only thing that mattered to Jaikus was knowing that the current enemies of the Sith were not among his current clientele.

Jaikus nodded towards Kenjac when the man asked a question of his own. The Axxilan drummed his fingers lightly against the desk infront of him, pausing briefly before he answered. “To put it simply; location. Not only are the ships you produce known for their quality, but your facilities are located along the border of southern Sith territory – all around making them the most attractive option when searching for a manufacturer.”

“You claim to build ships for the highest bidder, irrespective of faction or allegiance, yes? Well, let us talk business. The Sith Order would like to commission your shipyards to produce exclusively for us, and I can most assuredly guarantee we can outbid any of your existing clientele. Significantly.”
