Bir was often described as being far too friendly, but why shouldn’t he be? The edginess of many of their number was always just so… exhausting. Dark and broody, mean and moody. Where was the fun in that? The delight found in life came from enjoying being around others in Bir’s eyes. At least until they were no longer delightful to be around, that is.

So when Xeno hesitated in response to Bir’s embrace, the Kel Dor paid it no mind. He could not be expected to deny himself of who he was and as such, could not expect Xeno to do the same.

As the Dathomiran handed Bir the new drink, he looked to his now empty glass in confusion. Had he spilled it all? He HAD! How unfortunate! How irresponsible! Ah, but Xeno had made a good sponge nonetheless. His expression soon shifted back to one of delight as he casually tossed the empty glass over his shoulder for it to be caught by a droid server, muttering scornful comments in Bir’s direction as it continued to roll away. Retrieving the new drink, the Kel Dor dropped his straw in and began to indulge.

”You could say that!” Bir stated, lifting his mechanical prosthesis, now fully restored from the damage it had suffered during the Jedi’s escape. He did not share the Zabrak’s enthusiasm for being injured in battle, though he could not deny some sense of relief that it was merely the arm that had already been cut free of his body that faced the bulk of his injuries. ”Have you ever had to sit under a burning hot lamp for twelve hours while a maintenance droid replaces all your circuitry?! I thought not! No! No! How terrible it is!”

The moment the two Sith Lords entered the room, the feeling in the air chilled delightfully. She could even see it in Tiamat's gaze; a momentary flare of disappointment welled up in her before she pushed it down, keeping her features neutral. She inclined her head as the woman left, but for a moment, stared after her as she walked away.

What did you expect, with such smooth lines?

She took a sip of her champagne, watching as the others began to mingle. All of them knew one another; she was so frequently buried in a drugged haze, she wouldn't have recognized a friend here. But as the previous party had shown, alliances, and even 'friends', could ever go so far.

She took a sip of her champagne again, content to merely be a bystander for the time being.

Artorigas hoped for more than a slight incline but it was also to be expected, the man was well above him in the social hierarchy of the Sith, though the Noble hoped that it would not stay that way for long. Plans were already in motion, some of it sat beneath there feet in the family vault, but it would take some time before that could truly bear fruit. The Darth mentioned the previous little gathering, the one which had benefitted him so well and Artorigas forced a smile, it had been a brutal affair for the young man. Not only due to the wanton destruction but also because it had been his first foray into the wider Sith world. Even know it was a stark reminder that the Sith where brutal and you had to be cunning and sharp to keep your head here.

"Thank you my Lord, though I did not plan the snow. It seems to have taking the heat out of some of our guests." Clicking his fingers another server appeared from Artorgias' other side and held out a second platter full of canapés, most of these were less to his own tastes but made for the guests with more selective pallets or diets. Again three different items littered the silver platter, the first was a large date from Raxus, cut in half and stuffed with a mixture of goat's cheese, pistachios and pomegranate seeds, the later two from Ossus. The second was a small cup made of what appeared to be standard pastry, though the server would inform the Darth that it was made without animal products, inside was a mixture of vegetables steamed and sautéed with a spice topping. The final one was the only one Artorigas himself liked, a small tartlet with gold leaf around the edge, covered in sour goats cheese and thick sweet caramelized onion, the tartlet was finished with a finely crafted Wyvern the symbol of House Wessex, made of thinly sliced and flash fried vegetables.

"Perhaps one of these would take your fancy Mi' Lord?" Artorigas said placing his finished glass of wine on the chair behind him, the glass swiftly taken away by one of the servers. "Bring up the Old Alderaanian wine, I am sure Lord Stolas, would like to try some." It was one of only two bottles the family had and perhaps one of if not the most expensive wines in the Outer Rim. Bottled a few months before the planets destruction by the First Death Star, his father had nearly bankrupted the family purchasing it from an Inner Rim family. He was saving it for an important occasion, though what his father would deem as important Artorigas would never understand, but to him now in the presence of a Dark Councillor he could see no better time.

Seems that Bir has a new mech arm. It was definitely new, otherwise it wouldn't have been so shiny. Xeno was glad that his friend was being taken care of. Not very often you get to just wind down and have a drink with a friend as a Sith. Though, it does seem that the Sith are taking time to spend with each other a little more in recent times. It's not a bad thing, just a little different is all. The Zabrak was okay with the way things were going.

"I see. Well fortunately I haven't had to experience that pain, but I will say almost drowning during my training should be a close second. To the wounds of battle!"

Xeno raised a glass halfway to meet Bir's and would make it his toast. After downing the rest of his drink he would survey the room and notice the amount of Lordship in presence. The likes of Darth Raze, and Stolas. They were high ranking Sith and well respected. It would be good to introduce himself to the Lords and become known among the Sith. Turning back to Bir, the newly appointed Marauder would then smirk as he would ask,

"You ready to meet Lord Raze? I'm sure you have met Lord Stolas in battle. Unfortunately for myself I haven't met the likes of either. Tonight we change that my friend."

The castle Wessex was not new to her. Having been invited to the estate not long after Artorigas reclaimed it from his family. Or so she understood so at the time. However new to such ideas as formal parties she was not sure what to wear to such a thing. After tossing half of he store's inventory on a dressing room floor she finally settles on a simple black dress and laced slip flats. Topping off the outfit with the simple stone talisman.

As she entered the gathering, she spotted one of the servants she had remembered from her first time to the estate. Giving the man a nod, before taking a glass of wine from his tray. Other that the Artorigas and perhaps her Master, Darth Raze. She knew no one else at the party. So naturally the huntress fell into the flow of the room, allowing the her prey to move about the landscape. If an opportunity presented itself, she would strike out. Perhaps gain an acquaintance. But if not, this was a room full of some of the most powerful shadow wielders beyond her home world. She could learn much just from watching the room.

Darth Raze… That was a name that Bir had heard a handful of times since his induction into the Sith. Turning to see the attendees of the party, it was hard to misidentify the towering man that had earned his place amongst the most respected of the Order despite not yet being a member of the council. Of course, it was rumored to only be a matter of time before he had a seat of his own. The Kel Dor’s eyes narrowed behind his goggles as he gazed upon the figure of Raze, a chill sent shivering down his spine. His presence was dominating but of course there were others here that commanded just as much, if not more, power and respect.

”Carry on, my friend! Carry on and make your acquaintance! I shall be along shortly!” Bir smiled to Xeno, motioning for him to continue. Bir had indeed made his way to the Dathomiran to congratulate him on his successes but he was not the only one who had accomplished advancing within their ranks. There was still the host, Artorigas, of whom had performed the same with much more flare and gained not only the title of a Marauder but that of a Lord of Serenno. Spotting the well dressed noble, Bir noted he was not alone but was in the process of entertaining none other than Darth Stolas himself.

Stolas. No one had earned the young Acolyte’s respect more than the Firrerreon and after the events of the battle of Taris, Bir decided now was the time to formally introduce himself. Straightening his shirt and puffing his chest out slightly, the Kel Dor made his way over towards the two Sith, waiting for an appropriate moment to interject in the conversation so as to not offend either of the men before him.

”Lord Stolas!” Bir began with a deep bow, his grin only growing behind his rebreather. Straightening out slightly, he would then turn to Wessex. ”Arty, my friend! Congratulations on successfully reclaiming what was rightfully yours!” Bir continued after offering Artorigas a second bow, though not quite as deep as the one offered to Morgan. Turning back to Stolas, Bir would press on as he laced his fingers at his abdomen. ”It was an honor serving you on Taris, Lord Stolas! Yes! Yes! An honor indeed!” A high pitched chuckle followed as he recalled the invasion.

She knew the stories of Darth Raze. Charlotte tended to believe the Lords of the Sith occasionally purposefully exaggerated those stories. They all played a long and complicated game. By the Darkness, how stupid had she been? Raze appeared every inch the terror from the tales of his reputation. She was careful around Andruil but never afraid. Kriff, Charlotte rarely feared any being. Raze was different. There was simply no denying that feeling. She would need to be extraordinarily careful. She had little desire to meet Malicia’s fate.

Of course, he started by asking her a difficult question. Charlotte did not move. She assumed the Sith Lord wished to keep an eye on the party and she had little desire to disrupt that surveying. Charlotte was honest with Andruil and had found the Queen appreciated such honesty. She hoped the same applied to Darth Raze. “I feel some measure of conflict, my lord.” Her tone was perfectly differential and polite. “Malicia appeared to serve The Darkness faithfully and add strength to our Order.” Her mind searched back to that night. “To watch her surrender without a hint of resistance was troubling. If she was truly so weak, she did not deserve the position she held, but how did she rise so high if that was true?” Charlotte resisted the urge to shrug.

“Questions likely beyond me, my lord. I killed her cultists at Lord Stolas’ command and would again but still...a strange unfolding of events.” Andruil had expressed much the same. The entire party seemed to have left an odd taste in many mouths.

Raze’s helmet turned towards the tray heading back towards him, now carrying an assortment of whiskeys and spirits that weren’t there before. The visor slowly panned until it rested on Stolas across the hall, though nothing in Raze’s posture changed. He looked back towards the tray but that was when he spotted Tiamat walking towards him, leaving behind a less than pleased woman.

“Not polite to abandon a lady,” The mechanized voice spoke curtly once she arrived, visor gazing towards Deva before returning to Tiamat, “And here I thought you would learn from my carelessness,” He stated as he finally reached for a whiskey.

He heard the marauder’s answer at last, not bothering to look towards her. He didn’t need to see the expression to know she harbored fear against him. There was the slightest tremble in her voice that was almost like music to his ears. Raze kept his gaze trained on Tiamat, awaiting her response and giving the impression that he had entirely forgotten his question to the marauder.

In truth, he took in every word and parsed them in his mind. The mention of Malicia's name brought a surprise sting to him. Regardless of what had happened, she had been his wife. There was a part of him that had grown fond of her. She was one of the only ones in the galaxy that never demanded or asked anything of him. Elements of what happened conflicted greatly with his principles. In the end, he hadn't protected his wife. He had turned his back on the oath he had taken and the vows he had made that day.

After a moment, he handed his whiskey to Tiamat and casually held a gloved hand out to the marauder that was seemingly terrified of him, “Care for a dance?” He finally turned his head to regard her, nothing but the metal helmet meeting her gaze. If yes, he would gently lead her towards the dance floor with surprising grace.

Stolas gave Artorigas an appraising look as he summoned more canapes, a brow raising slightly above his left eye. The man was determined to impress and it showed through the expression of wealth and taste. Morgan would seem only mildly interested in the minute morsels although he did try one of the latter Wessex-shaped ones.

He looked curious about the wine, although in truth this was simply because it was both very old and from a destroyed planet. The concept reminded him of a particularly foul, to him at least, variety of whiskey found beneath an old First Order base. With any luck it would not share the same notes of corpse.

"I would," he answered amiably, that distantly friendly smile without teeth returning to Morgan's features. "As would others, no doubt." The Firrerreo could almost feel Raze looking at him, the scent of Corellian whiskey having passed him by at some point. "You've gained quite a bit through your ambition. What's next?"

Bir appeared as well and bowed appropriately to the two of them, Morgan barely inclining his head in return. Golden eyes looked over the Kel'dor for a moment. "You handled yourself well." Although the Mandalorian he'd fought had been injured prior, he'd still participated against two different opponents and won both times. Certainly not beneath notice. "What ambitions do you have, acolyte?"

Stolas had his own ambitions and perhaps they would involve the house of Wessex. Or perhaps not, he hadn't yet decided. Either way he didn't intend to stand and talk with the host the entire evening and his eyes wandered a little over the dance floor, keen ears enjoying the sounds of music.

Xeno had left the conversation with Bir at,

"Very well."

The Zabrak had made his way over to the large and armored dark lord of the Sith, Raze. Though unfortunately by the time he arrived the Darth had offered his hand out to a Marauder he had met previously for a dance. Seemed the big guy was quite busy though the woman by them was not. She had red hair and lovely dress, Xeno figured she was worth speaking to.

"Good evening, m'lady"

Xeno would bow respectfully, and then look up to her with a gentle smile on his face. Making an acquaintance out of the higher powered Sith was a good tactic for getting more powerful. Though, this was a celebration, of himself. Why not meet new people?

"I am Xeno. You must be..?"

Xeno knew her name, but most of the time he would let others introduce themselves. The stories of her successes and failures were noticed by the Marauder, and he was happy to be able to speak with such a highly respected Sith.

It was as though her presence seemed to disgust him as he stated his opinion on how to treat women. Regardless of him speaking through his helmet or not, it rung as quite short toward her, stinging unexpectedly like a parent scolding their child. The woman didn't say a word, but her brow furrowed slightly into a displeased scowl. It was not the type of greeting she was expecting, but then again, what else would she expect from him. She watched him hand the whiskey glass to her, but didn't reach to take it, leaving him to figure out what to do with it as he turned his attention back to marauder and asking her to dance.

Tiamat stepped away without saying anything else and finished the flute of champagne and set down the glass on a passing tray. She seemed to attract the attention of a Zabrak, who she was certain was one of the newly inducted marauders in the Order. He greeted with a bow, introducing himself and then asking for her name.

"Tiamat." she stated, trying to press aside her soured mood, "Congratulations, Marauder Brogroo," she stated a small smile pulled at the corner of her lip, "This is only a start for you, your ambition will get you far within the Sith."

Get your shit together Charlotte. She was not some wilting wallflower. She was Lady Le’Anna. She killed her father the same night Andruil poisoned her mother. Raze seemed built from a nightmare but was mortal like the rest of them…wasn’t he? Just as Charlotte was trying very hard to pump herself up, she was immediately reminded she did play in the same realm as the Sith Lords. The exchange between Tiamat and Raze was awkward. Raze spoke, handed the whiskey towards Tiamat, and the woman walked off. Charlotte simply let the exchange slide past. Just as with the last little ball she decided the careful interactions between the Sith Lords were best left untouched.

Instead, she decided to be herself. She lightly took the glass from Raze's hand as he offered to dance. “A shame to let it go to waste.” She took two sips before floating it to a nearby table. Charlotte placed her hand lightly into his, allowing him to lead her towards the dance floor. How did he move so lithely in all that armor? She almost almost laughed. She could not see his face, he was fully armored, and here she was dressed for success. “Thank you, my lord.” The music shifted to something a little less drab as the Sith Lord and Marauder began their dance.

“How did the events of our last gathering strike you?” She did not expect a straight answers but she hated dancing his silence.

Interesting.

Watching the body language between the two Sith Lords, violet eyes sharpened slightly, still holding onto the champagne flute. When the visor of Darth Raze seemed to turn in her direction, she lifted her glass subtly at him once in a distant toast, and watched as Tiamat was snubbed for another Marauder... Charlotte, was it? She would have approached the Lord herself, but he seemed otherwise engaged. She hated to hover, and three was a crowd by her own standards.

Groups were beginning to gather, and she slipped between them, content for the time being to watch, to observe. She wasn't alone; other vultures spread their wings in this gathering, observing. A beautiful shadow that was unfamiliar to her...

Zara(@Taz), she believed the woman's name was. An intriguing personality no doubt. However, the idea of approaching another person wasn't within the realm of her top ten desires, and dancing meant physical contact, yet another thing she loathed with an intense passion. So she waited to see if there was to be any excitement like the last gathering.

It at least promised to be an intriguing evening.

Raze moved effortlessly across the dance floor, guiding Charlotte along. Every step was practiced and measured, as if he had done this for many years. He raised his hand and gently guided her into twirls before casually tugging her back in towards himself. He switched from one hand to the other, making her travel with him as if she were simply a top he could spin. She was suddenly moving gracefully as well, light on her feet and twirling around him.

By the time she asked her question, Raze nudged her out into a spin and tugged her in so her back was pressed against his chest. However, he paused there as he considered the question. A flood of thoughts came to his normally calm mind, though none of it was externally betrayed.

He thought of what he would have done had he been there. Would have stood before Morgan? Would he have attacked? Would he have chosen a side? Would he have stood for Morgan challenging and threatening his wife who carried his heirs who would cement his hold on the old Sith empire? His jaw tightened beneath the helmet, but still nothing was betrayed.

Raze had a very different response to the question than Emryc. Raze did not love. Raze only knew greed and having others obey him. Raze would have lashed out against anything that threatened his power and claim.

“It is fortunate I was not there,” Raze said simply, gloved fingers almost brushing down along her side. It would appear as a slightly tender gesture but it ended with him simply grasping her other hand and tugging her out into another spin and continuing the dance. It would remain a mystery whether the brush was intentional or not.

He turned her so she faced him, his helmet and visor tilted down towards her.

“I have little interest in bloodshed this evening, Miss LeAnna,” The mechanized voice stated calmly. Raze often knew the names of all of those in attendance in social situations. It was a habit of President Emryc Thorne that bled over, “You may stop teetering on the edge of relieving yourself merely from being in my presence.”

Raze gave her time for little more than a facial expression in response before guiding the dance again.

Malou would admit she was a bit intimidated by the power in the Force she felt and saw throughout the room. Until today, she had met only two who could use the Force. Artorgias and his younger sister, Corneila. So when her master motioned for her to talk to the zabrak, she hesitated. While Artorgias went off to socialize with who she assumed to be someone of higher rank (she assumed, of course, as why else would Artorgias give him such a bow?), the teen stayed in her seat. She picked at her food for a few minutes while she watched those around her mingle. Hopefully courage would build up soon enough within her.

It was when the zabrak left the side of the alien Bir that Malou decided to stand and make her way toward him. She stood, smoothed out her dress, adjusted the veil which concealed her eyes, took a breath, then made her way over toward him. From what she understood, Artorgias and him were acquainted, though to what degree she did not know. By the time she reached him (@Scoobert ) he had already begun to converse with a woman of similar height to Malou (@GABA ). She hesitated, but she had already come so far.

The fifteen year old acolyte approached Xeno and Tiamat. She gave both a respectful bow before speaking.

"My name is Malou D'Amaris," she would say to both of them in a quiet but steady voice. To Xeno specifically she added, "I am Sir Artorgias' apprentice. He sent me to introduce myself."

Fashionably late, as she ever so often was, Prissca arrived at the party after most of the other guests had made themselves comfortable, stepping out of her personal transport wearing a black ankle-length fur coat. She'd decided to let her hip-length blonde locks flow free for this social, the impeccably curled tips cascading over the front and back of her coat as her stiletto heels clicked up the stairway and inside Castle Wessex. She moved with a grace and poise she'd been born into, a dusting of snowflakes resting on her head as she turned fluidly toward one of the servants just inside and let the furs fall off her pale shoulders to reveal the stunning and tight red dress beneath. "My coat is worth more than your life to me, so I suggest you not let me see your face again if you damage it." She lightly threatened the smaller woman, a smile on her lips despite the venom of her words.

One had to look her best, and it had taken her hours upon hours to choose just the right dress for tonight, the mere price of her chosen apparel hopefully saving her the embarrassment of the worst kind of social faux pas imaginable - another woman wearing the same dress as her.

Once her coat had been taken, Lady Kersin made her way through the crowd of Sith, sharp eyes catching sight of a pretty redhead in a shimmering purple dress (@GABA), a token Kel Dor (@Tulos), a curiously stylish set of black armor walking around sporting a red cape (@Sreeya), and several others in just as striking attire. She really was amongst her peers here, wasn't she. At least in one sense. Her gaze would linger on the women more than the men, however, taking in the color and style of each dress she saw and mentally comparing it with her own. A self-indulgent smile soon curled the edges of her blood-red lips, delicate fingers reaching out to lift a flute of champagne from one of the many trays floating by. Hers was the only red dress she saw. It was even better than she expected.

She would make a full circle of the room before approaching their host (@Braden Drake) and offering him the practiced bow of a girl who'd been performing them since she was old enough to walk. She was following the first rule of any party. Schmooze with the host first. "You throw quite the marvelous party, my Lord." Her pale green eyes would shift to Darth Stolas (@Mr. Teatime), offering him his own bow of respect. "My Lord."

Bir was delighted by Stolas’ recognition, however slight, of his efforts on Taris though he had no misconceptions of the role he had played. He was a hyena among lions, picking apart the weakest of the enemy pack. Perhaps it was simply his reservations of open battle after his defeat above Ryloth that had led him to his current circumstance. Perhaps it was because he knew that he was out-classed by the invaders. Whatever it was, he had learned much and had no plans of repeating such actions.

”Thank you, Lord! Thank you!” Bir replied, bowing his head with each expression of gratitude. Yet as music began to play and guests began to pair off, the music triggered something deep in young Bir’s mind. It was a song he had heard before, ages ago in the temple on Ajan Kloss. One his old Master had become deeply obsessed with, often having it play in her chamber for background music while the pair of them poured over his lessons. The notes acted as key, unlocking the cage that had imprisoned the young Padawan deep in Bir’s mind… A sudden wave of remorse and guilt slammed into the Acolyte as he recalled the many deaths at his hands since his descent into darkness… And he felt awful,

The state of contrition was short lived as the music soon shifted, the dancing pairs of Sith altering their movements to align with the new tempo, one of a more uplifting nature. This allowed Bir to return to his “normal” state of mind in time to respond to the Darth’s inquiry.

”Ambitions…” Bir whispered to himself, squinting as he pondered. There was little he desired, which was odd for any member of the Sith. They were meant to be driven by ambition, a desire to ascend. Bir, however, soon realised why it wasn’t the case for him. Turning back to Stolas, the Kel Dor had his answer.

”My only ambition is to restore that which I have lost, Lord. And I’m not speaking of my arm,” Bir replied, tapping the side of his head with his metallic finger. It was at this moment that a new woman appeared though Bir paid her no mind. His attention was glued to the Sith Lord, unsure of what sort of response he would receive. Maybe, just maybe, Stolas could point him in a direction to heal his mind...

"Thank madam Tiamat. Your words are encouraging and well spoken. I do hope to accomplish much more than I already have."

She was eloquent. Is eloquent really. She matches the beauty of his favored Marauder. Xeno was sure that any advice he could get from her would be enough to lead him to the status of Lordship within a few good years. The course of action he should take would be subtlety so with eloquence and carefulness, Xeno would continue to speak,

"So have you eve-"

He was interupted by a young Acolyte who was clearly lost. I mean look at her. She's a kid for karks sake. Xeno couldn't but close his eyes and grunt as he listened to her words. Apparently she was the apprentice of Artorigas. He has been a Marauder for only a couple days.. how the hell did he have an apprentice already... should Xeno have one? This idea rung through the back of his head as he would hear that she was sent to greet herself.

"Greet yourself huh? Well congratulations little one. Step one complete. I guess it is only polite I return the favor.. I am Xeno, Marauder of the Sith.. Newly appointed that is. But anyway.. What is your experience with children Madam?"

He looked to Tiamat. Forgetting his original question because he was never the best with handling younglings. This was small enough he assumed she was 12. Hopefully the Sith next to him was better with words to kids.

Artorigas returned Stolas' rather interesting version of a smile with his own. It was only sensible to be polite to perhaps the most powerful man in the room, it seemed that the canapes had gone down well as had the offer of the rather old wine. At least he could tick that off in his little book about the Dark Councillor, Artorigas turned and gave a nod to the closest served who made to follow the former down to the concealed wine cellar. "We will need to wait a while Mi' Lord to allow it to breathe before we can have a glass. In the meantime more champagne? Or would something else suit your tastes?"

The man's comments about passing out the wine was conflicting, to be honest he would rather only share it with those who's rank could get him somewhere. It was to expensive of a bottle to just hand out to anyone who had decided to join them tonight. Light music had been playing since the beginning a live band nestled above the main entrance had kept the mood flowing so far. But the time had come to up the tempo and with it the evenings first dancing began.

"Thank you Mi'Lord, perhaps Count of Serenno, Duke of D'Astan, maybe even a Kingdom." He replied with a sickly sweet smile upon his face. He was playing half his hand here, showing the Dark Councillor parts of his ambition but not yet how he wished to claim them. "But, that will come in time."

His old accomplice Bir had walked up onto the Dais and gave the pair a bow. Artorigas gritted his teeth slightly at the nickname 'Arty' but brushed past as he nodded to the Sith. "Thank you Bir, your help was appreciated."

Within a few moments they were visited by another a Human women in a rather interesting red dress, it seemingly matched well the Red around the room, the colour of his House. He bowed his head at the women in gratitude for her greeting. "Thank you, Miss?"

Charlotte was spun about in what felt like a beautifully choreographed dance. She simply did none of the work. She followed Raze’s cues and let the Sith Lord twirl her about the dance floor. For a half moment, she forgot she was dancing with a figure who looked more suited to charge battle lines that flit about a ballroom. The armor did not seem to impede Raze’s dancing abilities one iota. She listened carefully when he spoke. His tone and mind betrayed nothing. She knew better than to try to read the thoughts of a Sith Lord. They had more finely tuned control than the rank and file. As he answered, a finger brushed down her side before spinning her out again.

Intentional?

She could not tell. Charlotte was slightly surprised when Raze spoke her name. She could not define her relationship with Andruil. Were they friends? No. Master and Apprentice? Also no. Partners? Maybe. It was not beyond the bounds of reality that her name may have slipped out. The next words cut a little deeper. Well…she had done a terrible job concealing her concern. Charlotte only had time to click her tongue before she was spun out again. She grabbed hold of that foolish emotion and shoved it down. She was not afraid. She was mad at herself for even allowing those thoughts to creep through. As the dance guided them closer together again, she spoke.

“Yes…unbecoming.” The Hapan Sith was not so childish as to be unable to accept her foolishness. “I was uncertain what to expect given your reputation…and how the last party unfolded…still embarrassing. Charlotte had learned the hard way no one was safe, no matter their station, or their power. She had lost herself when confronted with the Sith Lord. It was embarrassing. There was no denying that.
