Sol Kenuk's Sith Armor

When you're a man with a lot of money and a hobby that often proves more deadly than not, it's almost inevitable that you would reach out for a set of durable survival gear to aid you in your endeavors, and that's exactly what Sol has done. The armor is sleek, dark, and expensive, but while it might look entirely ominous, it's not just for show.

The robe itself is both expensive black silk and a valuable armorweave underlay, providing both flexibility and light protection across the body. Segmented armorplast makes ups the bulk of the armor itself, covering the chest, along with both upper arms, from shoulder to elbow. Additionally, this light armorplast covers his lower arms, offering some additional feelings of security. The gauntlets are broken around the wrist to provide maximum joint flexibility, but the armorplast does extend around his talons for a menacingly sharp look.

Because Sol Kenuk is a Kel'dor, insuring that his anti-ox mask and goggles still fit comfortably over his head is of the utmost importance. For this matter, the armor itself is equipped with an armorweave hood, but no helmet. A visor fits comfortably over his goggles, providing some useful functions, and an anti-ox mask custom made for the armor itself has been altered with a special filter function of it's own.

LEGALITY

This armor is custom made and worn by a nefarious Sith, and as such, would likely give off alarm bells for anyone else outside the Order that is seen wearing it.

INTENT

To make some basic armor that looks cool, and fits into Sol's admittedly absurd level of taste. Additionally, because he is Kel'dor, I wanted an armor that better fit around his needs, since helmets can be rather annoying to deal with.

Type and Coverage

Type: Light

Coverage:
  • Torso: Segmented plates of armorplast provide a rigid look while also offering decent protection.
  • Upper Arms: Armorplast offers stylized protection from shoulder to elbow.
  • Lower Arms: Armorplast gauntlets protect the forearms, hands, and fingers.

Functions

Function 1: Armorweave Underlay
  • Most often in the form of a heavy cape, skirt, or underlay beneath armor, armor weave provides some protection against the penetrating effects of shrapnel from explosives and other unpowered high velocity impacts, with only a small amount of bleed through damage (bruising or very minor wounds). It offers no protection against kinetic impact or energy, vibroweapons, or similar "powered" weapons. Having more than one accessory (example: Cape + underweave) provides no additional effect.
    Force User Compatible?: Yes
Function 2: Vision Modes
  • This Allows a Helmet HUD to cycle to low-light OR thermal vision modes.
    Force User Compatible?: Yes
Function 3: Anti-Ox Mask Filter
  • Filters are bulky attachments to a helmet, or function as part of a mask, that filter out environmental contaminants such as smoke or most toxins. They are susceptible to caustic substances and damage.
    Force User Compatible?: Yes
