Crix let out a long breath he hadn't realized he had actually been holding when the door opened without issue. Turning to look over his shoulder, he noticed the way the eyes stopped glowing an ominous red colour and couldn't resist the way his shoulders slumped. The tension that had been building slowly dissipated just a little bit, just enough for him to actually take a second to catch his breath.

Apparently green was still a fairly good colour - or at least not one that told him he was going to be facing imminent danger.

He did his best not to think about what would have happened had he gotten the code wrong as he pushed on ahead. There were things down here beyond explanation but he couldn't take the time to focus on them, not when he still needed to stop the overall plot happening at large here. Something was calling him forward, driving him to move with an urgency that was so very at odds with the dread that still sat heavy in his gut.

Stepping into the room was immediately not great - already he could see how very badly things were going to go. Not because he had the Force or any particular insight so much as he had seen horror holofilms in the past and this had all the makings of the climax of the film. Where the worst challenge the heroes would have to face would come out...

"Force freaking damn it..."
he muttered as his grip on his lightsaber tightened as an unholy creature beyond the will of the Force arrived and began to devour Allery, "This is karked up... so karked up!"

He wasn't trying to state the obvious but, well, there it was. Taking another deep breath, Crix stepped further into the room, heading for the two people who didn't seem to be under the thrall of the damned demon thing. Although spotting the way something was glowing on Ashla's chest, he wasn't too sure about that.

"How about you don't take tips on salvation from a demon from literally beyond the Force?!"
he called out to Ashla instead, before turning to Trini, "What did I miss? Why is she glowing and what the fuck is this thing?"

Lorcan didn't like the look of the woman with long sickles in her hands... his mother had always told him that women with knives in hand were women you wanted to be very careful not to piss off. He was absolutely going to take that to heart right now because it looked like there was some kind of weird cross between and angel of death and some Sith lady ordering him to go to his room.

Wait he had a room here? No, that didn't sound right.

The Sith trooper just stared at her for a long second without saying anything before sighing a little bit. He really didn't want to fight someone like this but it looked like he was going to have to because no witch-bitch was sending him to his room without supper just because she had knives for hands or whatever.

"Lady, you're making me agree with the sunshine and daisies brigade. But I think I speak for all of us when I say, with all the offense intended..."

He raised his right hand in her direction, wrist angled towards her throat.

"Go die in a hole."

He fired his wrist blaster and immediately made a diving run to try and make it around her - the door behind her seemed like a way out and he was 200% done with this place.

There would be no time spent waiting for comment from the raven haired man, his intentions to fall back and rescue the masked mouse clear by the drawn blade in his grip. The Mandalorian and the Arkanian had made their own choice to follow her, and her light, towards the possibility of freedom or potential knowledge. Both options were preferable over retreating into the darkness and back towards any previous threat they had faced thus far though the Sith had an unquenchable thirst for mastery of the arcane. She cared not for the lives lost in her quest for understanding the greater mysteries she was confronted with, leaving the man who would be Laeonas alone with this endeavor should he aim to pursue it. A shame, such potential he would have as a Sith had he not harbored such concern for others. Let the two men face their own downfall in the hands of darkness; she had more pressing matters at hand.

Moving almost as though she were floating down the corridor, torch held high and ahead, Sah’ra maintained a locked gaze on the yellow light before her as Ripley and the Mandalorian fell in tow at her back. While her expression remained stoic and dedicated, in her mind she was surprised to see she wasn’t alone. The Mandalorian had been missing for some time, left to fight for his life in the antechamber. Indeed a testament to his creed and clan, a Mando’ade truly never disappoints. The woman, frightened and shattered as she had been mere moments before, had returned to normality. Or rather what seemed to be. Whatever lurked behind her white eyes, infesting and intertwining itself within her feeble sanity, was cause for caution.

”Believe it or not, it was a kindness rather than a cruelty. Your pretty little nose is still intact so consider yourself… fortunate,” the woman responded slyly, the corners of her mouth twitching upward ever so slightly. ”Had it been one of the others, they may have found themselves in a worse condition,” she continued, tilting her head back towards the Mandalorian ever so slightly before addressing him directly. ”Of course, not you, my dear. You’ve been quite the asset to our little expedition party,” Her tone mused with sincerity, false as it was.

As the crimson rain began to fall, a scowl etched itself across Sah’ra’s face. Creases broke across her forehead, concern faltering her barely contained anxieties. What matter of magic was this? Or was this magic at all? What fate had the poor harlequin boy suffered? Were they now being pelted by his blood whilst suspended above? Glancing to what she suspected to be a darkened roof, she was instead greeted by the night sky flecked with lightning. Beyond the clouds, something… sinister. Shaking her head as she returned her focus ahead, the Sith convinced herself that this was yet another illusion… Or was it?

Each step forth brought them closer and closer to the yellow light ahead, but soon something began to change. The once emerald light that had guided them through the dark tunnel system had begun to transition as though it was absorbing the crimson rain. Green shifted to red, the space around them the light touched beginning to close in on it’s source. In moments it would enclose around them. Already it was half of what it had once been, which was hardly much of anything to begin with. Her heart raced at what this could mean, what this could result in. She wanted to run, race towards the yellow glow ahead. The hairs on her neck began to stand on end, her skin growing clammy and cold with fear. But her theory remained untested, causing her to throttle her panic.

”Remain calm and stay steady…” she whispered, eyes darting across the ever shrinking illuminated area around them. ”Panic has not served us well thus far and I fear it will not now…” Yet even as she said the words, she began to harbor doubt.

"Don't worry about it, Charlie," he told Charlie kindly, sincerely, as he holstered his blasters. "If that's even your real name... nah, doesn't matter. See you never? I'm stuck here with Mommy over here, after all."

With one last amiable wave, he watched as the female Sith disappeared into the mystery room.

The Padawan agreed with the Sith's sentiments. Just because they've been through some freaky stuff together for a short period meant that they could automatically call each other friends. Still, he hoped that the glowing orb ahead and the Woman's words weren't laced with any tricks. He disliked the Sith in general – afraid of them, even – but the fear he'd seen and felt from Charlie was too real and visceral. Sympathy was all he could offer her, and the hope that she had truly found a way out of this nightmare place.

Now back to the Woman–

It didn't matter that the Force had warned him that something bad was about to happen. Arctus's reaction time became non-existent the moment his booted feet left solid ground, body sailing past the room and through the doorway to the anteroom. The wall behind him was the only thing that stopped him from being thrown further, the metal of the blaster rifle digging painfully against his back – his blast vest be damned. The back pf his head would've met stone with a solid crack of it weren't for his quick thinking, bringing up both hands to cradle the back of his skull before impact.

The former smuggler crashed to the floor, terribly winded and stunned by the sudden force that threw him out of the room and away from the doors to freedom. Perhaps it was pure luck that the group (plus the Sith trooper) he'd left earlier to investigate the church with Charlie had just gotten through the rubble of the collapsed ceiling or else the former smuggler would've bowled someone over as he was thrown away like a rag doll.

Arctus struggled to get up but pain lanced across his body. He couldn't tell if something was broken but he hoped that all his bones were still in working condition if a little banged up and bruised–

Hazel grey eyes widened, gaze falling upon Clove, Felix, and Ruzaan who werr now in the anteroom with him. They were safe. They look shaken, covered on dust for reasons unknown, but safe. A weight was lifted off of the former smuggler's chest, face lighting up with a grateful smile, but they were quickly crushed by the Woman's reappearance.

Her demeanor had changed, and clutched in both hands were a pair of sickles that looked like they could cleave more than flesh and bone. Through the Force he could feel the same weight of the fear he and Charlie had felt earlier, emanating from the weapons that appeared out of thin air. The white mist that suddenly crept over the ground didn't help.

Return to their rooms?

Ruzaan's and the Sith trooper's quips didn't go unheard, but Arctus didn't have time to flash them a look of pure disbelief.

"We have to get past Her," he told the group as he shakily rose to his feet. "She said the doors ahead lead to liberation –Charlie's gone through, it's our only way out."

The Sith trooper was the first to act and Arctus was quick to follow, drawing one blaster and firing three shots towards the Woman – one aimed at Her face and the other two at Her torso.

That's new. The thoughts came unbidden to the Togruta's mind as the room was plunged into darkness, her thoughts still on the figures with the blurred out faces. She had seen many a horror movie on the holonet in her bid to catch up on lost time, and had seen many a variation on scare tactics and monsters, but this was indeed new for her. And the surprise of that had pushed past the fear, uncertainty, and irritation that was consuming her at the moment.

As the candles came to life, brining back sight to them, Ashla first noticed the sounds. The chanting had stopped, and the blurred figures were gone, replaced by something new. She watched as the being dispose off Allery, almost draining the very life out of her.

That was when she felt the pain on her chest, and as it got worse that was all she heard. Normally she would tap on that pain, master it like she had been taught, and use it it to call on the Force. But the Force was still lost to her here, and without it she lacked a conduit to divert the pain towards. And in that moment of confusion she gave in to the commands.

Both blades sprang to life in her hand, and she turned on the little Amaran near her. That was when Crix's voice rang out, the unexpected presence of another making her pause for a briefest moment. She looked down at Trini and for the briefest of moment her image shifted, and she could almost see something else. Malou, standing before her, defenseless, at her mercy. Ashla glanced towards Crix and he shifted as well, in his place standing Aadya. Around them she saw others, dead and alive, old friends and new.

She stopped, and let her blades drop to her sides, before turning around to face the being. Her chest burned, but she did not bend to the pain. She had felt pain much stronger than that when she had lost her cadre, her family. Those had been her friends, and the pain of their loss dwarfed anything she felt in this moment. And that gave her the clarity she needed.

"My salvation," she addressed the being, slowly walking towards her, ignoring the others for now, "was my friends. What salvation can you offer if killing them would be the price?"

Crumbling Ruin
Dark Chamber

"You must be joking?" The Sith word's cut. He couldn't quite put a reason to why, but the way she said it left him stunned. The delivery, the implications-- it was so... harsh. He'd faced verbal tirades of abuse and come out with a smile on his face; yet this woman's jab left him with his mouth agape. He fumbled to think up a response, left stunned as she so effortlessly suggested leaving a man to die.

It was a decision he was prepared to make, but it wasn't one he'd relish. This wouldn't be the first near death experience he'd been involved in that ended with leaving someone to face the music. Yet the thought left him feeling sick to his stomach. Did he want to do this again? Would he be able to move past this? Could he justify it to himself, as he had so desperately tried with Kamelle? With Andros? Alexias? Zenas?

"Damn ya fer makin' me choose." He thought to himself, nails digging into the half melted palm of his hand. "Ya fuckin' moron. Damn ya..." he thought, exhaling loudly. The Sith's words prattled on, directed at the albino and the Mandalorian. Her thin veneer of benevolence or respect was as transparent as a pane of glass, and if either thought it was genuine, they deserved all the suffering that came with trusting a Sith. The Mandalorian was competent enough, but that albino civilian was in such a sorry state that she might actually think it was real.

Than, yet again, their surroundings changed. A blood rain began to pour, with only the torchlight keeping them from being drenched. The man's jaw clenched, and he looked up into the sky, lightning cracking to show a barely veiled, distant colossus. To go from a ruin, to the arrival of incomprehensible abominations, to... an open, misty outdoor area with a possible giant in the background? Any sense that they might be operating in a concrete reality finally shattered. Undeniably, this could not be real. Whether what happened to them in here mattered was a different question entirely.

It wasn't one Laeonas was ready to find the answer to. Yet as they moved through the fog, frustration at their situation-- at the decision he'd just had to make-- at the bigoted civilian and her pet-like following of a Sith, and the callous, manipulative behavior of said woman-- it was all to much to bare. He was tired, angry, and he wanted this to be over. What he was about to do probably wouldn't work-- but he didn't care.

"...what are ya gettin' out of this?" He'd ask, turning in the direction of the behemoth's obscure figure. "Torturin' us laike this-- is it fun? D'ya need ta do it? Cause either way, tha trickery is gettin' mighty karkin' exhaustin'." He called, not bothering to wait for a response. There was no intense hatred, or fear-- just a tired demeanor with a hint of frustration.

"If ya plan on killin' us just get it over with already. Otherwise, just let us go. Ai ain't int'rested in killin' th'at old witch anymore." He lied; the man still really, really wanted to kill Gamall. But he was used to disappointment, and coupling that with escaping with his life, and it might not be to bad if he couldn't take revenge on this thing in some form or another.

By now, he'd noticed the glowing ball of light in the distance. He let out a long, audible groan. Was this genuine salvation, or just another trick? How many hoops would they need to jump through to escape this place? How many more did he have to let die so he could live? How long before he was finally brought down, and the choice to save him was left up to some white haired history major who hated him for breathing, a hardened warrior who he'd assaulted, and a Sith?

Was it finally time to do it? Looking down at the vibrosword, he pondered how easy it would be. To run the blade up his forearms, and just wait. The horrors that felt and acted real wouldn't be able to torment him anymore. The guilt for his failures wouldn't hurt once he was one with the force. Just a few cuts, and all his troubles would be over.

...no.

He wasn't dying here; that had been something he'd decided on. Damn the rest of them, he would make it out. Damn the rest of them, he'd survive. This ruin wouldn't be his tomb.

With an added pep in his step, the man walked alongside the others towards the light.

Trini shielded her face as the rushing of wings sounded all around them. When the creature revealed itself, the little Amaran felt a chill, her eyes widening slightly at the newcomer's words. She looked up at Ashla apprehensively, and saw the Togruta's expression as she gazed back at her.

At Ashla's words, Trini felt a rush of relief, and turned back to face the strange creature. She looked to the husk of Allery on the ground, then back up to the strange, eyeless face, and raised her weapon toward it.

"I don't think she's going to do what you say." The Amaran stated simply. "Myself, likewise."

Felix's question was answered almost immediately as Arctus came flying into the room before hitting a wall and landing on the floor, his eyes were drawn to the room Arctus was just flung from, seeing the women the long and otherworldly black sickles in her hands as she demanded them to return to there rooms.

Felix let the other two make quips back her while he simply to his lightsabers into his hands and activated them hold the both of them in the same grip as before, their orange glow once again lighting up the area around him.

with the sith trooper and Arctus firing, Felix would use it to cover his advance on the lady to thrust at her chest with his Main saber, engaging her in melee so others could move into better positions while he distracted her.

Crumbling Ruin: Dark Chamber
~~~
Ripley couldn't tell if the Sith woman was being sincere or sardonic with her "You’ve been quite the asset to our little expedition party" comment. After such a public display of instability, the Arkanian had to assume the latter despite the woman's sincere tone.
Still, the Sith was right. Ripley considered herself lucky, fortunate that she had not been left behind to fend for herself as the jester. The Sith and raven haired man had given up on that particular member of their party, and he would be left to the darkness to fend for himself. As incompetent and ridiculous as he was, a small part of the Arkanian hoped he would make it out alive. Of course, she was in no condition to search for him. The Arkanian had no light source, and she wasn't exactly in the right frame of mind to go galloping off after someone she didn't know and didn't care to know.
"Thanks... I guess," she would eventually reply to the Sith, continuing to follow the emerald flame that would hopefully guide the group to safety.
The pitter-patter of rain resounded through the hallway, gentle and distant but edging nearer with every step she took. At first, the Arkanian had to wonder if she was imagining things again, but then she saw it. Raindrops, heavy and generous—each drop a bright, vivid red. The sky above them was dark and full of large, ominous storm clouds, illuminated only by the lightening that streaked across them.
The group was outside now. Or were they?
Ripley swallowed the lump that had settled in her throat, daring to reach a hand out with the intention of catching a raindrop. Could the others see this, too, or was this just her imagination at work? Was any of this real?
As usual, the raven haired man was no help, calling out to the figure obscured in storm clouds. There was less malice in his voice than earlier, but each word that tumbled from his impudent lips rung with accusation.
"You idiot," Ripley snapped at the man, as if she were a mother chastising her small son. Her voice was low, but she had a feeling that whatever that thing in the sky was could still hear her. "What are you thinking? Were you raised in a barn on Nar Shaddaa or something?"
They were fortunate that Arctus had the information about how to escape this place lest they be forced to fight this woman to the death. The thing that would be noticed by everyone here was that she was fast. Almost a blur to the eyes as she swung the pair of scythes in a whirlwind of death.
The wrist blaster only narrowly missed as she darted to the side but the shots by Arc flew far wide with the speed she moved. She continued moving rapidly, staying just out of range of Felix's saber and using the greater reach of her own weapon to sweep, looking to take his head off in a single slash. Though he would find that he could block such a strike, he would have to be absolutely on his A game to do so.
To their advantage, they would now notice that in her dodges, she had moved aside just enough that some of them may be able to dart for the exit door under a hail of covering fire, but their window to do so would likely close in only seconds. It was now or never.
The lady did not respond to Ruzaan's sarcastic question and instead proceeded to attempt to send Felix (@christhebetrayer) back to his room without his head. Shocked by how quickly the woman could move yet not surprised that she had woken up and chosen violence, Ruzaan glimpsed the opening left by her dodging the initial barrage of blasterfire and understood the significance of it. Freedom. A quick glance towards Arctus and Felix conveyed all his hope that they had the same idea that he did; run.
With as much gusto and speed as his entrance into the place, Ruzaan grabbed Clove (@LilyNion) by the wrist and took off towards the light, making sure he kept himself between her and the scary lady. She'd dragged him into the mansion, so he thought it appropriate to pull them out of it. Hopefully the light at the end of this freakish tunnel wasn't a Star Destroyer...
Clove had no idea what was going on with her back to the room. It sounded like a fight, but thanks to her incredible speed, even Clove's sensitive ears had trouble locating the old lady's exact location.
Then, before she could properly look around to see what was going on, a hand grabbed her wrist and started dragging her away. She turned around with a startled yelp and saw Ruz sprinting to the door, shielding her with his body. That was enough of a cue for her to sprint alongside him as quickly as she could, straight to the door.
A pang in her stomach told her she couldn't just leave everyone behind, but she also knew she was practically useless and that getting her out of the way would benefit the group in some way. Be it because Arcus and Felix didn't have to worry about her anymore, or because she wasn't a liability anymore.
So, with that in mind, she cast a final glance behind her at the Sith, Rangers, and Jedi, praying to the Force that they would follow her and Ruz, before diving toward the light tunnel.
The Mandalorian decided to ignore most of the comments and chatter between the other members of the group, just gathering info from what he had been hearing, the white haired woman didn't seem to be in good shape even if she had not been physically attacked, but the sith witch seemed to be the one in best shape, was it because she was a sith or because she was holding the light? It didn't matter, the second option was something that forced him to follow her regardless.
The change in scenery was welcomed, even if still strange, Drak just didn't have it in him to be weirded out by strange, witch phenomenons inside the cursed bloody ruins, he didn't know if it was an illusion or not, but thinking that they were safe because it looked like they were outside was just foolishness, they just had to keep moving and keep calm, like the sith said.
And then Laeonas talked, the Mandalorian kept looking forward despite what he said, he let the white haired lady say her piece and, after a few seconds of silence, spoke his mind "You know the answers to those questions, if they gained something from just killing us, we would've died already, it's suffering what they want...Or more pieces of us that we won't remember." The Mandalorian said as he reloaded his blaster, the click of the gun being the main thing that could be heard "Only you can give yourself a quick death in here, but I wouldn't reccommend that. Steel yourself, because the only way we can come out of top is by taking advantage of the fact that they decide to not kill us outright...We are toys, and we soon will be broken toys if they get bored of us before we can escape."
While he lay on the floor, Senin started to feel so comfortable. It was like he was being hugged by someone. It has been years since he felt this way. Maybe he could stay there forever. The young man was slowly starting to sink on the floor.
However, the Acolyte remembered where he really was. A cursed ruin on an unknown planet. If he continued there, he was obviously going to die. He don’t want it. Senin didn't want to die in this place. There were still things that he wanted to do.
Due to his desire to survive, Senin would try to get up from the floor. With him sinking on it, the Acolyte didn't know if there was any hope for him this time. However, he would continue trying to escape.
The Woman's speed was astounding, to say the least. Though instead of feeling in awe at how fast she moved and dodged from both the wrist and handheld blaster fire, Arctus felt frustration and no short amount of worry. Fear threatened to overwhelm him as she moved to strike Felix but his desire to protect his fellow Padawans refused to be buried beneath. Ignoring the pang of pain that lanced through his torso (he really, REALLY, hoped that no bones were broken) he acted accordingly and as swiftly as he could as one of the wicked sickles rushed towards Felix.
Trusting both Clo and Ruz to keep their pace up as they darted past the opening left by the Woman and towards the Mystery-Freedom Room, the former smuggler focused more in supporting his Padawan brother. While it seemed to Arctus that Her strike could be blocked by Felix, the older Padawan didn't want to fall into supposition. So as she moved to strike, Arctus would run after the pair of younger Padawans to feint his attempted escape. Blasters still raised, he would then aim and fire two shots – one aimed at the sickle meant to strike Felix and the other at the hand that held said weapon. His blaster held by his left hand, on the other hand, would aim low and fire a single bolt towards her legs – it wouldn't matter which of her legs would be hit as long as his aim would hold true.
Right.
Time to get the fuck out of dodge.
Ducking and weaving his way under some slashing weapons from the woman he probably couldn't actually name properly, Lorcan decided that he had officially had enough of this place. Thankfully she seemed much more interested in decapitating one of the Jedi Children and that?
That was a win in his book.
Ducking around to the unguarded side of the woman, he made a break past her for the door that she had been guarding. For such a fearsome creature to be guarding nothing of real importance would be such epic bullshit. But judging by the way the Sith seemed to have disappeared entirely through it? Seemed like a good bet that it was something he could use to get the Force away from this situation.
Still, he couldn't help himself.
He had a soft spot for dumb kids - he spun on his heel as he reached the door behind the woman and shot again with the wrist blaster, this time at her upper back before ducking through the door. If it helped the child? Cool. If it was just something to piss off the creature that had stood in his way?
Also good.
Not-So-Abandoned Building
The woman moved fast, faster than Felix had expected of her and she had the reach advantage, his shoto raise to intercept her attack just managing to stop her blade in time, his own shoto pushed towards his own neck only inches as it bathed his face in its glow.
He would try to disengage from the woman, he was clear outclassed by her but he had succeeded in distracting her from other and had given them a chance to run, pushing her with the force to gain some distance from her and would begin to retreat towards the doorway with others, his back never fully turned to face her as he kept the majority of his attention on her ready for her try to strike at them as they tried to flee.
Abandoned Building
True as always, she was quick. Arc's shot managed to strike the sickle, knocking the blow back for the slightest moment to allow Felix the block. But she kept moving, the shots aimed at her body flying past but forcing her to retreat from making another direct assault.
Instead she spun backwards, one of her scythes scraping along the ground before launching a torrent of ice and concussive energy outward. It wasn't actually aimed directly at the retreating explorers, but rather toward the wall.
It slammed into the building and the roof began to come down. She seemed unperturbed by the debris falling all around her, almost magically missing her as she stood there.
Her face - or what little of it they could see - was etched with anger, but she pursued them no further as they piled into the room.
As with Charlotte, they would each find themselves deposited in their ships, inexplicably repaired or fueled and far away from the planet itself. The aches and pains in their bodies would tell them that it wasn't all a bad trip or terrible memory, but the evidence of where they ahd just been would lead them questioning and perhaps trying to pursue answers to what they had just experienced.
Who was the woman? What was the building? What would happen had they remained and "returned to their rooms?" The questions would linger, but no answers would come. Not this day.
