DESCRIPTION​

This strange, C shaped weapon is the product of years of ingenuity and technological progress. With two extendable vibroblade bayonets on either side of the curved dynamic weapon, and an optional arm brace for recoil retention and equal force distribution, it stands as a pinnacle in the arms industry.

One of the very few weapons to come default equipped with imbedded bayonets. These bayonets are likewise curved and sharpened on either end, vibrating at high frequency as to allow combat against a lightsaber or equivalent weapon. The blaster rifle components take a slight hit with a single barrel capable of firing only a handful of medium range blasts. Luckily, the robust ventilation system allows for rapid cooling, with a readily accessible battery compartment. Switching battery packs is possible, though not always ideal.

LEGALITY​

Legal with it’s vibroblades open and on full display in areas controlled by the ISC or Galactic Republic. When the bayonets are concealed, the weapon is therefor breaching concealed weapon and mag-extendable blade laws. Exceptions are applied to members of the military and law enforcement in said regions. Outside of said laws, each planets and individual government can choose to enforce whatever sanctions they wish.

INTENT​

Honestly, I was considering submitting a weapon template for the Mon Cala Spearblaster. But after some research I found this bad boy, which essentially replaces the force pike or vibroblades post TLJ. Seeing as we have limited amounts of sequel technology, I figured I’d go with this as my melee/blaster hybrid entrée. Should give players who aren’t force users (and those who are and prefer blasters) better versatility when facing their laser sword counterparts in close or medium range engagements.

RESTRICTIONS​

The trigger and barrel mechanisms cannot be modified in any capacity. In that regard, the trigger come equipped with a timer (.5 seconds, basically don’t spam) to prevent the barrel from overheating. While this function can be disabled, your ammo will be cut down to 30 rounds - once you reach the end of the clip the barrel will likely combust.

Thank you, I hadn’t gotten around to it yet. And yea, I can see why. The alternative I can see is making the damage light and the alternate mode a two round burst (with a timer delay, not a spammable trigger unless you want the barrel to explode.)

I mean, even with the 2-round it's still an automatic double-tap. Generally, I'd like to not have that capability in anything quite this compact.

If it's important to have that amount of rounds coming out just as 'flavor' you could say its similar to how the double barrel of the RSK-44 works. Of course you could also always add the restriction that these can't be used in PvP combat and that would probably eliminate any concern of them being an issue...maybe.

Honestly, I was only intent on adding a select fire mode because of modern day repeater logic. If we go by 1800s lever action logic, then single action can be just as useful. It’s not too too big of a difference. But I might want to add a .5 second timer restriction on the carbine, otherwise the barrel will explode in PvP. Just to be on the safe side, and keep it useable with IC repercussions.

Even without full auto, a semi with a hair trigger can be just as ridiculous. I understand what Autofox means after thinking about it.
